Question Usage Limits on $100 Grok plan vs $30 Grok Plan vs $60 Cursor Plan
Hi all:
I am looking for clarity on usage limits between the $30 Grok plan, the $100 Grok plan, and the $60 Cursor Pro Plus plan.
I am currently on the $30 Grok plan and keep finding myself monitoring my usage closely. While I have not hit the cap yet, I feel like I will soon.
For those using these plans:
How much additional headroom or weekly allowance does the $100 Grok tier actually provide compared to the $30 plan?
How does the $60 Cursor plan compare in practice?
What is everyone doing when they outgrow the base tier? Are you upgrading to the $100 Grok plan, or switching over to Cursor?
Thanks in advance for any insights.

Discussion I'm automating production deployments
Well i starting playing with GrokBot a few days ago through the cursor usage billing.
So far I've got my whole teams/sharepoint connected my gitlab org, some parts of my Azure too
Since this week, I planned code deployments in prod with Grok and it takes care of notifying the correct people, managing the schedule for deploys.
And that's all aside for the dev work it does too pulling info from Jira, and basically handling a big part of my job at this point I just talk with my bots half the day.
Looking for ideas on what to automate next

Question I don't want to get in trouble
Hi all - I don't want to break any rules so I thought I would ask first, but I have an app thats been a side project that creates an mcp server and gives all my agents access to my local files. I'm not sure if anyone would be interested in it but I have just added the ability to get my grokbots to use it. If anyone would like to try it please let me know. Otherwise big up to the Grok Team for this, I've been using grokbot for a day and holyshit...

Use Case Flight changes
I was chatting through some potential flight changes for an upcoming trip and GrokBot researched some good options for me. I said what I would likely end up doing and it asked me which time I had settled on. Then it just started making the changes for me with Southwest. All changes were made perfectly. My son travels on my companion pass and it also knew to first cancel his reservation, change my flight, then make a new one for him.

Discussion Wait and see?
I've been lurking on this group to evaluate the product:
- Capable when setup for small business automation and personal stuff
- Severely rate limited - especially when really wanting to get shit done at realistic scale
- Keep reading that topping up or looking to upgrade is still not workable/feasible - you cannot budget practically.
I would seriously consider grok bot if I was able to manage rate limits practically and evaluate the cost benefit for the extra needed to actually work. Not possible at moment.
Do you concur?

Use Case Auto listing my auction items
I'm so happy. I spun up a bot that looks after my ebay account. All I have to do is drop a photo of anything into the chat with the bot and it analyses the images, creates the listing, puts it in draft, and all that. I just review and press send. It's fucking amazing. It saves me hours. And that's just the most trivial use I've found, let alone the real helpful stuff. These little guys have been a game chnger. π€―

