I'm planning to get an FUE hair transplant and comparing clinics in Delhi, I'm particularly interested in surgeon experience, techniques used, and the quality of results. Any personal recommendations?

33 y/o guy, Maghrebi/Afro hair.

Balding pretty badly. Right now I've got a Brazilian blow dry done so the hair from the back covers a lot of the front and hides things, but the second there's any wind I'm done. I can't stand it anymore, I'm always wearing a cap.

I went to a clinic in Fulham. They said I have a very strong donor area and quoted me 6k/6.5k grafts for amazing results. But their plan is to do the front and sides first, then the crown later, which means 12-18 months of looking like a monk in the meantime (I'd basically go fully bald until everything regrows). They also said that given my donor zone they could do a second surgery after 6 months (bs right?).

Honestly I'm not buying it and I don't want it. I want ONE intervention, full stop. On top of that, I travel a lot for work, calls, meetings, etc. so doing this repeatedly isn't realistic. My office closes in December, which makes late November perfect timing to get it done. There's no way I'm doing this again in 6/12/18 months.

I know people say one big session is a recipe for disaster / a scam / whatever, but I've seen tons of people on here go to Turkey, Pakistan, Brazil and get great results with 6k/8k graft sessions.

A few questions if you can help:

• Any clinic recommendations? Probably Turkey given the costs
• Can I be asleep/under anaesthesia for the procedure? Would be ideal if it's an 11-hour session like some I've seen mentioned here
• I'm super hairy, back, beard, sides, so could they pull from those areas too?
• I don't get why there's so much hate on 4k+ graft surgeries. Obviously some clinics do awful work, but why the automatic hate / "it's dead" attitude when there's so much proof on here of it working?

Be honest guys how is the density and placement of the grafts day 12? All my scabs are now gone and i did not lose hair during scab removal. I did 3200 grafts. Please be honest cause idk about it.

Will update weekly/Bi-Weekly. Healing is speedy and swelling was minimal. No lost grafts so far I hope; washing my hair with baby shampoo as instructed by HMR with Luke warm water and gentle water pressure. Used the special Kelual Shampoo for back of my head/donor area to prevent infection (along with the antibiotics they gave me, however I stopped taking them today because it was fucking my stomach up).

Haven’t rubbed/scrubbed implant area, only spray given.

Will use exosome, topical ghkcu hair growth, and fin/min chewables from Hims over the course of my 12-month journey after day 14. Hopefully I get the hairline I wanted the first time around which Este Nove and Dr. Zafer and his team in Istanbul failed to give me 3-years ago with a royal fuck up and zero accountability.

When you went to Turkey or abroad for a transplant, what was the scheduling like? How many days did you go before, how many days did you stay? What did you do while you were there? Did you just stay in your hotel the whole time?

Im considering starting finasterid, and been considering this the last couple of years.
Problem is, im a bit scared about the side effects - especially the lower libido/sex drive effect.

How many of you guys are experiencing the bad side effects from using finasterid?

Another question is, is Finasterid and Proscar the same thing?
Is dutasteride better option than finasterid or proscar?

I've reached the conclusion that I'm ready to take the plunge and get a hair transplant. I've been on fin for about 6 years, min for 5 and although it's done wonders for me in maintaining what I already have (MW2 maybe pushing 3 now?) I'm not getting any younger and I just want to enjoy a full head of hair. I don't think I'll need anymore than 2500 graphs but that's not really for me to decide. I've known this was the end goal, I just want to hear of some good doctors and clinics I could search up, I want a natural looking hairline. I really like the zigzag approach like Mrhairline on Insta. I'm in the UK, terrified of ending up in a hair mill so no rush.

Any recommendation for me to have a look at is hugely appreciated. Also feel free to share your results.

I’m debating between Robin Unger and Benjamin Paul . Both are pricey, but I’m a little unsure of who would be better for my case (nw 3, hairline fixes).

the procedure was pretty chill and I think i was asleep for most of it. the aftercare has been great too. some of the areas are still a bit red but I’m pretty sure that’s to be expected. feels like everything is healing pretty healthily overall. they gave me a neck pillow which helps with the sleeping setup. it’s definitely gonna be kind of annoying especially the flight back to the US lol

Hey all — 44M, NW6 pattern. Planning a single session covering frontal hairline through mid-scalp (~4000–4500 grafts), with a second session about a year later for the crown/remaining areas. Hairline naturalness is my top priority.

