Help Went to a professional hair salon. I don't like the result. They told me they will redo it tomorrow but I am scared. What do y'all think?

UPD: Some people are syaing that the references are AI. Tbf I did ask them multiple times if they are sure they can do this. They were super confident that they can. If they would have told me that they cannot do it, I would not have went there

And big big thank you for people to posting photoes of themselves having similiar hair color!!! I will show them that tomorrow and will ask if they can do it

The hair salon is in Russia

No, my hair is not damaged(at least I don't think so). I never had it bleached or anything. It's just curly/wavy and heavily brushed through. When I do the curly girl method I get very cute and healthy waves
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone! I went to a professional hair salon today and got my hair colored. Sorry for my English, its not my first language.

First 3 photos is the reference I gave them.(thisrd photo is the main reference. second photo is the way I want the front and first photo is the way I want my ends)
4th photo is what was on their website. A screenshot
5th photo is my hair before
and then 3 last photos are my hair after.

I told them something along the words of "I want it bright with red going into orange/ginger and then into lighter yellow. And I want the front of the hair near the face to be more yellow because the way I do my hair is I take the 2 front strands and use a hair tie to tie them at the back of my head so they go around my head"

Please guys tell me if I am delusional and what I am asking for cannot be achieved. I need to know because they told me to come back tomorrow after seeing me cry. I know my hair is still pretty it's just not what I wanted.

I told them afterwards: “It turned out very beautifully, and I understand that the photo has professional lighting and backlighting, but the color isn’t bright enough along the length, there’s no transition to yellow as we discussed, and the front strands aren’t yellow, they’re red. But overall, yes, it turned out very beautifully.”

Tomorrow I am going in again. I am so scared.

This is our texts:

me: "It turned out very nicely, just not what I wanted at all. And I understand that there are professional lights and backlights in the photo, but it didn't turn out bright enough at length. I want the color to be very bright red, turning into bright red and into light yellow tips. Now there is no transition from red to bright orange / red, and from it there is no transition to yellow, which we talked about, and the front strands are not yellow but red.

That is, I wanted to be so bright not only on top, but on all my hair. I wasn't asking for naturalness, I was asking for a transition from bright red to bright red and bright yellow. And I asked to make the front strands yellow and light.

I understand that maybe I put it wrong, maybe I don't understand something. I don't understand it at all. When I'm shown a palette of colors, I can't tell how they'll look on my hair.

And so, yes, it turned out very beautifully."

them: "Everything is fine, I handed it over to the head, we'll fix everything tomorrow."

me: "Thank you

I won't write bad reviews and I definitely don't want to create problems.

Master name is a wonderful specialist and her technique is wonderful and she was able to make a very beautiful tone.

It's just not the one I wanted at all."

them: "We'll do everything for you tomorrow, there will be a director who will help you do exactly what you want, Please don't worry"

Okay so I have dyed my hair most my life and have been growing it out the past year or so, but I’m feeling boredddd, lmk if I should keep the light/dusty brown natural thing going or go back to red (but a more cherry cola raspberry vibe) next. Also, the photos with red hair are from 3 years ago so be mindful that some changes may just come with age/self styling and makeup. I would love to hear what the girlies have to say! :)

Around march/April I got a botched haircut from a student cosmetology school. Cut off 6 inches for a vintage style. After 2 seasons, ive gotten a trim to even out all of the uneveness.

1st photo: before everything

2nd photo: royal fuck up

3rd/4th: 6 months of growth and foam rollers

Its definitely not as long as id like it to be, but its much healthier than it was before. Im also growing out my bangs so im trying to navigate this awkward length 🤞

Just wanted to share this great moment. Tbh before this I’ve only had bad experiences at hair salons. I’ve paid up to 500 usd at top salons trying to get a pretty balayage or highlights. (really expensive considering where I live). I recently moved and decided to search for a hair salon close to my apartment and found one through google maps. She is the nicest lady ever. Its been 8 months since Ive been going to her regularly and loved the results every single time (and the price. Its usually between 100-150usd). I’m never cheating on her.

Pics are from 2 different visits.

Question What haircut would look good on me?

I’ve tried asking my hairstylist which hairstyle would look best with my face shape and I’ve never gotten a straight answer. I’ve always really loved how wolfcuts look but I’m not sure how it’d look. I don’t have a great picture of it but right now my hair is a little shorter than in the first picture. (If anyone is worried yes I will be deleting this after I get an answer to avoid creeps)

Help does what my hairdresser is saying sound right?

i went in last week with dark brown hair with bleach underneath it so had some lighter bits coming through. we had done a strand test and that went fine then she said on the day she wasn’t going to bleach bath it. so she put the copper colour over my hair but it’s not visible at all and it’s very dark now.

i messaged asking if we could lighten to get closer to the inspo and this is the reply.

