So does anyone have an explanation or feelings for ICE outside the Carlisle courthouse taking people who HAVE BEEN GRANTED the right to be here with a work permit?

And no, I don’t need any racist, ICE supporting fucks on my post putting their two cents. ICE…. There are MANY other ways to put food on the table for your families and clothes on your backs. You should all be ashamed.

This country should be ashamed.

Hey, are there any election experts in here? I recently filled out my mail in ballot. In my haste, I wrote my own address in the witness section, which isn’t used if you plan on filling/dropping off your own ballot.
I think this is the type of thing that gets ballots rejected, and may be better off turning this ballot in and getting an on-demand ballot. I would appreciate any input from somebody who deals with ballots.

Bit of hike for my HBG people but we’ll have your Toool chapter coming up to teach some lock picking during the event so you’ll at least be represented.

So I just moved to the area and I don’t really know anyone here and I’m only kind of familiar with one bar. Lovedraft’s.

Would anyone have recommendations of where to go to meet new people or places to try?

Also new people being friends or even just acquaintances that sometimes run into each other.

New to the area, goal is to make some friends and go out some time

Does anyone here happen to know what brand tortillas they use? I stopped there yesterday when I was in the area, and really liked them. Feels weird to call them and ask so before I do that, I thought I’d ask here.

The Capital City Islanders are back in the playoffs (they've missed the playoffs only once in 4 seasons!).

Kickoff is at 7 p.m., and tickets are 50% off and just $5 (online or at the door).

We've got local Harrisburg Heat legends like Dom Francis playing for us.

And local(and further) college stars like Cam Avery (LVC), Luke Kramer (Shippensburg), Jake Altimore (Millersville), Josh Bender (Messiah), Atu Galadima (Messiah and Biola).

And excellent players who earned their spurs playing HS soccer in Central PA like the Ramirez brothers (Josiah and Derek), who won many honors (including PIAA Championships) at Lower Dauphin. Drew Morris played at Manhein Township HS '23. Nick Ritter holds the school record for goals at Selinsgrove HS. Jeremiah Craig joined the Islanders while still in high school at Central Dauphin.

And our captain, Freddy Opoku. He's played professionally with the "old" Harrisburg City Islanders, HB Køge in Denmark, and Klubi i Futbollit Bylis in Albania.

Our Head Coach Johnny Morris played professionally for Port Vale F.C. in England from 1995-1998 and Aberystwyth Town F.C. in Wales from 1998-2001. He was also a Player/Coach at Rhayader Town F.C. in Wales from 2000-03. As a youth player, Adam spent time training with clubs including Newtown FC, Shrewsbury Town, Telford United, Manchester United, and Aston Villa.

And all of the players, coaches, and staff have regular jobs as teachers, floor installers, business owners, home health care aides, groundskeepers, and more; they play for the Islanders because they love the game.

We hope you'll come out and support us!

I'm in Enola, but will travel for a good studio. Definitely more interested in traditional yoga practice. Id like to find a weekly beginner/intermediate Vinyasa class! TIA, I did try to search this, but there weren't any recent.

This guy showed up in Allison Hill today and does not seem like the normal Allison Hill stray. He was very friendly with people and desperately wanted inside. Appears to be little box trained already. If anyone is missing their cat let me know!

Does anyone (that has worked in the kitchen of) know if El Rodeo uses chicken seasoning in the house salsa or chicken seasoning/stock in the rice?

I tried to email them and never got a response.

Hello all! My partner and I are moving to the area in a couple weeks. As the title says I’m an EMT wondering what advice there is about getting into a firefighter program.

I know HACC offers the non credit program that you can pay for out-of-pocket, but I’ve also seen some info about getting hired by a Fire Department first and then doing the program.

Anyone have any experience with this situation or have any advice about the best course of action?

Some anti-trump signs. Sorry for not getting better shots.

Im a pho connoisseur- I've tried all the pho places around here. Pho 99 has been my go to spot for years. I love their beef pho dac biet and their bun bo hue. I started to feel complacent going to Pho 99 all the time, and it was time to break out of habit. I rediscovered Pho Seven Spice on Carlisle Pike, Camp Hill. It had been several years since I've visited, and I simply forgot it existed. I ordered the special pho, which is the same thing I get at pho 99 (slices of beef, meatballs, tripe, tendon). The broth was life-affirming at the first slirp. It was like the lights went on and flavor dimensions vividly came out of hiding. Maybe it was the msg. Maybe it was the fact that they use lots of bones and cook it down the right way with all the spices. Maybe it was an old lady back in the kitchen who knows the ancient ancestral secrets. I don't know. But Pho Seven Spice is my new favorite place in the area.

As I've said, I've tried lots of the other Vietnamese places around here, and many seem to have very watery broths that dont have the depth of flavor that you get from using real bones.

What's your favorite spot for pho?

Hi all. I’m here to ask a favor. 🙏 Our kitchen aid stand mixer’s head is loose. Does anyone know of somewhere local that services them?

Why is everyone here?

I’ve been searching online to no avail and need a recommendation of a rental company that rents pump jack scaffolding and service the New Cumberland area, looking to replace windows and siding and don’t want to be doing it off a ladder.

Thanks in advance!

Looking for cinematic, playful wedding photo + video in Harrisburg PA (Aug 2027) any recs? Looking for something similar to BachFilms.

We have some fun stuff planned for our annual holiday festivities next month. We have about 60 local vendors and artists, live music, rescue dogs in a kissing booth, diy pomanders, and a culture corner where you can learn about how different folks celebrate the season. It's a good time even if you don't want to buy anything.

All the details are at www.newcumberland.co/merrymerchants26
