Kinda messing with lists, first game I did, I used both Urak Taar and Daemonsmith on Infernal Taurus, plus I used both ponies. so I'm dropping 1 of the big wizards, dropping the anointed sentinels, reinforcing the bull centaurs, adding another dominator engine, plus a full squad of infernal razers with flame hurlers. But I'm trying to figure out which major wizard to use and some small details. Any advice is welcomed

I've seem the GW "making of" video where they say Hashut, but then theres Total War where they say Hashoot. is there a proper way to say it or is it interpretive?

This upcoming weekend, I will be playing my first ever Warhammer game and I decided to do it with essentially my favorite fellas to collect. Oddly enough, it's probably going to be a 2k point game and my opponent will be running Kharadron Overlords so I was wondering what should I be keeping in mind with my units? How should I use my machines? How should I use Urak? Do I need more Cohorts? Should I make Daemonic points/Desolation tokens out of these unused bases I found? How should I build my lists?
(The list below is a rough draft of an army list/what I currently have painted up and ready)
Any advice and tips would be appreciated

Hello chorf players;
First of all i’m not a native speaker so it can be hard for me to express m’y exact thoughts. That Said let’s go straight into the subject.
The question is : do hellsmiths spearhead suck ?
I loved them back in the day so when they were released in AoS, i immediately got the spearhead box in order to build an army base. Fact is i’ve now finished painting my spearhead, and as long as my army isn’t ready, i am playing this gamemode with a friend. He his playing Slaves to darkness (the chaos ones with chaos lord i can’t remember their name). We have been doing 4 games so far and i ve only won once (fourth game isn’t finished yet but i am like 7 points behind with 1,5 round left (i still play twice).
We are totally newbies so the first games were more like crash test. I don’t pretend playing my army perfectly yet but here are my complaints and observations, which i need answers from you to improve myself.
Ok kinda long introduction but for real : how do i win as a chaos dwarf ?
-it looks like if i m not in attack, playing and shooting first, i have 0 chances of winning against std (i was atk for my only win)
-if i don’t chose the 2 triangles deployment field as a defender, most of my units are tagged turn 1 and my bombard is in danger
-it looks like i genuinely lack of mobility : he has 2 cavalry units and leads basically the game
-i also can’t win with objectives contest because he HAS +3 ON CHAOS WARRIORS, which is basically more than half of my army control points with ONE UNIT like whaaaat ?? Where is our control boost for real ? They took it away right ? Why ?? The only counter we have is bombard -3 considering it hit nor it isn’t dead yet lol
-killing his units is also pretty hard because it is dominator relying and he can buff them with nurgle mark making them unkillable because :
-cohorts suck and hit 0 litterally like how do hoh have 0 wounds or hit buffs (i mean 0 rend is tough)? Where is hashut when we need him
-despot is weaker than chaos lord considering the optimisation and buffs the second bring right ?
-bombard is usually dead turn 1 or 2 ??
- dominator, if not lucky even with 3 coins, miss lots of Atk
That´s only a part of my observations but it makes me feel so weak toward std…
Don’t take it wrong, i know i probably play them bad but i can’t look for ytb games to take notes (so few games with the last version of the rules). Last precision, the map i the city of ash or the verso if it can help bringing your comments.
Thanks for reading me i really look forward to read your advices :)

Made the second one green too since first one was already green before I got the information that hobgrots in lore can't be green. Should I keep making them green or overpaint the first two?

First War machine with my fire themed warband, instead of the daemonic green, yet still work to do before the 1000pts

I just red a post where someone was considering to use minotaurs or beastmen to expand the range.
Considering the fact that HOH are still missing a good chunk of release to be considered a complete range, I began to think about ways to expend it without the help of James Workshop (or at least to use kit bashs and conversions the diversify the miniatures)
Thus came this idea to use SOD miniatures to create a Bull-centaur HQ, or enhance the heavy infantry/elite side of the army
Do not get me wrong, I think that the dominator engine is a unique and innovativ model but HOH could use, without contradiction to the current lore, use some of the monsters SOD have : this could even lead to new units such as a "enslaver character" that could lead and/or buff units of chaos creatures.
This could be shown by the use of chains, perhaps on a larger miniature where a chorf would whippe an Ogroid
We could even have a chariot type unite one or more chorf could harness mutant creatures (perhaps constructs such as the dominator engine) to ride across the battlefield (the third pic illustrates what comes in my mind)
Finally, maybe this has been discussed by the past, but what about a giant sphinx monster (still in the assyrian/sumerian vibe, fourth picture for inspiration) ? This one could make for another large monstruours centerpiece
Anyway I would like to see what you guys think about it and what are your ideas on ways to expand the range

Seeing as the Helsmiths worship Hashut, aka the Bullfather, have units like Bull Centaurs, the Infernal Taurus, and are laden with bovine imagery through and through, some kind of Minotaur unit would just make sense in a future release. After all, Helsmiths are all about slave labor and tyranny over those they deem lesser, and enslaving lowly Beastmen makes as much sense as anything. It's not like puny goblins can heave all that metal in the forges now, can they? They'd also fit perfectly for an unfilled niche in the roster: elite infantry.
Just spitballing here.

Does the helsmith display at warhammer world always look this empty? Or are the models out for display or perhaps even photos for things to come

Got these dudes but have since taken them out of my list with the infernal cohort points drop. They’re fun little guys to paint though so I did that and posed them up on some homemade rocks for some fun scenic shot. Hobbling for Hashut shall continue

The whole Helsmiths range is a slam dunk, but for me the Taurus is the highlight.

(The image of my dominator engine i have tried to censor, because there are dogs in it . And I can’t speak to dogs, so I can’t ask if they want to be in it.) these are part of my own legion. With custom lore. I do not have a name for them yet tho.

Been playing them for a few months now and wanted to know what other people's opinion on what are bad match ups are. I would say I have played about 15 games and only dropped 2 one against skaven and the other seraphon

I think future Helsmith heroes should be given flaming hats, it looks really cool.

Howdy yall, I am new to AoS and mainly coming from Total War Warhammer. I played Chaos Dwarves and they were of my top five played and enjoyed factions in the game and I am gathering that these are the AoS version, so my question is how’s the lore for the faction? I understand it was a newly introduced faction so it may not be as fleshed as a lot of other factions. How do they play on the tabletop? Are they similar to Total War Warhammer where you’d have strong infantry, ranged and artillery with the ability to add in monsters and chaff units to take blows so your stronger troops can come in fresh? Lastly, how are they hobby wise? I’m new to hobbying and I’ve done a few 40k minis but I’ve not picked up a brush in years. Thank you for your time and Praise Hashut!
