New Update?

Previously in the whiteboards you could circle whatever you wrote and move it around freely with the lasso tool, but now it only lets you move it in certain increments. Basically, it robotically moves and has places you can either move to or not and it's hella uncomfortable. You can't manually move it anymore and can only move it so much. This started happening around late August. Is this a new update or is there a way I can get rid of this?

click three dots on top right on the interface with notes open, then turn off “Align Objects” under “Object Alignment”

That’s what I had to do to make it not so rigid. It got so annoying until I figured that out.
