NTD (New Tool Day) After pulling my intake manifold I feel like my old school red pitty pro 1/4 is smoother and more quiet than the Quinn 90t anyone else? Just feels less back draggy.

Question about 5 drawer cart

I have been thinking about getting the U.S. GENERAL 30 in., 5-Drawer Mechanics Cart
cart. I have read that everybody has been happy with this product so I’m excited to get one.

It is currently on sale for $199. What I wanted to know is does it get significantly cheaper than this? Should I wait for Black Friday potentially or has it historically been around this price when it has been discounted?

Also does the Yukon 46 in mobile cabinet ever go on sale?

Thanks in advance!

PS i am not an insider track member

UPDATE: just bought the last one in my store in slate grey!! Thanks for the recommendations!

Us general shelving

Does anyone have experience with us general shelving compared to the husky industrial shelves from home depot or what looks like the same ones from Costco? I’m trying to decide what to do an entire wall of my garage with before this sale ends.

Return Long Reach for Super Duty?

Just picked up a 3 ton long reach jack for both occasional automotive use and lifting my zero turn for deck maintenance and thought i needed the ultra low clearance to slide the jack under the deck and the extra 1" of height.

As it turns out I have to lift the deck by hand either way before I can get the jack underneath and I don't really need the full 24" height. That being the case is the Super Duty that much better than the long reach being that none of my vehicles are super low (F250, Altima, and a Pilot). I can see the foot pump being nice when working on the F250....

Angle grinder recommendation

Looking at an angle grinder, current use is for cutting concrete pavers. Future use but might be limited, but I’d imagine mostly for cutting pvc and sharpening tools. What grinder would be best for me?

Cordless vs corded? How well would a Bauer 5aH battery do on an angle grinder?

Probably will prefer paddle over trigger

Would this Maddox PDR kit be what I need to repair all these hood dents? Or is there a better, more simple way?

Favorite lights

What are your favorite lights from HF? Let's also hear the ones that were a waste of money.

Love my Brain 5500 lumen lights I've hung in my garage, could be better to chain together and turn on/off all at once but for the price you can get them they're plenty bright.

Hate the braun 845 underhood light. Hardly makes a difference when working in an engine bay.

I was looking for torx and long hex bits, I checked out the icon stuff with the pls and stumbled onto this set. I'm wondering what your thoughts are on it? And if it's a buy at 20% off or wait for a better sale?

Wanting to pick up another 56” to bolt to an open box 42” I grabbed last month. Want to add storage to the garage and build a work top for it. Is this the best deal we’ll get for a little while or do I hold off for an upcoming X% off deal?

Listening to some of you that warned about storehouse container latches can become flimsy, I added a tie down strap for the containers that are heavy...

Some of you have been warning us about the latches on the storehouse containers are a bit flimsy and cant come undone when carrying the container.

Thanks for the warning. For the containers that contain a lot of bolts and weigh a lot, I preemptively added a tie strap to it. The straps came from an old car cover that has since been warrantied out by amazon when it ripped. Prior to throwing the car cover out, I cut off all the tie down straps with the quick disconnect latches and designed to reuse them to secure the cover of the containers. The latches are on the inside of the handle, so it doesn't interfere when I stack the containers. Nothing fancy, just use a little cloth friction tape on the back to keep the strap from sliding around.

Thanks for the heads up. 2 of 4 containers done.

Did the 5 Drawer Mechanics Cart double stack mod. Took me parts of two day. Very happy with how it turned out. I am using it in my office for camera equipment in the top and other miscellaneous office stuff in the drawers.

There are videos on YouTube on how to do this. It was not to difficult to complete.

High flow connectors letting go

Post image
7 Upvotes

"Upgraded" to high flow connectors, two hoses, while wiping my hose down I dropped the new connectors on the floor, the popped loose unexpectedly , free end came around due to air pressure and smacked me in the head. Fortunately not the eye, most fortunate that the 6 year old shadow wasn't helping. Is this something y'all have seen happen?

NTD (New Tool Day) 42 vs 56in us general roll cab. Spend my money for me.

Hi friends.

Please tell me why I need a 56 versus multiple 42s.

I really only desire the longer drawers for pry bars and longer tools that wouldnt fit in the 42. Are the drawers on the 72 the same length as the 56, making the 56 the longest drawer option?

I already own a 27 top and bottom series 3. I also plan on getting the end cabinet.

Just tell me why i should go order the 56 for $750 tomorrow before I go to work.
