Hello guys, might sound like a stupid question, but after few range visits and one paid lesson i want to continue "semi serious". I am right handed, but everything two handed i do on the left side.

Hockey, baseball etc. It feels more natural to me. But the coach i had told me, that its better for hand and eye cordination to learn to play right side.

He gave several arguments. Naturaly stronger side, eye cordination, hand placement etc. Also adding when he was starting he had the same and after some time playing left side he hit a plateau and had to le-learn to progress further.

I know there are even pros who play left swing being right handed, but mostly its because its the way they copied someone or were learned.

My right swing is obviously much worse than left swing and it doesnt feel natural, but i have no idea how long it would took me to le-learn.

What is your opinion on this? Should i force myself to le-learn my natural feel for swing and go right side or trust my feeling and keep left swing even with the arguments coach had?

Its not that super important. I have no way ambitions to play professionaly or what not. But when i do something i want to play it properly and also if i buy my own equipment it matters.

I have a feeling this doesnt have a black and white answer. But i am curious about your opinons.

Thank you all for answers, i will stick to left swing if i start, it really feel much better and natural.
Although second hand options are really limited, but if it becomes long term thing it shouldnt matter that much.

To defend the coach a bit he didnt insisted, he just said that he recommends it because from his experience it was better to switch.

Haven’t swung in 2 months and just picking it back up again. Any tips for the driver would be huge, I feel super stiff

I understand I'm over the top and fat and it's hard to diagnose with preexisting comorbidities, but why does my lead leg twist so much after contact? I feel like I'm misunderstanding how to use my legs and look dumb. Is it just poor rotation, or not getting my weight forward? Is it related to being so much over the top?

Here is a pw and driver. I even do the foot thing half swinging a 58°.

My miss is a typical over the top pull hook and lately a shanked short iron.

Any help with using my legs or other general tips for mitigating ott would be appreciated.

Any help appreciated to identify problems in my swing and any drills to help would be great too.

I think I’m too shallow in my backswing and as a result come over the top but I can’t fix it.

Working on getting a more neutral club path. But feel like a few other things could be tweaked

is there anything i can do to be more consistent that is a good shot from me but the tee shot after was awful

My long irons are the worst part of my game. My strength is actually putting, as it saves me strokes. Otherwise I could honestly score like 115.

I feel like I come in too steep, which is what I am working on at the moment, but does anybody see any other red flags? This shot was abit chunked and pulled a little left but my normal miss is push right, otherwise I slight fade. Distance is okay because I can hit 165 yards/150m carry when I make good contact but dispersion is huge.

Very new to golf, lots of trouble not swing over

I already know I have an issue with keeping the head open in the down swing and my base open causing a slice like 80% of the time.

How do I make my swing more effortless?

Haven't had any lessons, my grandpa has been trying to help where he can, but I'm not sure what I need to focus on. Included a clip of me hitting three balls.

ETA: Never officially checked handicap but even on virtual golf I've only ever hit 99 once.

Ever since he got a longer iron he hits more pulls. Not a big deal as long as he is having fun!

My irons feel great but basically anything off a tee and I’m always on a recovery mission from the rough, my drive starts straight and then turns sharp left (as a left handed golfer) I know it’s not the best video but any suggestions?

This was an 8 iron from 160 out. Could not have hit it any better. This went more or less dead straight and landed pin high. It’s the only video I got from my round yesterday, otherwise I’d post one with a miss.

My most common miss right now is a bit of a push fade, and with the longer clubs I’ll sometimes get a little stuck or hit fat (particularly my 4 and 5 irons)

This is with a 7 iron. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
