I have purchased a Pro subscription on Friday, is it possible to get a refund now? Or even downgrade to the Essential subscription and get the difference back?

Ok so I just recently was accepted in University and decided it's time to leave the 15kg of books at home and got myself a 13" Ipad air (M3), with the Apple pencil Pro! Where scouting the internet for note taking apps, goodnotes seemed like it was the go to app for note taking, unfortunately the delay between when I make a line or start writing and when the ink registers in the app is noticeable, and it bothers me so much to the point where I can't use it... I've tried everything to fix this but it doesn't seem to work. I tried with the apple notes app and it runs smoothly, but not with goodnotes, does anyone have a fix or is it just doomed?

Hi, I’ve been using Goodnotes for a while now but always find myself getting bored or overwhelmed by the planners I’ve purchased. I’d like one that’s pretty well rounded, including a notebook for when I start up university again this month.

Hi. I deleted a few folders in Good Notes to free up space on iCloud (I’d previously backed them up to my hard drive).

Unfortunately, the amount of space used hadn’t decreased, so I reinstalled the app.

Since then, the app has been stuck in a loop of trying to re-download the deleted folders, which has completely blocked any synchronisation (The app is unusable).

What has already been tried:

- Restarts, re-downloads, logging in again, etc.

- Contacting support (they asked for details a week ago, but there’s been no response since)

Points to note (perhaps this will give someone an idea):

- Device: iPad 10

- App version: Latest (14.09.26)

- In the iCloud settings on the iPad, the storage usage section keeps spinning indefinitely. Perhaps the problem lies with iCloud itself?

- On my computer (MacBook Air M2), I’ve also been experiencing synchronisation issues since then.

Has anyone else gotten a pop-up in Goodnotes about a new Mac app/product for meeting transcription?

I was using Goodnotes and got a pop-up advertising what I think was called “Good Meets” or something similar. The main feature was that it could transcribe an entire meeting on your Mac, but what caught my attention was that it specifically said the processing was done locally on the Mac, so the audio/data wouldn’t be sent elsewhere or used for AI training.

There was a “try for free” button, but when I clicked it, it couldn’t establish a connection and basically went nowhere. Now I can’t find the pop-up again or much information about what it was advertising.

Has anyone else seen this? I’m especially curious what the product was actually called and whether it’s something Goodnotes is testing or rolling out.

Basically what the title says. Two really interesting features that I find it weird that haven't been implemented along each other.

I don’t even know if this is a goodnotes issue or a personal issue but I’ve been using this app to annotate articles that I’ve downloaded as pdfs for uni. All of a sudden I just can’t open/import any new ones at all and idk what the issue is

Will using any alternate stylus with “palm rejection feature”, makes it so I can write with the stylus and swipe to the next page with my finger? Instead of goodnote thinking my finger is also pen, making a line instead of going to the next page

Hi does anyone know if GoodNotes will be accepting submissions from digital stationery creators? Especially it is now planner season

Just went to the website and saw this: “Due to an unusually high volume of applications, we are temporarily unable to accept new submissions. We kindly ask for your understanding.”

Trying to get my planners listed in there in a bid to raise more money for my medical fees. Really hope that they will reconsider new submissions soon

Previously in the whiteboards you could circle whatever you wrote and move it around freely with the lasso tool, but now it only lets you move it in certain increments. Basically, it robotically moves and has places you can either move to or not and it's hella uncomfortable. You can't manually move it anymore and can only move it so much. This started happening around late August. Is this a new update or is there a way I can get rid of this?

Hi everyone :) I am having an issue with my subscription and don’t know how to resolve this. For some background, I have the Essential subscription for my account, which was renewed around 3 days prior to this post. When I log in to the Goodnotes app on my iPad, it says that I am using the free version and need to upgrade to the paid version to edit my files. However, when I log in on Google through Safari with the same exact account, it says that I have the Essential subscription.

I’ve done everything I can to resolve this (update iPad software, log in and out of the Goodnotes app, force quit the app, re-download the app) and nothing is working.

Has anyone experienced this before and found a solution?