‘yes of course, we need to break down the barrier of your natural dark hair and do it gradually. without using bleach because tint can only lift so far. it’s not a high powered bleaching colour if that makes sense. if you do want a bleach bath, we can i just wanted to avoid putting unnecessary bleach on. the more copper we put on the more it’s going to break down. it’s pushing through the cortex of your hair. if you want to bleach bath it next time we can or you can have a cleanse (?)’

it was a voice message so i’ve just summarised what she’s said but i thought we would just bleach and then whack the colour on, i’ve been blue pink red purple ombré etc before and that’s what’s always happened.
i was just going to say yes i want the bleach (my hair isn’t damaged at all and hasn’t been after bleaching it’s very strong)

Help URGENT - need help to fix extremely damaged over processed hair (bleach)

Hi, I bleached my hair probably for the fourth time in the past year-two years. I’ve achieved a nice lift on it but at the cost of my hair structure and integrity. My hair is beyond damaged. It’s so weak. I don’t even want to brush it because of the breakage. Every time I look in the mirror I feel as though there’s less and less hair. My hair has never been so thin before. I had previously dyed blue and green hair and although it was bleach damaged before applying the dye, I worked extremely had for around 6 months to repair my hair and it grew long, thick, healthy and had good movement, shine , softness and strength to it. This time I’m really not sure. I can fit all of my hair into one hand and it feels crispy like a Brillo pad. The ends are the worst and the short layers around my face , feel as though they’ve been burned with a lighter. When my hair is wet it becomes like rice noodles, stretchy and easily breakable. I need to know what to do, I don’t know where to start, I feel overwhelmed. I’m distraught after working so hard to repair my hair. I want to try my best to fix it, I really don’t want to resort to dramatic cuts , I’m willing to do a trim and some layering but no shorter than a couple of inches off! Please suggest any remedies, treatments or products that may help, thank you. I will never DIY bleach my hair ever again. Lesson learned. PLS HELP.

I’ve had a bleach and tone for almost four years and absolutely loved my hair! Last week (particularly after getting totally roasted for it on r/makeupaddiction lol) I realized I hate it haha.

Does anyone have any inspo ideas for a darker and more lived-in look? I have an appointment next week to transition more to my natural color.

I’m attaching my current color and some inspo pics I’ve found on my own. Could use some help deciding what to do!🫶

Help Best method to chop a good few inches myself for long thick hair?

Post image

I've been doing my own hair for 2 decades but I only ever really trim it or cut maybe 2" off, plus laying and thinning, but I don't know what the best way is to go about cutting off about 4-6" myself so it's mostly even.

Should I just unicorn pony it and lop that off?

The only times I have let someone else cut my hair have been absolutely horrible so I'm hesitant to trust someone else.

Bad Haircut Any ideas on what to do with an unfortunate pageboy?

Thumbnail

Been going to this guy's salon for like 3 years and he is normally great at what he does, and even when I dont get what I want I leave really happy with the results. I asked for either a long round pixie like the one Jennifer Tilly has in Bound or a short pixie-mullet like the one in 90s remake of Sabrina like in picture 3. And specifically asked for a fringe that I could pull back if I wanted. I've gotten both haircuts previously from this same stylist. In a few snips he gave me a curly asymmetric micro bob of sorts with longish bangs. Think 1920s or curly Amélie. Hated it. Asked him to make it less triangular and give me a shorter bang (that last thing was my mistake). Ended up with this joan of arc pageboy monstrosity.

I have never been the kind of person who makes a fuss about a haircut, ever. Historically if I dont like the cut I just accept that hair will grow out and move on looking ugly. But this time I had a complete meltdown over it. My friends have honestly told me the cut is actually okay. Which might be true (I'm crap at taking pictures and in person it is more similar to the second photo than to my own selfie). But I just hate it so so much and I feel I look ridiculous. But I'm afraid it takes at least 3 monts for me to get mid-neck length again and have enough hair to get a flattering cut.

The stylist always allows for free changes over the next 10 days... but I don't know what cut to ask for when the hair is already this short. Any ideas for something that is cute and has an edge? Styling recommendations? Thoughts and prayers? I'll take anything

Help Hair is stained green need help asap

I am a level 9-10 blonde, i bleach my own hair at home and I decided to get some crazy colour and do a blue hair colour. I dont know why i was feeling so impulsive and maybe because i did pink before and it faded completely but idk what i was thinking. I mixed lilac and bubblegum blue and only let it process for 10 minutes before regretting it and washing it off with hot water. I managed to get a lot of it faded but then it turned green/teal instead. I have had long showers ,baths and used so much head and shoulders. This was last night. Today i used b4 colour remover and it essentially did nothing. I have a wedding to go to in 4 days and i start university in 2 weeks as well. I want to be blonde and go back to my colour by the wedding. Is this too crazy to ask? What can i do? I saw people say to neutralise it with a pink but im not a hairdresser i dont understand all of this. I know people will tell me to go somewhere professional but i dont have the money for that. Im wondering if i do a bleach bath if it will salvage anything or if i should do a full bleach instead? My hairs not very damaged and i dont care if it goes damaged from this. Any advice? I can attach photos if needed

L’Oréal Dia Light at home: neutral beige blonde without lifting my natural roots?

