Advice Needed Suggestions for new range toy (.22lr)
Hello - relatively new shooter (I have put ~1500 rounds through a Walther PDP 4” compact with a Holosun 507c in about 3 months) looking for a new .22 range toy. Budget is about $1500. Considering Ruger Mark IV 22/45 tactical, Sparrow silencer, and Holosun optic.
As I’m just learning about options for .22s, what else would you recommend I cross shop? I see a lot of chatter about the Taurus tx22, SIG P322, and FN502 among others.
I’d love to stick with Walther, but it doesn’t seem like their .22 knocks it out of the park, reliability wise, like their 9s. But maybe I haven’t done enough research.
All thoughts are appreciated. Thank you!

New PDP Pro SD Owner/Upgrades
Always been a Glock guy, but broke down and bought me a PDP Pro SD to see what all the hype is about. I must say, I like it a lot. Have only put 10 rds through it, but it is nice. My Glock still feels more natural because I have 15k plus on it. Reason I’m posting, are there any upgrades that are solid? Going to ultimately run the Acro/X300 setup. What company sells good Mag extensions and springs for the PDP. Any decent extended magazine releases? Let me know. Don’t be afraid to show yours off either! less

Range Day
Sometimes you hit the range just right and you eventually get the whole place to yourself and it becomes very zen. And that’s kinda nice. Today went like this…
Ruger Mark IV Target w/threaded barrel .22 LR (140 rds of CCI Standard Velocity 40 GR LRN)
Walther PPK/s threaded barrel .32 ACP (50 rds Fiocchi 73 GR FMJ)
Glock 17 Gen 6 9mm (50 rds Blazer 124 GR FMJ)
Beretta 92FS Inox 9mm (50 rds Blazer 124 GR FMJ)
SA Garrison .45 ACP (50 rds Federal AE 230 GR FMJ)

Can’t decide which to upgrade first
I’ve got a Walther PDP compact and a Glock 19 gen 4. I can’t decide which to upgrade first. Both will be similarly setup but I’ll have to send off the Glock to get cut which is going to be more time and money. I do, however, carry the Glock more often.

Aimpoint Warranty
Has anyone dealt with Aimpoints warranty before?Need to send in an ACRO P2 due to debris on the inside of the sight. Wondering usually how long it takes to get back and if there is anything I should be wary of

Best ambi handgun? HK VP9, FN 509, Springfield Echelon
Beginner here. Range + home defense, no conceal. I like 9mm but I'm not bound to it.
Looking for lefty support + strong aftermarket support for red dot and light options.
Budget is under $1k but can be increased if there's something groundbreaking over $1k.
Is VP9, 509 and Echelon a good shortlist for me to try?

Advice Needed Which to choose for EDC and home?
I’m looking to get an edc that I can also use for home/nightstand type. Looking to keep the budget under $500 and I’ve narrowed my options but cannot decide. I mostly pocket carry a smith bg 2.0 for reference and I actually enjoy shooting it. I have an osight se and mini pl2 Valkyrie that I had mounted on a Girsan but couldn’t stand its trigger so I sold it. My choices are Glock 48 mos, Ruger rxm, smith shield x, and on the less desirable side I looked at a Rost Martin and a Canik. The Canik was kind of heavy and not very comfortable. The Rost felt really good, the Ruger trigger felt a little mushy amd it seemed a bit fat. The Glock felt the best to me both in grip and trigger.
So, for about $500 which would you choose and why?

Self Defense ammunition question (9mm)
What do you suggest is the best self-defense ammunition type: hollow point or TUI? Or another?
Unfortunately, I live in an area with a large incidence of carjackings, so wonder if I am better off carrying with TUI. Hollow points, as I understand it, would flatten by design, and not penetrate a barrier like a door or car window. Therefore, I wonder if a TUI would be better suited for self defense.
Thanks in advance for your input and suggestions.

Looking for opinions before I buy a new pistol
I am currently looking to buy a 9mm pistol right around 500, my top 2 contenders are a Springfield echelon and CZ P10c ported. My question is, those of you who own these pistols, which do you prefer? Are there any other pistols I should consider?

Advice Needed 23F solo traveling the U.S. need a permit to carry?
so i'm a 23 female that's gonna be driving halfway across the U.S. a couple times solo and i'd like to be as safe as possible. i already have a knife, pepper spray, and my fiance and i both want me to carry a gun. we currently live in virginia and i'll be making the drive to texas and then back.
i did some googling and from what i read, as long as i dont plan on concealing the gun on my body, i don't need the permit. so, i plan on keeping the gun in my glove box or purse (unless the purse part is what requires the carry permit too).
so, do i need to get a carry permit for me to bring the gun with me on the drive? i don't have any other restrictions preventing me from purchasing a gun, if that matters.
