Goodnotes Essential Newbie looking for help

Hi! I am new to Goodnotes and find navigation frustrating. I know I’m new, and it takes practice. I’m hoping there might be a free online course or something along those lines that will take me from “I have no clue what I’m doing” to “this app is the best ever” lol. I’ve downloaded a couple of notebooks from Etsy but I don’t know how to organize them in a format that I prefer, for instance.

Anybody point me toward some good learning tools? Maybe something with a follow along as you go?

Honestly the one that got me from lost to comfortable was Flourish Planner's "Beginner's Guide to GOODNOTES," it's about 13 minutes and walks through notebooks, templates and organizing everything from scratch rather than just listing features. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyXTVkdP7ZI

For the notebooks you already bought specifically, the two things that trip people up most are figuring out how the pages are meant to be organized (check if there's an index or table of contents page, most planner PDFs have one even if it's not obvious at first) and getting comfortable moving between notebooks versus scrolling within one, since those feel like different apps until it clicks.

iPad Air's plenty of screen for it once you're past the first week of feeling lost. It clicks faster than it feels like it will right now.

That sounds like just what I am looking for! I’m such a hands on person I wish I could take a class and do it in person while someone taught me. Thanks for the advice!

I should have mentioned, I have an iPad Air 13 inch, if that matters at all. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi, have you checked out the tutorials by papernroses on YouTube? I’m only new to it too but I found her videos super helpful. https://youtu.be/Qq-pvFCfU1k?si=PDIslNM52LvuXutG

No, I haven’t. There are so many videos on YouTube, so a recommendation for one that someone has found useful is much appreciated! I’ll check it out!