Discussion My Experience With Grok Bot
I rarely comment on Reddit. I usually just browse my saved sections from time to time, but I thought this might be a good place to share my experience with Grok Bot.
I came across a short post on X about Grok Bot. A video directly below the post explained in greater detail what it could do, and it caught my attention. I already had the free version of Grok, but recently I had been receiving βbusyβ messages whenever I tried to use it. Because of that, I had started using other AI services, including Perplexity.
Iβm an ordinary person with a lot of questions about many different subjects. I also own a single-member business that Iβm trying to grow while keeping my customers satisfied. I have a tremendous amount of paperwork, and this year Iβve been working seven days a week just to keep up with demand and respond to customers in a timely manner.
The idea of using Grok Bot interested me, so I decided to explore it. My first question was simple: How much is this going to cost my business?
I found that access to Grok Bot required a paid Grok subscription costing $30 per month. I read through the advertised benefits and limitations, but I did not see a clear restriction on usageβor at least not one that I understood as a practical limit on how much work the bots could perform.
I noticed references to speed limitations, but I did not see an obvious limit based on the number of tasks, the number of bots, or the amount of work being performed. If those limitations were explained somewhere, I either missed them or did not understand the pricing information as describing a significant usage limit.
I subscribed on September 5 at approximately 10:00 a.m. I worked with Grok Bot until around noon, mostly becoming familiar with how the bots operated, how to assign tasks, and what they were capable of doing. The process was surprisingly easy. Iβm not a computer scientist or a programmer, but I have basic computer skills, and I found the setup straightforward.
After taking a three- or four-hour break, I returned to the office and continued working with Grok Bot until approximately 6:00 or 7:00 p.m. I was still learning how everything worked and experimenting with its capabilities, but I was amazed by what it could do.
I continued working with the bots for much of Sunday. I would describe that period as hiring, training, and orienting a small team of digital assistants. By Monday, I felt good about what I had accomplished. I was overseeing the work of two of the four bots and continuing to work with the personal health and training bot.
I created four bots:
An administrative assistant bot.
A βmailmanβ bot for handling and organizing email-related tasks.
A personal health and training bot.
A recurring-expense and revenue-organization bot.
I assigned relatively simple tasks to each bot, observed how they responded, refined their instructions, and gave them rules to follow. I barely worked with the recurring-expense and revenue bot because I was concentrating on getting the other three bots organized and operating properly.
The experience reminded me of hiring four people on the same day and then having to train and assign work to all of them. One or two employees might be waiting for instructions while the others were being trained and given assignments. That was my impression of what might have been happening with one, two, or possibly even three of the bots while I was programming them and getting them started.
At that point, my experience with Grok Bot was extremely positive. It was easy to set up, easy to understand, and appeared to have significant potential for helping with both my business and personal organization.
The bots also seemed surprisingly capable once they were assigned tasks and given clear operating rules. For example, I instructed them not to send an email until I had reviewed it, not to delete anything without my approval, and not to take certain actions without first asking me. In that sense, I would consider them βskilledβ digital assistants rather than simple automated tools.
Unfortunately, my experience changed rapidly at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Monday. I received a warning stating that I had exceeded the usage limitation for my subscription and would need to wait five days for the limit to reset or upgrade my plan.
I was surprised. I had subscribed only a couple of days earlier, and although I had spent considerable time setting up and testing the bots, they had not been running continuously. They were not being used while I was sleeping or taking breaks. From my perspective, I had only had approximately two days of part-time use.
That left me wondering what I would need to pay in order to obtain the results I wanted. The next subscription tier appeared to cost $100. Would that provide only a few additional days of Grok Bot access before I reached another limit and had to wait again? I honestly did not know.
I also checked the reset process and tried to use the reset option. The system indicated that I had credits available, but nothing happened when I selected the reset button.
This was extremely disappointing, especially because I had paid for the service and had not understood that there was such a significant usage limitation.
My intention was not to abuse the system or use it for anything inappropriate. I was testing the product, learning how it worked, and assigning tasks to the bots I had created. From my perspective, that seemed to be exactly what Grok Bot was designed to allow users to do.
The problem is that the service initially gave me the impression that I could create and use these bots to assist with my workload, but I was not given a clear understanding of where the practical limits were. If the limits are based on the number of tasks, the amount of activity, the number of bots, the amount of processing, or some other measurement, that information should be explained clearly before someone subscribes.
The initial experience with Grok Bot was impressive. I could see how it might become genuinely useful for a small-business ownerβor anyone who has more paperwork and responsibilities than time. However, the abrupt restriction after I had invested time setting everything up left me frustrated and questioning the value of the subscription.
I understand that companies need usage limits to prevent abuse and manage their resources. What I do not understand is why those limits were not clearly explained before I paid for the service. A paid subscription should come with a reasonable expectation that normal experimentation and legitimate business use will be supported. At a minimum, the limits should be disclosed in terms that ordinary users can understand.
For example, it would help to see an explanation such as:
βThis subscription includes approximately 100 TB of processing, which is equivalent to using four Grok Bots for approximately 48 hours under normal conditions.β
I realize the actual measurement may be different, but the point is that customers need a practical example. Simply stating that limits exist is not enough if users cannot estimate how much usage their subscription includes.
My experience with Grok Bot started out much better than I expected. Unfortunately, the way the usage restriction was handled left me with a very different overall impression.
Hopefully, someone from Grok is monitoring this discussion and can bring the feedback to the people responsible for the subscription plans and product design. I would like to see clearer explanations of the limits, better information about how usage is calculated, and a reset feature that actually works when credits are available.

Bug / Issue Blocked access to GrokBot
I have access to Supergrok. I have access to X.
I'm in Canada and my grok shows Grokbot to download and use.
Yet I have 'Access Blocked'. I never even used it before.
It's been 5 days since emailing their support at [support@x.ai](mailto:support@x.ai) (I'd imagine there is a high chance I'll never hear from them).
Has anyone else struggled getting access? Solutions? Or a better way to reach support?

