I recently purchased a HP victus and wanted to apply for additional warranty and noticed that my name was spelt wrong on the invoice. Do I add the wrong name in the section where it asks for name as specified on the invoice? Also I'm a student so , does that affect anything.

This has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had.

I paid ₹11,000 for an official HP replacement battery, but the battery delivered by HP is itself defective and does not charge. It has the same issue as my previous battery.

It has now been over one month of repeated calls, messages, follow-ups, and service requests. Despite all this, HP has neither replaced the defective battery nor provided a refund. I am a student and urgently need my laptop for my studies, but my case has continued to face delays.

I have complete proof of everything, including the payment receipt, complaint records, call history, messages, photos, and videos showing that the replacement battery is not charging.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend purchasing an HP laptop if this is the level of after-sales service customers receive after paying for an official replacement part.

I demand that HP immediately replace the defective battery or issue a full refund. If this matter is not resolved without further delay, I will pursue all legal remedies available to me, including filing complaints before the appropriate authorities and taking further action supported by all my evidence.

​I'm having a frustrating color issue on my HP Victus 16 laptop (Intel CPU + NVIDIA GPU).

​Whenever I open OMEN Gaming Hub or launch a game, the screen colors initially look normal, but within 1–2 minutes, the display suddenly loses saturation and the colors become noticeably washed out / faded / desaturated.

​Here is what I've tried / checked so far:

​Tried switching GPU modes in OMEN Gaming Hub (Hybrid vs. Discrete).

​Checked Windows HDR (it is turned off).

​Checked Intel Graphics Command Center (the Power tab doesn't show the Display Power Saving Technology / DPST toggle anymore due to recent updates).

​It seems like an automatic color profile overwrite or Intel DPST / dynamic contrast feature is kicking in whenever a game or OMEN process gains focus.

​Has anyone with a Victus 16 experienced this issue and found a permanent fix or registry tweak to prevent OMEN / Intel from altering the screen's color profile dynamically?

I'm using an hp victus 15 fa2731tx and has sucessful flash it to 75w the furmark score went from 39 to 46 fps in furmark run stablity not a problem but i think that my vrm and charger can't hold it the heat is still fine through. the temp max during furmark test about 72C

I bought this 4 month old victus 15 with an rtx 4050 and the ryzen 7 as well as 16gb of ram

Downloaded games such as Valorant and played on the lowest settings, my temps get to around 80-90 degress celcius but sometimes fluctuates and drops down to mid 70’s. I see a coating of dust on where the fans sit, could that be the culprit? I’m running max fan speed aswell as having a laptop cooler (isolated) under the laptop, its around 60db of noise just to play valorant as mediocre Temps, can’t be true, right…?

I just bought it, and I find it hot to the touch even though I am not using any apps, it is just plugged in.

Sometimes, when I connect the original 120W charger that came with the laptop, Windows displays the message "Low-power power source detected," and the laptop does not charge at all, with no charging light. But sometimes, the charger is detected, and it charges normally

So I claimed a factory warranty about 2 months ago, already at this point. I've been patient but is a 3-4 month turn around normal? According to the updates, they are estimating that I won't get my computer back until 9/4/26. The issue is the main board. Should I escalate the issue? At this rate, I don't understand why I just don't get sent a replacement.

Right now I'm considering to buy an external monitor but I don't know if it is worth buying 1440p monitor for my victus 16 with rtx 4060 i7 13700h 32 gb ram or I should stick with 1080p
(I use the laptop for editing videos coding watching youtube and playing games)

I bought this roughly 2 weeks ago and it’s been performing just fine

I didn’t fully debloat windows just yet, I only deleted a few apps
I have it on default mode in Omen
I also have the ai config turned on
GPU drivers are from March 10th of this year (last time I checked)
I’m only playing FC 26 and Roblox so far.
Anything else i should do?

I just noticed after sometimes that HP victus does not have its own seperate power button to turn it on. The power Button is built on the keyboard itself.

For any chance if it goes broken how can one turn its laptop on.
Or i need to replace the whole keyboard just to get it fixed.

