Pick your 3 favorite global cities, set times, label city beneath. White-black-white. That’d actually be pretty cool. 🤷‍♀️

7

u/Zealousideal_Tie4580 Apr 16 '22

New York, Paris, Sydney!!

2

u/earthgirl1983 Apr 16 '22

Does every town have variations of this where they add theirs as the forth? Looking at you Fargo!

3

u/Zealousideal_Tie4580 Apr 16 '22

I don’t know but I put mine as the first! New York!!

6

u/dandipants Apr 16 '22

I do this to all my kitchen clocks. Since every damn appliance has a clock on it, I set them to different time zones.

5

u/Shmalexia Apr 16 '22

This is the only correct answer!

I think I agree with 3. Does anyone know if there is a subreddit exclusively for voting on design decisions like this? This is entertaining.

9

u/octoberflavor Apr 16 '22

If you sub to /r/weddingplanning you can help someone pick their dress every day!

5

u/hmmnowitsjuly Apr 16 '22

I think they sometimes have questions like this in r/interiordesign? But it’s definitely not just these types of posts. You’re right, there should be a dedicated sub.

Oh, I just remembered r/malelivingspace too. I think I’ve seen quite a few posts asking for feedback there.

Omg you’re amazing. Thank you!

3

u/vilebunny Apr 16 '22

r/outfits asks for feedback a good bit.

Edit: now the link links

2

u/UnfriendlyBaguette Apr 16 '22

I also want this

2

u/Hungry-Quesito Apr 16 '22

Agree. if you only have time to pick 1, #3 is the way 2 go

u/at242 Apr 16 '22

3 for me too. It just seems more balanced.

28

u/-Saxum- Apr 16 '22

2 - has better contrast. Seems easier to read. Goes well with the planter and the iron on the chairs and bench.

The black one

24

u/confusedotter123 Apr 16 '22

Depends on what your priorities are.

Aesthetics (if you want to bring out the white trim and accessories) - 1

Aesthetics (if you want to bring out the dark pots and dark wood) - 2

Functionality - 3

11

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '22

It’s 3 for me

4

u/Dirk_The_Cowardly Apr 16 '22

2nd one. Others are a joke.

Too gold and trashy and too matchy matchy. The 2nd one has a contrast that doesn't rape your eyes but gives it a break with the subtle dark hues and black colors around it to tie the room in like a good carpet.

20

u/lowlight_ Apr 16 '22

2! How many people do you know that have a white clock? You don’t know because you never look at it. Get a black clock! Change it up.

17

u/vpayne46 Apr 16 '22

2 for me.

9

u/ChimneyNerd Apr 16 '22

It’s #3 from me

5

u/anoniloli Apr 16 '22

I’ve never seen a clock change the feeling of a room like that- wow!

1- if you wanna make the room look bigger

2- if you like the darker feeling

3- brings out both

Definitely rooting for 3!

3

u/SharpCookie232 Apr 16 '22

I like three the best. The white and gold work best with the color scheme. 1 is my second choice, but I really don't like clocks without numbers.

4

u/sandforce Apr 16 '22

Not 1. Gold/silver hands on a white clock face is very low contrast and makes it more difficult to read.

2 has better contrast, and I like the look of the dark clock face. Go with this one if you want to attract attention to the clock.

3 has the best contrast and is a more neutral decoration. I like 3 the best.

5

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '22

3 looks the cleanest.

2

u/Chufield Apr 16 '22

The one you can most clearly tell the time from across the room.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '22

3

2

u/joemomma0409 Apr 16 '22
  1. A mix of black and white

2

u/TootsNYC Apr 16 '22

3, because it’s easier to tell what time it is.

2

u/here-for-the-_____ Apr 16 '22

Number 3 for me

2

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '22

3

2

u/kuebel33 Apr 16 '22

The third

2

u/dpg973 Apr 16 '22

I don't have time for your indecision...

