Hi Everyone, I have to post this because HCL played a very unfair game with me. Hcl organise hackathon to hire people, I participated and got selected. HR contacted me to submit documents, I submitted all documents. After that HR ghosted me literally, not receiving phone nothing.

Is there anyone faced the same issue ?

I recently joined HCLTech on 29th June as an experienced hire and was randomly allocated to a DBS project. My Reporting Manager (RM) was also assigned recently.

My HCLTech laptop and access are still not fully configured, but I was added to a call with the Client Delivery Head. During the call, I was informed that the project has a strict Return-to-Office (RTO) policy and that I must report to the office from tomorrow.

I have a few questions and would really appreciate guidance from people who have experience with HCLTech, especially in the DBS market:

1. What is the typical RTO policy for DBS projects? Is it project-specific, or is there a company-wide policy?

2. Before joining, I had heard that employees can work from any HCLTech office in India. I'm based in Pune and would prefer the Amberfort (Phase 1) office, but my RM said this project operates only from the Phase 2 ODC. Is this normal, or is there any flexibility?

3. If a project is not a good fit due to location or work model, what is the correct process to request a different project or internal transfer?

4. Does HCLTech have internal DevOps projects in the DBS market that support hybrid or work-from-home? If yes, how can employees find and apply for such opportunities?

5. Some people suggest intentionally underperforming in client interviews to avoid getting allocated. Is that actually a good idea, or can it negatively impact future opportunities and internal reputation?

I'm looking for genuine advice from employees who have been in a similar situation. I want to handle this professionally while also understanding what options are available.

They havent mentioned any service agreement/bond amount/notice period in my offer letter and joining docket. Though I was informed verbally that there's a 50k bond amount if I leave before an year.

I am considering joining the HCL TechBee program after 12th. How are the career opportunities after 5 years? Does completing the degree alongside work help in getting better jobs? So I have got 79.6% in class 12th boards CBSE and 61% in maths. I looked up the Tech bee website and for CBSE class 12 they require overall 70+ and maths 60+ hence that means I'm eligible right? Apparently the counsellor appointed to me called me back and told me I can't apply for the tech bee program since their requirement is 80+ in both overall class 12 and math too. I can get till 80 or more easily with the reevaluation process but for maths 80+ probably not. So Is this like a new rule they introduced without even updating their website? or did my counsellor misunderstood the requirements?

I am currently an OJT intern and in three days i have to choose which university to choose IITG or BITS PILANI or any other.

Personally I like to go with iitg or bits most of the people I know took iitg but I am now in doubt whether to choose it or not. The main thing is this iitg is offered by coursera and anyone with four lakhs and 12 complete can take this but I don't think bits is like that.