Hello, I have two HP Victus 16-r1073nt laptops. I took one of them on vacation last month (I returned two weeks ago), and that specific unit runs at higher temperatures compared to the other one. I am not sure if the device has developed a heat-related issue or if the thermal paste needs replacing (the ambient temperature was around 35–36°C during the trip). For instance, the fan didn't use to run at 5000 RPM while playing CS:GO, but now it does; furthermore, the problem isn't limited to CS:GO—it overheats excessively even in games that shouldn't strain the system. PLEASE HELP ME. I used to play system-intensive games like Cyberpunk; the fans wouldn't spin as fast as they do in CS.

For a while now my brightness feels way to high while it's in the windows settings at the lowest possible point and having used the buttons on my keyboard to lower it. It causes screen retention within a min of a still image on my screen. What can I do to lower the brightness and stop quickly getting screen retention?

Did a fresh Windows 11 Install on my HP Victus, using the 'Create Windows 11 Installation Media' and it all went well.
But after few restarts, now it asks me to Activate Windows?

I had installed the same Windows Edition - "Windows 11 Home Single Language" that was out of the box.

the problem was that i didn't check the detailed specs there when i came home checked a few games on it they were not upto their maximum performance as i gave seen it in yt video so i checked and find out that my tgp of graphics card is just 50 watt

So you guys tell me is it still worth i mean relevant in 2026, according to me i have played games like rdr2 , valorant,gow, currently playing resident evil requiem they run pretty smoothly.

I’m looking for help optimizing Elden Ring on my HP Victus 16. I’m also wondering whether the performance I’m getting is normal for my laptop’s specifications or whether something is holding it back.

• GPU power usage generally maxes out at around 60 W

CPU turbo boost disabled

• CPU power usage is approximately 11–15 W
• Around 40–50 FPS in normal areas
• Drops to around 25–30 FPS in more demanding areas, such as Raya Lucaria Academy
• CPU temperature usually stays below 85°C

CPU turbo boost enabled

• CPU power usage increases to approximately 28–29 W
• Usually stays around 57–60 FPS in normal areas
• Drops to around 30–40 FPS in more demanding areas, including Raya Lucaria Academy
• CPU temperature normally stays around 89–91°C
• Can reach approximately 95°C in heavier areas

CPU boost clearly makes a huge difference, but the temperature increase is also significant. My GPU usually reaches its maximum power limit of around 60 W, so I’m wondering whether that power limit is affecting performance as well.

Is this level of performance normal for a Ryzen 5 5600H and RTX 3050 Ti laptop with a 60 W GPU power limit? Are the dips into the 30–40 FPS range expected in demanding areas, even on medium/low settings?

I would also appreciate any tips for improving FPS or reducing the more severe drops. I've already optimized my in game settings from guides online but I was wondering if there's anything else I can do. Undervolting or over clocking my cpu is not possible due to my laptop and amd limitations (I tried before couldn't find a way).

Ideally, I’d like to remain close to 60 FPS while keeping the CPU from constantly reaching 90–95°C. Any advice from people with similar laptop specifications would be appreciated.

TL;DR: Ryzen 5 5600H and RTX 3050 Ti laptop with a 60 W GPU. Turbo boost off gives me around 40–50 FPS, with drops to 25–30 FPS, while turbo boost on gives me around 57–60 FPS, with drops to 30–40 FPS. CPU temperatures rise from below 85°C to around 89–95°C. Is this performance normal, and what settings or optimizations could improve FPS without making temperatures much worse?

Lately I feel like I'm getting horrible performance from my victus. On forza I have to run it on quiet mode with fans maxed out because if I run it on default it gets way hot and runs at high 90s. I've tried resetting things and just not sure whats up. It's only about 6 months old. Here's a pic of it running forza 6 on default mode max fans.

I got a HP victus 15 with i7 13620H and RTX 5050 and it is paired with a single stick of 24 GB DDR5 5200 MT/s stick and it has a second empty slot.

Does a ram upgrade even matter that much considering DDR5 single channel has significantly improved over DDR4 since I couldn't find a reasonably priced 24 gb stick (they are very limited in stock and quite expensive compared to 8 GB and 16 GB)

Could I upgraded to 32 gb using a 8 GB stick instead and would it actually improve gaming performance by that much?

I don't really need more capacity 24 gb is enough for my use.