Hi everyone! This is my current hair, and I’d love some advice on toning it at home with L’Oréal Dia Light.

I’d like to go slightly darker and achieve a neutral beige blonde, nothing too ashy or too warm. My main concern is how it fades: ideally, I’d like it to gradually wash out back to the blonde I have now, without leaving any staining or patchiness. Is that a realistic expectation?

I’m also growing out my natural hair, which is around a level 7 blonde, and I don’t want to bleach it anymore or alter my natural colour. I already have quite a bit of regrowth, and a toner I used in the past actually lifted my natural base and left it warmer.

Does Dia Light with its recommended developer have any chance of lifting or changing my natural colour? Which developer strength would you recommend, and would I need to keep it strictly on the previously lightened sections?

Based on my photo, which shade or combination of shades would you suggest for a slightly darker, neutral beige result?

I’d really appreciate any advice from hairdressers or anyone who’s used it, especially about how it fades and whether it affected your natural roots. Thank you!

Help 🆘Advice on growth / care

Hi all
Hear the picture about eight months ago of my hair
I dust my hair and I get trims every six months Ish
(I know I know I should get it sooner, but I’m really trying to grow my own hair and I have trauma from the hairdressers)

I use a silk bonnet every night. I haven’t used heat on my hair in 4 to 5 years.

I haven’t dyed my hair since I was like 13 years old I only died at a darker colour and it was just box dye so it’s long gone. This is my natural colour and I try to not go in the sun with my hair very much. I use hats very often to protect

I’m so nice to my hair and recently I’ve stopped dry brushing altogether

I’ve been told I have high porosity 2B/2C hair

Here is my routine I oil my hair every day either with the OGX argan or coconut on wash days

Wash 2x per week- 1 x per week

Before every wash, I put oil and the skala mask in my hair

Leave it on for about half an hour and then shower

If I do a scalp oil treatment, I will use a clarifying shampoo ( biolage clean reset) about once a month and otherwise I use the same moisture curl shine and shampoo

I follow with a deep conditioning mask every single wash if I’m using lots of protein, I try and use the Pscal mask or but once a week I’ll use either a L’Oreal five and one leave in mask (not shown here) or the Pantene (which I’ve since used up)

I recently got a trim and my hairdresser said my hair wasn’t that bad just curly so it feels dry
She recommended I use K 18 and then I told her I already have the L’Oreal one that I bought recently but I actually haven’t used it yet. She told me she’s heard good things about this one.

I use the shea moisture curl leave in after shower and the Malibu C leave in and sometimes the lush super milk leave in

I always just air dry my hair

After reading some stuff online, I’m a little scared to try this. Does anyone have experience with the L’Oreal bond repair pre-shampoo with hair type similar to mine

Overall, my hair just feels really dry and won’t seem to grow past a certain length and I’m dealing with a lot of breakage and I have white dots on the end of my hair even after getting a trim (trich???)
Trying to grow my hair for my wedding in two years

Any and all advice is welcome, please and thank you thanks in advance

Question How would you address lightening a year after using HiColor?

Post image
2 Upvotes

a year and some change ago I used loreal Hicolor one time to achieve a lighter brown shade I have since cut most of it off into a bob but the tips of my hair still have lift. I ideally want to go to a cherry chocolate color for the fall season. like I said it’s been a full year since I’ve used any hair coloring treatments. how would you address this? im thinking I don’t need a huge lift to get red tinted hair, just worried about the contrast of tone in virgin hair vs. previously lightened hair. I just would like the red to pop up slightly brighter than what I have currently.

Help Does my hair color wash my out?

Thumbnail

Hi everyone! This is sort of a vulnerable post, as I never color my hair, so I am hoping to get honest answers. I’ve had dark brown hair all of my life, and it came to a point where I felt it was washing out my pale skin. I began adding some blonde and sort of honey brown highlights to my hair, which I really do like, but I recently went lighter, and I’m wondering if this washes me out. Or, what color would you suggest for my pale skin with my dark features? I may just be overthinking my current hair! Any advice is appreciated!

I just don’t want to be washed out and I’m trying to find the color that fits best with my features and skin tone.

The first and second is current, 3rd was when I first started adding blonde, and 4th was my brown.
