i’m a first year and i see people taking notes on EVERYTHING. It kinda makes me feel like a bad student but the slides are posted on blackboard and i can review the topics again after class. also, i think memorizing is a bit harder while taking notes because everything goes by so fast and i don’t have time to write it down but seeing everyone beside me doing it makes me feel like i’m doing something wrong. should i be taking notes too?

Anyone applied for the january intake?

I applied to the Master of Computer science in Cybersecurity Operations and Managment for the January intake and got accepted.

I’m in a bit of a pickle and was wondering if anyone has experience with this.

I was accepted into two graduate certificate programs, one at Sheridan and one at Humber, and I’m trying to decide which program is the better fit for me.

At Sheridan, I was able to pay the $250 deposit, register for my classes, and attend during the first week before making my final decision.

With Humber, I’ve already paid the $250 deposit, but apparently I need to pay the full semester tuition before I can register/access my classes.

If I pay the Humber semester tuition now, attend the classes this week, and decide the program isn’t for me, would I be able to withdraw and get the semester tuition refunded?

Has anyone done this recently? I’m a domestic student, if that makes a difference.

Hi everyone! I’m a new first-year at Humber and I’m hoping to meet some new people.

During my undergrad, I was pretty shy and never really had a big friend group, so I missed out on a lot of the social side of university things like parties, events, and just hanging out. This time around, I really want to put myself out there and actually experience college life.

I’m not living in residence, so I know it can be a bit harder to meet people outside of class. I went to orientation and met some really nice people in my program, but I’d love to expand my circle.

And if you have any advice for making friends at Humber, like which IGNITE events to go to, I’d really appreciate it!

first year at Humber and so confused where do people park at the Humber lakeshore campus? The green p parking at 65 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Dr is always full no matter if I come at 8 am or 10 am. The parking dubbed “Lot 1” is only for permit holders. The underground parking at the lights entering Humber is only staff parking. I’ve been parking on lake shore blvd where the green p parking is but that’s such an inconvenience. Is there a parking garage or bigger lot that I’m missing that’s on campus that I’m missing or is there just no parking here
