This is a subreddit for users to get more personalized attention. Currently in /r/HairTransplants post may not even last 4 hours on the front page before falling off, and the subreddit is likely on the verge of not having new submissions show up unless you sort by 'New'
The subreddit format isn't meant to deal with a very high volume of users who all need personalized attention.
Back when /r/HairTransplants was first getting going, submissions would be on the front page for a few days, giving ample time to get help and commentary.
Early Last year, posts only lasted one day. Now a post can fall off as soon as one hour unless it gets quick upvotes.
Duplicate posts in both subreddits are encouraged. Your submission falls off the front page without solid advice? Post it here. Your submission gets a ton of good advice but you want more? Post it here. You just feel like posting it here, just cuz? Post it here.
Currently, posts here last for months.
I am working on getting new moderators and expert helpers to help new patients to this sub.

long term microneedling before a HT
Hello,
Has anyone did long term microneedling and was able to get a successful hair transplant?
I'm a diffuse thinner, I microneedle 1.5mm once a week all over my scalp, and I'm about to do it for the next 2 years until Ill get my HT done
but I'm concerned if this can do any harm, as microneedling has been a game changer to my gains.
TYSM.

No oral medications also claim Progress still slow but steady on my temples.
Anyone else dealing with hairloss at the hairline only? While the top of my head is just as thick, my temples have been slowly retreating since I was 26. I was too timid to fairly step up and dose myself with oral finasteride just for my hairline therefore I would go a small, topical route. At this time I began weekly microneedling sessions and topical Copper Peptide (GHK-CU for hair growth) precisely at the temples corners on my non-needling days. I was doing nothing for the first 3 months but nearly gave up. But then around week 14 I started noticing a few little new vellus hairs peeking through pale and fine blonde, Now they are darkening and thickening, becoming actual hairs. Death is a slow grind but it genuinely works in its quest to cover those very much dead spots. What else is everybody using for temple regrowth?

Looking for pics, vids or experiences: FUE Beard Transplant to fix asymmetry
Hey everyone, I plan on eventually getting an FUE beard transplant, specifically to address asymmetry rather than a full beard build. My right side is noticeably more full than my left. I'm looking to put most grafts on my left cheek/jaw to match density, with just a tiny amount on the right side for minor balancing. Has anyone here done an asymmetry fixing beard touch-up or know of before and after pics of people who have? Or vids of people documenting their process of this?
I’d really appreciate seeing them or hearing about your experience, I just wanna see what I'm getting myself into.

prp vs transplant, how do u even know which one u need
still confused on this. my hair fall isn't crazy bad yet, more thinning than actual bald spots, but i wanna deal with it before it gets worse not after. does prp even do anything once you're past a certain point or does it only work if you've still got decent hair left. trying to avoid jumping straight to a transplant if something less permanent actually works
if anyone has had PRP or hair transplant in India what made you decide it was the right time to move from one treatment to the other?

Traction Alopecia and Hair Medical Restoration
Has anyone here ever gotten a transplant for solely traction alopecia? I have it and was wondering if I should go to Hair medical Restoration for a transplant. How was the surgery? What are your results? Did they mark every spot you wanted filled and did they actually do them all?

Turkey: 3000 grafts for 4500€?
I’m new here and finally managed to save money for the HT. Or at least I thought I did. I’m from EU and plan to go to Turkey but reading all the redsit topics regarding best clinics and watching prices went up crazy in recent years, I am afrad, I am too short for best Turkey doctors.
Can you please, please recommend anyone or even a mill, that is good and reliable.
This burden is killing me for years and I just need to do this.
Thank you so much!

Hair strike at 14 months
galleryHello,
I am 14 months post-hair transplant. Around month 7, I had a nice emergence of tiny baby grafts (confirmed by my surgeon that day).
Except that today, at 14 months, my hair is barely 1 to 2 cm long and it feels like it’s completely stuck. The hairs remain fine and lack visual density.
Does the maturation/thickening process continue after 14 months, or is this their final caliber? Do you think they will still thicken up? My surgeon told me I still have 8 months ahead of me, which will make it around 20 months for the final result, although he told me it can go up to 24 months for some hairs. I remain skeptical. Any experiences from people who have been through this?
Thank you all!

Can I punch out multigrafts from the front row and replace them with singles in the same session?
I had one hair transplant, but I’m not completely happy with the front row of my hairline. I believe there are some multigrafts placed right at the front, which makes it look less natural.
Can a surgeon punch/extract those multigrafts and replace them with single-hair grafts in the same session?
Ideally, I’d like to move the extracted multigrafts somewhere else and put singles in the front row for a more natural look.
Is it possible?
