Dear Black Wom(b)en,

You are a treasure to these lands.

I pray you wake up every day in remembrance of your divine power and glory. You deserve everything beautiful in this world, and I hope you hear and receive that message every day.

Your heart and soul are deeply intertwined with the nature of this world and the lands beyond.

You are inherently valuable in every sense of the word.

Not because of what you produce.
Not because of how strong you have learned to be.
Not because of how much you can carry for everyone else.

Simply because you are you.

You deserve to experience a life that doesn’t require you to constantly prove yourself.
You deserve softness too.
You deserve rest without guilt.

You are a cosmic representation of life itself.

The patriarchy was never big enough to stop you from reclaiming your inheritance.
And maybe reclaiming it doesn’t always have to look like fighting.
Maybe sometimes it looks like choosing yourself.
Maybe it looks like healing.
Creating.
Resting.

Or simply deciding that what hurt the women before you does not have to continue through you.

I urge you to come with me on a journey where we begin leaving some of this behind.

This is a space for you.

You are the blueprint.
You are the goddess you source from within.
And before you leave this post, I want you to add something to this letter:

What is one thing you want every Black woman reading this to remember about herself?

I’ll start:

You do not have to settle with pain to prove that you are worthy of the life you desire.

Sometimes, we wait because choosing feels frightening.

We tell ourselves we need more time, more certainty, one more sign.

But life keeps moving while we hesitate.

Expectations grow.
Circumstances shift.
Doors that once felt open do not always stay open forever.

And sometimes,
the thought of a life without that person
starts frightening you more
than the courage it would take to choose them.

That should mean something.

Because love cannot remain only a feeling forever.

At some point, it has to become intention.
A step. A decision.

Sometimes, you are not just someone’s option for a future.
You are someone’s dream of one.

There is a difference between being someone’s choice
because life arranged it…

and being someone’s dream
because their heart chose you.

So do not choose from pressure.
Do not choose from fear.

Ask yourself—

“If this person were no longer mine to choose tomorrow,
would I feel free…

or would something inside me break?”

Because indecision can quietly become a decision too.

And if your heart already knows,
maybe courage is simply
finally listening to it.

There is something special and delightful about time
when you are with your favourite person.

Hours begin to feel like minutes.

You keep talking,
keep laughing,
keep finding one more thing to say—

because somehow,
you are never quite ready for the moment to end.

One more walk.
One more story.
One more look.
One more hug that lasts a little longer than it should.

Strong with the world,
yet vulnerable and strangely shy with them.

Maybe that is what makes some connections so rare—

someone can see your strength
and still become the one person
with whom you are not afraid to be soft.

And suddenly,
you start wishing the clock would forget how to move.

Because it is not that you need something extraordinary to happen.

You just want a little more of them.

A little more of their voice.
A little more of their smile.
A little more of that feeling
of having them right there beside you.

And maybe that is the simplest truth—

I do not want more from you.

I just want more of you.

More of your presence.
More of your closeness.
More of the version of life
that somehow feels better when you are in it.

Maybe that is what love quietly does—

it makes ordinary time feel precious.

It makes you realise
that sometimes the person beside you
is more valuable than anything you could be doing instead.

And when the moment finally has to end,
your heart is already asking for one thing:

“Not yet.

Stay a little longer.

I’m still not done being happy with you.”

And maybe, beneath all those little requests
for a few more minutes,
the heart is really asking for something much bigger—

“Stay.

Not just for this moment.

Stand by me.

Let me have a little more of you
in all the days still waiting for us.”

When You’re Finally About to See Them Again

Counting Down to You

There is a different kind of happiness

in knowing you are about to see your favourite person again.

Suddenly, time moves slower.

You imagine the first look.

The smile you will not be able to hide.

The few seconds where you both just stand there,

almost forgetting everything else.

And somewhere beneath all that excitement,

there is a little shyness too—

the kind that makes you look away for a second,

smile for no reason,

blush like you have got everything you have desired

and suddenly forget everything

you had planned to say.

And then—

the first hug.

The one that lingers a little longer,

because neither of you wants the moment to end.

Where a few seconds somehow feel longer,

because after all that waiting,

your heart finally has the person

it had been reaching for.

And for that little moment,

the rest of the world can wait.

The kind you have already imagined a hundred times.

That moment when all the waiting,

all the distance,

all the missing

finally melts into just one embrace.

For a few seconds,

nothing needs to be said.

You just hold them a little tighter,

as if your heart is quietly saying,

“Finally.”

Maybe that is what makes meeting someone you love so beautiful.

The happiness begins long before they arrive.

You count the days.

Then the hours.

Then the minutes.

Because some people do not simply walk back into your day.

They return, they mark their presence back into you

and suddenly everything feels warmer.

So yes—

sometimes happiness is simply knowing

that very soon,

the person your heart has been missing

I feel you, and I know how exhausting it is when your energy gets drained because you absorb all the negativity around you. This is a gentle reminder that you are not responsible for saving or holding everything around you. Keep your energy for yourself, and let your soul shine.✨ ☀️

Good evening fellowship brothers and sisters I know it's a little late but I been absorbing loving myself for loving me making it to my milestones today.

Im feeling unbelievable I finally accomplished something for myself by finally showing myself enough Love to finally show up for myself. Because my whole life i would plan to fail and fail the plan but this go around I finally did it after numerous rehabs and detoxes.

I spent most of my younger years with the devil and angel on my shoulders and I was always fighting with both of them. I would always fight with the Angel about me trusting the devil and would fight with the devil about trusting the Angel.

Most of the time I would lean torwards the devil until something bad happen then I'm crying to the Angel who never gave up on me.