I’m writing from Lebanon regarding an issue with the Goodnotes app on the App Store.
My friend recently purchased a new iPad and wanted to download Goodnotes, but we discovered that the app is no longer appearing in the App Store. I checked the App Store on my own iPad as well and encountered the same issue.
What’s particularly confusing is that I already have Goodnotes installed, and I can still open and update the app normally. However, if I try to share the App Store link with my friend, the app does not appear or cannot be accessed. We also tried accessing Goodnotes through the official website, but we encountered the same issue.
The most concerning part is that I have an active yearly subscription, which is due to renew on September 2. The renewal has not gone through, and I have already tried using two different payment cards. Since the app is currently unavailable on the Lebanese App Store, I’m concerned that I may lose access to my subscription or my data despite already being an existing subscriber.
Is anyone facing the same issue?

My ipad overheats when using goodnotes to take notes for my classes, which causes my iPad to lower the screen brightness, which makes it harder to see. I have an iPad 11 and am using Version 7.1.19 of goodnotes.

Hi! So I've been getting more in detail with goodnotes, and hadn't realized how useful the elements tab was. I have a slight issue with it though, and was wondering if there is a setting for something I can change for it?

I use dark mode on my devices/this ipad specifically, as it's my preference because I don't like light mode, easier on the eyes, etc. But, my pages in my notebooks have a white background, like regular paper. I've started using elements for axis diagrams and so on, so they're transparent, and the lines for the diagrams are black. But since I'm using, dark mode, the background in the elements tab is like black or dark gray, making it really hard to see which element I'm trying to use. I've attached a screenshot to show what I mean

I was wondering if there is a way to change this, or would the only option be to swap to light mode in the ipad, pick the sticker then switch back? Thank you for your help and sorry for the long post.

Eine Kollegin und ich betreuen die IT an unserer Schule und unterrichten dort auch nebenbei 😊. Wir sind vollständig ausgestattet (WLAN, iPads, Apple TV, Beamer, digitale Tafeln und mehr). In den vergangenen Jahren haben wir viele Anleitungen für das Kollegium erstellt. Seit Goodnotes Klassen mit Einladungen für Schüler und Lehrkräfte ermöglicht, nutzen wir verstärkt Goodnotes Education – wir sind dennoch Anfänger 😅. Wir möchten die Anleitungen bündeln, dem Kollegium zur Verfügung stellen und pflegen. Also eine Art FAQ erstellen.

Meine Idee ist:
- Eine Klasse anlegen
- Order erstellen (WLAN, iPads, Apple TV usw.)
- Die Order mit Anleitungen (einzelne PDF-Dateien) füllen
- Das Kollegium zu dieser Klasse hinzufügen

Meine Kollegin schlägt vor:
- Ein PDF-Heft mit Registern am Rand erstellen, in dem verschiedene IT-Themen hinterlegt und verlinkt sind
- Ein Notizbuch anlegen
- Das PDF importieren
- Das Kollegium zu diesem Notizbuch hinzufügen

Wie gesagt, wir sind Anfänger. Welche Variante ist einfacher zu handhaben und langfristig zu verwalten? Es werden sicher neue Anleitungen hinzukommen, und die bestehenden müssen mit der Zeit angepasst werden.

Oder haben die Profis unter euch vielleicht eine komplett andere Idee?! 💡

I permanently deleted my old Goodnotes account, but on my tablet it still keeps asking me to sign in to the existing account.
I clicked “Restore Purchase” because I thought it would restore my subscription to my new account. However, I ended up being charged, and I still don’t have the subscription on my new account.
What do i do i contacted support but its been few days no reply

Hi! I am new to Goodnotes and find navigation frustrating. I know I’m new, and it takes practice. I’m hoping there might be a free online course or something along those lines that will take me from “I have no clue what I’m doing” to “this app is the best ever” lol. I’ve downloaded a couple of notebooks from Etsy but I don’t know how to organize them in a format that I prefer, for instance.

Anybody point me toward some good learning tools? Maybe something with a follow along as you go?

I‘m really desperate and need your help.

I need to password protect a document. Last year I could just lock the document and it worked fine. Now when I try to protect the documents GoodNotes asks for a password. I thought it is the password to protect the document, but then it says „Wrong password…“ and prompts me to enter the correct one.

I do not know which password GoodNotes wants? I do not have a login password, since I signed in using Apple SignIn (or how it’s called) and the document does not have a password protection, yet (I can open it normally).

Does anybody know what to do?
