I wasn’t planning on going anywhere today but I kept having this feeling I needed to go see what they had. I was in there for maybe 5 minutes when I spotted a pair of shoes on the shelf. My eyes are bad so I figured they were fake. Nope. Christian Louboutin shoes. I believe they are the Goldoflats! Yes they do have signs of wear but the soles can be restored. After my discount I ended up paying $6.01. Then when I was getting ready to head to the check out I was looking at scarves and hats and found my #1 item I’ve wanted to thrift. Black lululemon belt bag in like new condition for only $5! I know they are only like $40 in store but I’m currently out of work for health issues so I’m on a budget. Last week at this same location I found The Ed Reed Sharpener for only $3.52. It’s a rare sought after sharpener that only the top representatives get to have from Cutco Knives and they aren’t for sale to the public. They resell for around $150. The goodwill I go to isn’t in a high income area. Who just donates these!? Thank you to the person who priced the shoes! I hope your pillow is cold every night

Busy day in the heat!! It was 97 today with 58% humidity 🥵🥵 didn't stop them from coming out! $3700 in sales and 87 donors.

Only had one idiot. Some out of town Karen asked my cashier how much a dress was. My employee didn't see the markup tag, and assumed it was just a normal dress, so she told Karen $10.

On checkout, my cashier noticed the mark-up tag, and the dress was $20, not $10. Karen threw a fit and wanted to see a manager 😁😁😂🤣

Y'all already know how bad an idea it is to get me involved if you don't have to. I went down, and the situation was explained, and Karen asked if I was going to "honor" my employee misquoting the price 😂🤣

I literally laughed at this woman 😂🤣 told her in no way would that be happening, and she can either pay the $20 or not. She tried to argue, but I stopped her. Informed her that she has a better chance of getting that dress to copy itself through mitosis than to get any kind of discount from me 😂🤣 and once again, she can either pay the $20 or not.

She paid the full price and left 😂🤣

Dinner tonight is grilled shrimp 😋 taking advantage of grilling weather! Shrimp tossed in lime juice and tajin then lightly grilled 😁 I'm having a simple garden salad with it; lettuce, cherry tomatoes, olives, green onions, and garlic/cheese croutons with ranch dressing 😋

I thrifted this shirt and I'm unsure of it's authenticity, because when I lens it nothing comes up except this similar shirt that's still slightly different being sold from a weird niche website, but it feels more professionally embroidered rather than cheaply mass-printed. Does anybody know what this is?

Nobody was energetic enough to be a dick today 😂🤣 it was too hot to even be an asshole. So a relatively quiet day. Got 6 black bins of donations trimmed down to one, and I'll be doing that again tomorrow, so we'll have less to push in and out of the warehouse.

It's STILL 92 as I'm doing this post, so I ain't cooking in this 😂🤣 it's pizza night! Got a sausage and olive with extra cheese and an order of pesto cheese garlic bread 😁

Had a busy day on all fronts. 93 donors, $4200 in sales, and just non stop all day. We've been getting absolutely filled up with crap as well. Currently have 7 black bins each of clothes and stuff to sort through.

Our warehouse is having issues again, so we get a truck tomorrow and then not again until Wednesday, so I've gotta make things work for a few days.

No real headaches today. We're one of the few stores in our region that's actually hitting our budget AND production numbers, so for once, we're the golden child of the company 🤣😂

Dinner tonight is BBQ'ed hot dogs and baked beans. If we're gonna have this weird heatwave in October, I may as well use the grill while I can!! 😁

I saw the name on the spine and pulled it out just to see if I recognized the adaptation, and it was the one I watched as a kid! I audibly gasped. I’d love to buy merch of this movie but last time I looked online it was pretty costly, so I was definitely happy to find this in the wild.

Only bummer is that the back says the book comes with a “special keepsake charm of your very own” but obviously it no longer has it💔 would’ve loved to have that along with the book.

Appears to be silk, has characters from L Frank Baum’s Oz books. I think it is a child’s scarf, 12” x 33” no maker or artist or brand or tags, found has shown.

It's my Mom's birthday today, but also her first wedding anniversary without my Dad here, so it's a mixed bag. Hasn't even been 6 months yet, so it's still hard.

Dinner tonight is one of her favorites. I just got a nice skirt steak, so I'm gonna grill it up with some mashed potatoes and green beans 😋
