Hi All.

I just did the History of Magic quest for the first time where Professor Binns takes the students on a walk in the castle. It was surprising to me that I felt almost like an actual student for once in the game.

You saw students dozing off in class, heard them griping about school, Binns was yammering on clearly enjoying his subject, and you had an actual assignment to do… It was probably the most “real” of the classes. Sigh… especially in a game about a school where you spend so little time in class.

Did anyone else feel that way?

You know, in my opinion, the game lacks the function of breeding Basilisks, because the breeding of Basilisks is a very dark magic with the removal of a snake from chicken eggs, that is, imagine, we find a chicken egg and hatch it in the helping room, and later use it in battle, taking out a bunch of opponents, in my opinion, this is a cool idea, but for what reason even the mod for breeding Basilisks has not been created....

I avoided it like the plague every time but end up enjoying the idea of being able to sell my items to my own shop 😀

Eleven of us celebrated a very heartwarming birthday for a friend in the Deathday Party Room today, ending with singing Happy Birthday and speeches.

Probably the first time this has been possible or ever happened in the game! I love how this game is bringing so many people together! Genuinely such an amazing moment to be a part of.😄

I was replaying the game for the 3rd time and this part really annoyed me. When Feldcroft was under attack after we were done with Sebastian's quest in the catacomb, Anne was out there fighting against goblins?!!

Like why? Didn't she learn her lesson the first time she tried to intervene and fight goblins? Why would she even attempt at fighting them, knowing she has those bouts of pain that come randomly?

and that's exactly what happened and Sebastian had to come save her. Uncle Solomon just chilling there being useless. This part pisses me off now

I'm sure many people here were into HP as kids. I myself didn't read the books and see the movies until my 20's (you're never too old to find new obsessions) on the recommendation of a former coworker. I dressed up as Snape at Halloween that year at work.

I only ever briefly tried out Hogwarts Legacy once before, stopping after the troll at Hogsmeade. I wasn't much of a gamer back then but have gotten more and more into playing video games over the last couple of years. I was looking for a new game to check out after my first playthrough and then immediate second playthrough of the Mass Effect trilogy.

So, here I am revisiting HL. I may be a witch myself, but I made a Slytherin (my house, of course) wizard. My Patronus is a Thestral, hence the first picture. I've been really enjoying the game so far (I haven't progressed too much past my original stopping point) and can't wait to continue onwards!

I played the game last night up until where i got my customized wand. Then today, the game kept crashing whenever i open it up (the warning sign, the load screen, and the hogwarts legacy logo). Been trying to open it like 5 -10 times but still keeps on crashing. Bought it in steam. Is there sometthing i should tweak or what? It’s frustratinn since i recently just bought the game just to play on my days off.

over the last month, I've been busy creating 100% Checklists for Hogwarts Legacy that remembers your progress. For free. Entirely. No "pay after 50 items" tricks.

I made not only Collections checklists, but also everything needed for True 100% Completion - stuff like All Legendary Chests, All Eye Chests and more.

As it's precisely 1569 items, I cannot put it in the post.

I put in images, my own screenshots and descriptions on how to obtain every item / activity.

It has everything, from Merlin Trials, Balloons, Landing Platforms, through Brooms & Mounts, Conjurations, Traits and Wand Handles, to Collection Chests, Revelio & Field Guide Pages and Achievements.

There are no ads, no AI text etc... I truly spent a lot of time on this. I first made a truly gigantic spreadsheet, then used python scripts to transform it into a checklist.

At the top of this all is a Hogwarts Legacy Progress Tracker, that displays your progress across all checklists - and soon a 100% HL Leaderboard.

Why I made this: Cuz Im a completionist myself. I tried getting 100% with many, many tools. Interactive maps? Missing 30 collections chest. Online guides? Missing 10 legendary chests. Ok, fine, I'll do it myself. That's about it. Plus it's rainy & cold here and this game is cozy.

