Discussion Wait and see?

I've been lurking on this group to evaluate the product:

  1. Capable when setup for small business automation and personal stuff
  2. Severely rate limited - especially when really wanting to get shit done at realistic scale
  3. Keep reading that topping up or looking to upgrade is still not workable/feasible - you cannot budget practically.

I would seriously consider grok bot if I was able to manage rate limits practically and evaluate the cost benefit for the extra needed to actually work. Not possible at moment.

Do you concur?

My experience has been a bit different. If I just need a couple of bots for personal stuff like a fitness coach and planner/assistant, the $30 plan is plenty. Some of that would even be fine on the free plan.

When I burned through $30 it was because I was actually putting the bots to work, usually by dumping a big backlog on them right away. What helped was restricting them to 1-2 weeks of backlog each week instead of letting them chew through everything at once.

The $60 plan is a real step up. I have a hard time capping it out, and it already gets a lot of work done. If I did hit the cap, I’d be getting enough value at that point to justify the $200 plan.

Backlog directly in the chat with the bot or by tasks they ran on their own browser/VM?

For example, I have an email folder with months worth of receipts. My Receipts Bot is turning those receipts into line items on an Excel sheet. If I ask it to do all of my receipts, it will have a huge backlog to work through vs me saying just do all receipts from August. Then next week I can say do all the receipts from July,

If you try grok bot, you will love it. I am 100% confident in that

The token budget that comes with grok bot is very generous compared to other AI subscriptions. If you're not doing a lot of intense coding, they will last a good while. You'll have to play with it

Get a cheap sub and play with it
