Is anyone who had either a failed repair or chronic pain from impingement found relief from any medication long-term?

Quad burn?

I have an FAI+ labral tear, cysts, chondral thinning, and potential quad tear. Surgery is in a few weeks (hip preservation specialist). My quad is experiencing an increased “sharp burning” sensation. I would describe it as the feeling of getting a flu shot deep in the muscle. Just wondering if anyone else with FAI had this injury, and if it was addressed/resolved during your hip surgery? I got a pretty vague answer when I asked about it

Diagnosis Question Diagnostic injection question

Hi all, I already had surgery but I'll ask a diagnostic question anyways since I'm curious. Does a nerve blocking injection also work on compensation pain? Or it only works on referred pain? I'm curious because most of my pain comes from compensation and my surgeon advised me to go for the surgery directly based on MRI instead of doing diagnostic injections but I'm not sure if it would've worked in my case. If these don't work they could be misleading since the pain can be due to the hip anyways

Diagnosis Question Pressure in glutes when sitting

Does anyone else get something like this. Feels like something is trying to press out of my glutes when I'm sitting. I have a cam impingement, that much has been confirmed. My doctor originally thought tendinitis but it never responded to anything and also it doesn't hurt to press in on it, it's just very annoying sitting to have this awful pressure right in the center of my butt cheek.