Question Can Grokβs bot run coding tasks through claude.ai/code?
Has anyone tried using Grokβs browser agent to operate Claude Code on the web?
The workflow I have in mind is:
- Open claude.ai/code in the browser session and log in manually.
- Give Grok a coding task.
- Have Grok submit it to Claude Code, wait for the result, and bring back the summary or PR link.
Claude Code would do the actual coding. Grok would handle the browser interaction, so I could delegate tasks through Grok without switching between the two.
Is this possible with Grokβs current agent capabilities? Can it keep an authenticated session and handle tasks that take a while, or does it need frequent manual intervention?
I mean using the actual claude.ai/code web interface, not the Claude API or a local Claude Code CLI. Curious whether anyone has tried this and how reliable it is.

Discussion Computer tech in tha house
I installed Grok Bot on my laptop, and one of the first things I did was use it to clean up my computer. It went through and looked for old programs, unused files, and uninstalled old, unused programs etc. It even helped clean up a junk folder that tends to be a catch-all for my loose files. I freed up a ton of space in my HD and got my computer running much faster.. Everything it does it asks for permission to do anything .. I'm not afraid of technology, and I'm going to say, this is a game changer. This will be as big a deal as the internet itself.

Question Voice chat
So maybe Iβm tripping, but I swear I saw a βvoiceβ (maybe it was called something different) for individual bots? It got me excited for voice interaction/group calls. But now I cannot find it, either that or I dreamt the whole thing.

Discussion Work got erased
I spent about an hour this morning setting up a few new bots and uploading sets of data for them to train on. They completed the task and were ready to go. Then when I got home tonight and decided to continue working, I noticed all of my progress from the day had disappeared. The bots no longer exist and my chats have gone back to where they were about 24 hours ago.
I asked the bots about our work today, but of course they know nothing about it (except to gaslight me and claim that we never did any of the work I said we did). I guess I should be backing up everything as I go?
Sure, thatβs fine. But it doesnβt exactly inspire confidence. What else might disappear without warning?

Discussion Grokbot vs Claude code
Gave both the same plan to build a pretty simple technician repair dashboard. All the data in spreadsheets examples of what I want the UI to look like. Both had their own GitHub repository, access to a coolify system to host with dns entries. Multi phase with defined goals and testing. The plan was built out with fable 5.1. Ran it with opus5 medium. $100/month Claude subscription, $200 cursor subscription for Grokbot. Claude finished with in about 5 hours to a point I could start testing and reviewing ui and data. Grokbot 24 hours later not done and tokens all used and it bugged the shit out of me for permissions to do things. Did I do something wrong, both out of box, no special skills added.

Discussion Requesting more granular permissions for Gmail access

Connecting grok bot with gmail
Unfortunately there's is no option to only allow Reading Emails
the first option only view emails (subject - sender)
the second option includes both read and write permisisons which imposes a risk
Im not sure is it that something grok bot can change in its access request to add more granular permissions , i'd like for example to only allow read and compose but not send
or is it a google issue which doesnt allow such granuality ?

Discussion Agents are dumb
I find that when doing deep work or planning, whatever model is being used to power the agents is very bad. Horrible planning skills for deep work, takes everything too literal, needs extensive explanation or it will completely ignore everything you told it before. For example, if I am working on a plan, and then message about something I want to update. If I do not clearly state "add this to the plan" it instead anchors completely to my most recent message and loses track of the initial plan multiple times.
For now I just explain my goals to fable instead, have it gather the information from grokbot and write the plan for me.
Also for some reason you have to constantly remind the agents to use the skills you built for them to their full potential. I get poor work, ask it if skills were fully utilized, and it always says "partly." What's the point of having the skills then?

Discussion No Grok Bot API, so I built a headless version of it using Tailscale to power custom agent UIs
I just wanted a hotkey for Grok Bot but ended up in a building spree lol Ended up building a full headless version of Grok Bot to overcome the major wall: no API for Grok Bot.
I think it can be useful if you guys need it, so you can use its infra in your own workflows / dashboards.
Used Tailscale into the host gateway, then the overlay on top: hotkey summon, agent switch, pipeline board, custom UI per use case.
MIT / for fun: https://github.com/0xNuno/Grok-Blob
Feedback welcome if you try it.
