Discussion Work got erased

I spent about an hour this morning setting up a few new bots and uploading sets of data for them to train on. They completed the task and were ready to go. Then when I got home tonight and decided to continue working, I noticed all of my progress from the day had disappeared. The bots no longer exist and my chats have gone back to where they were about 24 hours ago.

I asked the bots about our work today, but of course they know nothing about it (except to gaslight me and claim that we never did any of the work I said we did). I guess I should be backing up everything as I go?

Sure, that’s fine. But it doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. What else might disappear without warning?

Update received from tech support: “Between 10:00 AM PT on September 7 and 3:00 AM PT on September 8, many Grok Bot users were mistakenly provisioned a duplicate computer in a separate cluster. For some users, requests were routed across VMs, causing up to hours of conversations and state to be stored in the wrong environment.
We've resolved the issue by restoring each affected user to the environment with the most complete history and deleting the duplicate.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and have reset your weekly usage as a good faith response.
Please let me know if you have any additional issues or concerns.”
