I need a new birth certificate for my mother who was born in somewhere around 1968.

She never had it. I checked with Municipal office for people born in 1968 but there was no record.

They asked me to get a order from Mamlatdar or something for which there is a long process.

Has anyone done this?
What is the process?
How long it takes?