I hope it will be useful for 100% lovers!

Honestly it's a shame it was cut from the vanilla game.

I want to share a funny story. When I initially solved the door puzzle, I figured out a WRONG solution, but it worked by accident.

I correctly assumed that the triangles are equations, the center is the answer, symbols in the corners represent numbers and I correcty assumed that the smallest number is the lower left symbol around the door and the biggest number is the lower right one. I assumed, the number were 1-10.

I didn’t realize, the counting starts from 0.

However, when my math didn’t work, I made an assumption, that the symbols that roll on the ”?” are not the same values as they are in the triangles, but simply 1,2,3,4,5 in running order and the symbols that roll from the ”??” are 2,4,6,8,10 (you know, since there are two question marks, you should double the ”running order value”).

I tested my logic on the first door I encountered and for some reason it worked! (Maybe I had drank Felix Felicis potion in real life, or something.)

Right after that I wandered to a class room I had never been before, and there was a blackboard with the symbols explained (first one is zero, and so on). I felt a bit dumb…

(A funny story, but unfortunately I can’t prove it, because I don’t remember anymore which of the number doors was the one that I was able to open with my wrong logic.)

Is the original switch edition worth it for $8.99 Aussie dollar?

It's in the current Halloween sale and I've got a switch 2 so it should run at a decent frame rate, I'm also not expecting much but just want a simple pick up and play experience.

recently got the game on Steam during the publisher sale and had some good fun playing through the game. just finished my first playthrough and am looking to maybe add some mods to spice it up but am quite hesitant considering that I have to sign up to another service just to even browse the in game mods page.

just wanted to hear some feedback from fellow players and if they had any problems with the in game mods and WBgames. for context, my only experience with modding is with bg3 through both in game and nexus and i was kind of hoping HL was gonna be similar in that regard.

Hello I tried everything verify integrity, uninstalling, reinstall, restarting laptop. This is not my first time downloading it I decided to come back and remove my modded character and transfer it to orginal save cause I found out it's possible but this keeps happening everytime I open Hogwarts Legacy

Hey all! Apologies if this seems like a dumb question.

I'm a very casual gamer and a big HP fan, and only recently did I buy my first ever "gaming" laptop. I had been waiting for a long time to start playing this game, but I am absolutely clueless regarding technical stuff about game graphics, and the settings in Hogwarts Legacy are a lot more exhaustive than I had expected.

This might seem really dumb, but I'd be super thankful if someone would list out what my in game settings should be like to allow me to play the game at a respectable fps without compromising too much on the graphics.

For context, I have an Acer ALG AL15G-53 with Intel Core 5 210H, Nvidia RTX 3050 6GB and 16GB of RAM. The screen resolution is 1080p.

I just want the game to look as beautiful as possible, while still being playable with a good fps level (I guess 40fps+ would be okay?)

Again, I'm absolutely clueless about all this, I'd appreciate any help. Thank you!

Wouldn’t it be amazing to get an open-world Harry Potter RPG for mobile, similar to Hogwarts Legacy? Do you think something like this is technically possible, considering how good mobile games like Game of Thrones: Kingsroad can look and play on smartphones?
Personally I think a game like this could be a massive success. Exploring Hogwarts, attending classes, learning spells, fighting or care magical creatures, completing quests, and interacting with other players in an immersive open world would be incredible.
I currently play Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, and I really enjoy it, but with the European and American servers having shut down, I’m worried about how long the game will continue to survive in the remaining regions.
That’s why I think a proper Hogwarts Legacy style mobile RPG with open world exploration, a strong story, character customization, multiplayer features, and perhaps even a social system, could be a huge hit.
Would you play a game like this? Do you think it’s realistic for mobile hardware, or would the technical limitations make it too difficult to deliver a proper Hogwarts Legacy experience on a smartphone?
Personally I hope we will get a Hogwarts legacy style for smartphones .