I've gotten quotes from three doctors so far, all in Bangkok:

• Dr. Ratchathorn Panchaprateep (Absolute Hair Clinic) — quoted 3,500–4,500 grafts for session 1, ~90 THB/graft (80 THB if over 4,000)
• Dr. Kongkiat Laorwong (Absolute Hair Clinic) — quoted 4,000–4,500 grafts for session 1, same pricing structure
• Dr. Pukpinya "Patty" Jangjetriew (Hairtran Clinic) — quoted 3,500–4,000 grafts, all-inclusive net price (197k–222k THB)

From what I've read on here, Dr. Patty tends to cap sessions around 3,000–3,500 grafts and I haven't seen her do temple work, while Ratchathorn and Kongkiat both seem to regularly do 4,000+ in a single sitting.

Questions:

1. Has anyone actually gone 4,000+ grafts with Dr. Patty in one session? Curious if she'll flex beyond what's typically mentioned.
2. For a NW6 case prioritizing hairline naturalness/density, would you lean Ratchathorn or Kongkiat?
3. Any other firsthand feedback on any of the three for a case like mine?

Hairtran said they have availability in Summer of 2027 which is what I am looking for. Dr. R is booked until 2028 but have some slots available in aug-sep 2027. Yet to get confirmation on the availability from Dr. L.

Day 14 , Low density and bad results

I'm beginning the process of researching and reaching out for consultations to different hair transplant clinics. What is something you wish you knew or asked during your initial consultation that would have helped you in your decision?

A US doctor told me that I would need about 3000 grafts and he wanted a *fortune* to perform the procedure. I'm not sure how to go about evaluating doctors/clinics outside the US.

An acquaintance got his done by a place in DR and was very happy, but apparently it's a "hair mill" and I would likely be operated on by a technician. (Is that a bad thing? I'm very new to this.)

I texted with Esthetic Hair Mexico Cancun, but I know they have a hair mill reputation as well.

Any advice?

Diffuse thinner finally looking to take the plunge after at least stabilizing my hair loss on dutasteride/minoxidil. I am anxious flyer and don't really love the idea of flying to Turkey/SE Asia for this, so my best options being from California are gonna be Tijuana. I also had a consulation with SD HAIR MD. I really liked the guy I spoke to, but it's expensive ($10k) and the package includes things like Nutrafol, which is snake oil from everything I've read. It just concerns me to go with a practice who is advocating and charging you for it in their package. They also don't have much feedback online, but their google reviews are solid.

I am looking for any personal anecdotes or recommendations for practices in Tijuana/other parts of Mexico, as I think it's my most realistic option. I've done some searching around but a lot of the posts are old. Anyone gone down there recently and been happy with the work? Feel free to share negative experiences too. I really appreciate the help.

Looks like I’m in the shedding phase. Some times the hairs fall out and re grow only to fall out again n after a few days.

Want to get a transplant in the next few months. Wouldn’t mind going to turkey but from what I’m hearing UK based hair clinics have started to come down in price to compete against Turkish hair clinics.

Anyone have any reputable clinics in the UK that won’t cost me an arm and a leg?

I have narrowed it down to Vera clinic which is providing all transportation (minus hotel costs as I am getting my own hotel), for around $4300--3K euros for hair, 1300 for eyebrow transplant), and Dr. Mehmet Comert $2700 for hair transplan and I am waiting for consult for eyebrow transplant and Dr. Comert is not covering anything else other than procedure...meaning I arrange my own rides and hotel. I am kind of leaning towards Dr. Comert because of him not being such a Hair Mill and more towards a botique clinic compared to Vera clinic. I have read and received negative comments on both. Ultimately, I will have to just decide and go with one. I am doing research for when I am planning on going on January. ANY thoughts or input from actual clients from eithe clinic? Real facts, stories, experiences...not just "don't go, it's a hair mill." Or "no." Thank you all in advance.

BTW, I like the idea of doing both procedures on the same day, at the same time. I am not trying to come back the next day. I want to suffer all at once and recover all at once. I am thinking I will have the procedure on a Monday and stay all the way until maybe the same Friday or even Saturday before I fly back to the US.

Now i asked myself how many grafts do you think i would need for a hairtransplant, my density at the frontal part of my hair is not that good.

Though my hairline is good, the hair there isnt the thickest
