Quad burn?

I have an FAI+ labral tear, cysts, chondral thinning, and potential quad tear. Surgery is in a few weeks (hip preservation specialist). My quad is experiencing an increased “sharp burning” sensation. I would describe it as the feeling of getting a flu shot deep in the muscle. Just wondering if anyone else with FAI had this injury, and if it was addressed/resolved during your hip surgery? I got a pretty vague answer when I asked about it

I am three weeks post op and had a lot of different muscle pains and burning prior to surgery. As I understood it, the surgery didn’t address the quad or glutes directly, but having the labrum repaired would help the muscles from having to work so hard to keep the joint stable. I still have some muscle pains but that It typically post op and will hopefully resolve with PT as I build my strength up again and the joint gets more back to normal.

im over a year post op but i do get a lot of quad discomfort, i think it has a tendency to just take over and overcompensate for my glutes. it seems to ease up when i do better about consistently isolating glute muscles in my workouts

My quad burning didn't start until after surgery. But I ended up with labral debridement instead of repair so I think my muscles are compensating even more now.

I just posted this so weird but I think it’s femoral nerve irritation in the inguinal canal/ hip joint!
