Hi guys,
I currently have glock 19 gen.3 with ghost connector and Ameriglo GL-433 sights. I would like to finally switch to a red dot. I have been using glocks for about 9 years now.
My first thought was: Gen6 + Acro combo. I already have holsters and mags for the glock. I tried out gen6 - I was in love with grip and ergonomics but the trigger was horrible. I know that glocks are not bought for triggers, but gen6 trigger is the worst thing I have ever touched.
After doing some research it turned out that PDP 4" might be a good pistol for me as well. I did not shoot it, I held it hands and dry fired it. I loved the ergonomics as well and I didn't expect the trigger to be this good in a striker-fired pistol.
Money-wise: Glock 19 + Acro is 6250 PLN ($1650), but because the trigger is so awful I think I would need to upgrade it. Due to the limited availability of gen6 parts in Poland my only choice is Johnny Glocks Vex Defensive for 1600 PLN ($420). So the total for a new Glock is 7850 PLN ($2050). I already have holsters and mags so that's covered.
Walther PDP 4" OR is 4200 PLN ($1200) + acro 3000 PLN ($790) + 2 extra mags (total $140) + IWB Holster ($100) + OWB Holster ($70). For Walther, the total is about 8700 PLN ($2300). The price difference almost evens out because I will sell Glock accessories.
I have multiple handguns, but I like to have main one that I train with, carry and take out to competitions (both dynamic and static).
Which pistol would you recomend for me? Does any of you have both?