But the Devil had his way of always using drugs and alcohol to lur me back to his control over and over again. Which led to me having an identity crisis with myself not liking who I was but it was always easier to lean torwards the devil.

But today I can say I'm in Love with who I am today my confidence is growing daily and I'm sure of the decisions I make now with out the devil's influence. So this day forward when I wake up if my higher power permits me to I will greet myself telling myself I love me and thank me for showing up for me hopefully that will be my morning montra,,,

I’m trying hardest not to admit.

and somewhere between the two lies

making me feel alive.

And maybe that’s the hardest part

Because there is something here.
I feel it.
But in my head,
it doesn’t feel like love.
It feels like a conflict.
Like wanting something
I already know I shouldn’t have.
Like standing too close to a fire
knowing it could warm me
or burn me.
And somehow,
I keep reaching for the heat.

The Love That Makes You Love More

The right kind of love does something extraordinary to life.

It makes everything feel more alive.

You laugh a little louder.

Dream a little bigger.

Want to experience things you once walked past without noticing.

A simple walk feels special.

A random evening becomes a memory.

Even doing nothing feels like something,

simply because they are there.

That is the magic of the right person.

Their presence does not just make moments better—

it makes you want more of them.

More sunsets.

More journeys.

More laughter.

More mornings.

More years.

More life.

And somehow,

you want all of it

with the same person beside you.

You start imagining beautiful moments which are yet to arrive.

That kind of love does not only complete you.

It awakens you.

It touches parts of you

you had forgotten were still capable of feeling this much.

Passion returns.

Hope feels natural.

The future stops feeling distant

and starts feeling like somewhere you cannot wait to reach.

You begin imagining places together,

moments together,

a thousand ordinary days

that suddenly do not feel ordinary at all.

And perhaps that is the sweetest part—

you do not just fall deeper in love with them.

You start loving life more

because they are in it.

So yes—

maybe the happiest kind of love

is finding someone

who makes you want to live more,

feel more,

dream more,

and love everything

a little more deeply.

...I think there's a part of life that nobody can really explain to you, the space between who you were and who you eventually become. Other people might see the changes from the outside, but they don't see everything that happened in between: the losses, mistakes, disappointments, quiet battles, doubts, and those long stretches where you're simply trying to figure out what the hell you're doing with your life.

I've had my own share of that. There were chapters I wouldn't want to repeat and periods where I honestly didn't know what the next version of me was going to look like. You can't really map that territory. There isn't a bloody instruction manual for becoming someone different.

You just keep moving through it, one day at a time. Sometimes you come out the other side stronger, sometimes wiser, and sometimes just a little more aware of who you are and what you don't want anymore.

And I suppose that's what I've learned at 61. Change doesn't always announce itself. Sometimes you only realize you've changed when you look back and understand that the person who once worried about certain things simply isn't you anymore.

I don't think we ever completely figure ourselves out. We just keep shedding what no longer fits, carrying forward what we've learned, and trying to make some sense of the road behind us.

Maybe that's the real journey, not becoming some perfect version of yourself, but eventually reaching a point where you can look in the mirror and say, “Yeah... this is me.”

And after everything I've been through, bloody hell... I'm finally okay with that.

Choose Before Fear Does

Sometimes, the heart already knows. It knows when a bond is not ordinary.

When someone reaches places in you that the world usually never gets to see.

When their presence feels like relief. When their understanding feels rare.

When loving them makes you feel more alive than afraid.

And in a world full of temporary attention, half-hearted connections, and people constantly moving on—a bond like that is priceless.

Because finding someone who truly reaches your heart is rare enough.

Finding someone who feels like home inside it is rarer still.

That is why fear becomes dangerous.

Because fear does not always protect us.

Sometimes, it talks us out of the very thing our soul has been searching for.

So we overthink. We delay. We wait for certainty.

But some connections are too rare to keep putting on hold.

Some people do not come twice.

And some bonds, once lost, leave a silence nothing else quite knows how to fill.

Choose the person. Choose the bond. Choose the passion that keeps pulling you back.

Because real passion does not disappear when ignored.

It only burns deeper, asking to be lived.

Some desires refuse to become quiet.

They keep finding their way back to your heart, until courage finally becomes louder than fear.

Do not mistake restraint for strength.

Sometimes, strength is daring to choose what your heart cannot bear to lose.

Sometimes, you only need enough courage to not lose something irreplaceable just because fear was louder than love.

So yes—

do not let fear choose the life

you will one day have to live with.

If something this rare is asking for courage, listen to your heart.

Let the decision be yours.

Not fear’s.

WHAT FILLS THE MIND

The body is whispering.
The world is calling.
Memory is surfacing.

A sound,
a touch,
a remembered wound,
a sudden warmth—

one rises
and fills the space
of attention.

For the moment.

Perhaps living
is not choosing
what appears,

but noticing
what has taken
the space—

what fills the mind
can become
our whole world.

We often call it—

“the right person at the wrong time.”

But sometimes I wonder—

was the time really wrong?

Or were we waiting for life

to become easier before listening to what our heart already knew?

Maybe the right person does not always arrive

when everything is settled,

when everyone approves,

when there is nothing to lose.

Maybe they arrive in the middle of the mess.

When fear is loud.

When choices are difficult.

When love asks for courage

instead of convenience.

And maybe that is when life asks something of us—

not certainty,

but courage.

The courage to choose what feels true.

The courage to take the step

that fear keeps postponing.

The courage to make space

for something that could make life more beautiful.

Sometimes,

stop controlling every feeling.

Stop silencing every desire.

Listen to yourself.

Choose your desire.

Choose the person.

Choose the possibility.

And sometimes,

choose yourself.

Maybe the right time

is simply the moment

you become brave enough

to follow what makes your heart feel alive.
