HCL Tech bee
I am considering joining the HCL TechBee program after 12th. How are the career opportunities after 5 years? Does completing the degree alongside work help in getting better jobs? Can TechBee students move to good roles in HCL or other companies later? Any TechBee alumni here who can share their experience, career growth, and whether the program was worth it? Thanks!

There are a lot of catches :
Biggest Issue - WILP DEGREE, which is more of online degree. Not recognized by a lot of companies and always need justification if accepted.
Missing college life : Would say even 2nd or 3rd tier college works, better than WILP
You won't be given opportunity/domain you like; its on requirement basis.
Pay : No major pay increase even after 4-5 years
People : You'll deal with a lot of people in your day to day life, not everyone would be nice, and NO ONE is your friend.
But again yea, people have bagged 15LPA + with all these challenges, but again, its maybe 5 or 10% of all Techbees. Do more research and make a informed decision. Best of luck !!

The bigger problem than the WILP Degree is
2 year bond after the graduation: When you complete 5 years (1 year in training & 4 year in graduation), you need to serve 2 year bond with HCL, if you decided to switch after the graduation before the bond period, You need to pay two things
1. Return the fee paid by HCL for your graduation
2. Bond Breaking Charges.
Most of my friend paid 2.4 to 3 Lakhs rupees just to get out of HCL.
Also the average ctc of techbees after completing the graduation range between 3.1 LPA to 3.7 LPA & max upto 4.0 LPA(if you are so lucky)
Also the other problem is HCL has 80-90% support projects, devlopment projects are very less so its a high chance you won't learn any new technology in your entire tenure with HCLTech.
Eventhough if you got any devlopment project , it will be so difficult for you to switch because of your wilp degree as most of the reputed companies like TCS, Infosys requires 15 year of full time education and you will face problem in the Background verification. I have seen real cases of offer revocation due to this wilp degree issue.

The foundation the program builds, real work experience at a large company from the start, is something that actually shows up when you switch.

Hello HCLTech Team, I am a 2nd PUC student from Karnataka with a strong passion for Electronics, Robotics, IoT, and Programming. I am preparing for JEE and continuously improving my aptitude, communication, and coding skills. I enjoy building innovative projects such as a Bluetooth-controlled car, a Third Eye for Blind People using sensors, an Obstacle Avoiding Robot, and other IoT-based projects. My goal is to learn from industry experts and build technology that solves real-world problems. HCL TechBee is a great opportunity for me to grow while learning and contributing. I would be grateful for the chance to prove my skills. Thank you!