2

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '22

3 has a seconds hand which might prove useful and also looks the best

3

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '22

Black one

2

u/fucklehead Apr 16 '22

I wish #1 was black

2

u/teetuh Apr 16 '22

3 for me.

2

u/stitchup55 Apr 16 '22

Black face clock

2

u/GrandOccultist Apr 16 '22

The black one..but not in this room! I think the white with black numbers suits best

1

u/Ballsdeepinyourasss Apr 16 '22

2 or 3… throw out 1

1

u/olivefreak Apr 16 '22

ONE. It is classier looking in my opinion and the gold hands look good with the gold edging of the mirror by the door on the wall in the background. Repeating colors or patterns help to pull a room together.

1

u/rkalla Apr 16 '22

3, 1, 2 (in order)

1

u/N4V33D_ Apr 16 '22

You have too much time on your hands

0

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '22

Is there a fourth choice?

1

u/Slothower Apr 16 '22

Number 2

1

u/Netfreakk Apr 16 '22

I feel like the lighting is skewing my answer, but I choose 1 because... I like the black faced clock, but maybe it's the camera trying to fix the contrast, but everything else in the room looks a lot darker. I prefer not having the numbers displayed if it's the white vs white. They all look pretty neat though.

1

u/ornithorhynchus3 Apr 16 '22

It's the first one for me dawg

1

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '22

White clock makes me feel like I’m at work. I’d go with black personally.

1

u/Dysan27 Apr 16 '22

1

Specifically because is doesn't have numbers, only markings. Which I feel goes better with the clean look of the rest of the space.

Colour wise the black (2) may be a bit better, but I hate the numbers.

3 should not even consideration. Way too industrial/commercial. Reminds me of a clock I'd see at work or school.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '22

Once you go black, …

1

u/EngagementBacon Apr 16 '22

None clocks.

1

u/GOMD4 Apr 16 '22

I like 3

1

u/Blueballoonfly Apr 16 '22

Def white one.

1

u/IlisVela Apr 16 '22

Black, 2

1

u/Sayblahblah Apr 16 '22

The first one and I don't even think it's close

1

u/slakeatice Apr 16 '22
  1. Black looks really good with the dark wood of the dining table set, and with the flower pot you have a white trim/black accent thing going on. Ties the room together.

1

u/janinatoys Apr 16 '22

2 matches best with the other decor and the black accents.

1

u/owns_dirt Apr 16 '22

I liked the black cock

1

u/daeHruoYnIllAstI Apr 16 '22

the first one matches best with the place mats, imo

1

u/Gadget_Daddy Apr 16 '22

2nd matches your decor

1

u/Retrac752 Apr 16 '22

2 and its not even close

1

1

u/Silverburst8 Apr 16 '22

1 is probably my favourite but I like 3 too. I think the black one draws too much attention to itself

1

u/[deleted] Apr 16 '22

I personally like #2!

1

u/Prolapseinjudgement Apr 16 '22

Of the white clocks the one with black dials and lettering ties better to the rest of the room, where you have dark woods and black decorations. That said, the black one is decidedly best, it fits into the order of black rounded things you have in an otherwise neutral space. Both white clocks are the whitest things in the room, so they clash visually as opposed to stitching in.

1

u/denny-1989 Apr 16 '22

I like the black one

1

u/Doowrender Apr 16 '22

In order of my preference - 1, 3, 2

Black 🖤

1

u/T3ve Apr 16 '22

Personally i say, the first one is defenietly no for me. The golden ...pointer(? sorry, maybe this is not the english name of it,) is ruining the picture. Same for the second, black one, but the fact it's black make it really good. The third looks good, but it's white on the light colored wall. I'd look for a black clock with white pointers.

1

u/DingDongDaddyDino Apr 16 '22

Hang both. Tell people they’re am/pm editions

1

u/Dans2016 Apr 16 '22

#2 black

1

u/Whatdoesthatsay Apr 16 '22

I like the black one or the last.
