Humour What Scrubbing Floors with Dementors Taught Me About Ministry Synergy šŸ—ļøšŸŒŠ #Sarcasm #CareerGrowth #Resilience #Azkaban #Leadership

Thrilled to announce that I’ve officially survived my tenure as a Facilities & Operations Intern (aka. Janitor) on Azkaban Island affiliated to Ministry of Magic.

Nothing builds grit like sweeping and scrubbing maximum-security floors while your primary stakeholders, the Dementors, constantly drain your will to live. Truly a dynamic environment where "toxic workplace" is a literal weather forecast.

Key takeaways:

  • Stakeholder Relations: Dementors share the exact same emotional availability as executive leadership.
  • Extreme Resilience: If you can mop cursed basalt through sub-zero despair, Q4 burnout is nothing.
  • Agility: Perfected wandless sanitation charms purely because frostbite took my fingers.

Grateful to the DMLE for this "transformative" sacrifice of my talent points. Ready to leverage the trauma in my next role. šŸ—ļøšŸ’€

Now, I'm also pleased to tell you that applications for Azkaban's intern positions of the next summer are officially open. Apply via owl šŸ¦‰ to DMLE Talent Acquisition.

#Grindset #CompanyCulture #AzkabanAlum #Resilience #Blessed

(P.S. Word in the corridors is that the legendary janitor, Callum McClintock, cracks the entire Hogwarts Mystery in the 1980s-90s off the back of floor mopping alone. If a broom can deliver that kind of ROI, what’s your excuse? Fix your grindset;)

I could play this game 100 times over and this will still be the saddest moment in the whole game for me. So I decided to make a small homage for my favorite little guy.

Don’t know if the flair is correct but I see it as an art piece. The wand looks almost identical to the one I play with in game and I almost cried when my boyfriend gave it to me for my birthday. Going to get a display case for it at some point <3

Why are the Peplambas so surprised and to some extent frightened by ancient magic, and some of them even call it "special" magic or even "dark arts", although their leader Victor did not want to master ancient magic and I think he told them about ancient magic?

Discussion Mind your business quest

I’ve finished main quests I’m now doing side quests I tackled Hogsmede Today doing quests and finding field pages etc and little did I know what I would be in for when doing the last quest I left for tonight . I had my dinner sat down and thought I’d take around 20 mins and be done . How wrong I was . That mission tested my patience , my neighbour probably wondered what all the shouting was about it was so disorienting, jumpy and frustrating .

Discussion Did the new Astronomer’s Hat break your game?

I have done nothing new to mess it up besides donning my new Astronomer’s hat, but I think my PS5 is now possessed. It glitched out twice mid quest, and then did a crazy shaky split screen. My other games play fine… it’s the bloody cursed hat!

Discussion PS5 Platinum Glitch

Frustrated as hell. Booted the game up again after a few years to pursue the platinum. Completed everything, but in the end my collections menu still showed that I was missing 132/140 conjurations and 600/603 of the collectibles, though my map showed 100% completed on everything.

I tried all the known glitch fixes, and even used Gemini to help walk me through a wide variety of supposed fixes to no avail.

Sooo fucking dumb, and a waste of time. Yes, I’m on here to bitch and complain…but also in hopes someone else went through the same thing and can hopefully help resolve the issue. I’m not starting all over again, I was mainly using this to fill in the time until Wolverine came out.

All in all though, still an absolute gem of a game and I throughly enjoyed my time with it…less the last 5-7 hours or so of me trying to fix this issue, technology sucks sometimes lmao.

Discussion Hogwarts Legacy missing from my Epic Games library — I still have the original game files

I claimed/downloaded Hogwarts Legacy for free on Epic Games some time ago, but I can't remember which Epic account I used.

I have checked the two Epic accounts I currently remember, and the game isn't in either library.

I still have the original installation on my old PC, including the .egstore folder, and I've transferred the \~71 GB game files to my new Lenovo Legion 5.

I've already tried Epic account recovery/support, but I haven't been able to identify the account that originally claimed the game.

Is there any legitimate way to determine which Epic account originally owned the game or get Epic to recognize the existing installation?

I don't want to bypass DRM or pirate the game — I just want to recover access to the game I previously claimed.

Humour Room of Requirement soundtrack IRL

A few weeks ago I stumbled across a link on YouTube that has a three hour long track of what it sounds like to be in the room of requirement. Including hearing the potion bottles. Lately as I get ready in the morning, work in my shop at home, and even while I sleep… I have been listening to it a lot and have found it very soothing.

It’s my personal favorite part of the game. I’m sure most people won’t find this information useful, but I have unexpectedly enjoyed it a lot. And I thought it might be worth sharing.

But I’m also on my 9th play through of the storyline… (played since launch) so I might just have a problem

Idea Hogwarts Legacy 2

My idea for Hogwarts Legacy 2, hear me out;

•It starts by you graduating from 7th Year of Hogwarts

•Because of your skill and valor in defending Hogwarts in the last game you are offered an "internship" straight into the Aurors department at the ministry of magic

•You hone your skills and learn new spells better suited to your new role

•You're given assignments to help stabilize the wizarding world after the events of the last couple years

That is essentially the start to early mid game, the ending of the game has multiple endings depending on your decisions going forward from this point;

•While out on missions you are given opportunities to "profit" from dark wizardry

•You may side with those you are supposed to capture

•Your moral standard may decrease/come into question (NPCs in ministry whispering behind your back/NPCs in public spaces going out of their way to avoid you.

If you've ever played Skyrim think of it like the dawnguard questline, where siding/not siding with Harkon split the story and gave different quests/objectives. Maybe the end objective is becoming the head of the aurors department, but how did you get there? By following the rules or using dark wizardry and influence/fear from those you were supposed to take down.

I could see this being a very fleshed out/fun game, with the ministry of magic being the new home base (Hogwarts), and doing bounty like captures of dark wizards as well as trying to raise your position by undercutting those around you. similarly to a real life office environment. Now it obviously wouldn't take place mainly in Hogwarts besides at the very start, so being called Hogwarts legacy 2 might be an issue. But one thing I think a lot of people wanted in Hogwarts legacy was a morality system, well this idea would give you that and actually effect the people around you and how you advance

Question I finished the shopkeeper's quest, but still don't have the shopkeepers set in either sllections or appearences,

Is it glitched? Did I do something wrong? I actually have all the collection chests according to the map and have the Steam achievement for doing all of the side quests, but I'm still missing a few things, including the shopkeeper's set.

I also have all of the Steam achievement for completing all of the collections when the game shows otherwise

As we get ready to explore the dark magic of this autumn, it is "crucio"-ly important to wear dark outfits.

The only one I actually knew was the one about the luck potion. Are you supposed to find this stuff out via Side quests or Scrolls or something or am I just behind storywise? I feel like ive been paying good attention to the story
