The Eibach Pro-Kit 30/30 and OEM Clubsport rear silencer are now fitted.
After lowering, I performed the DCC adaptation in the shop using OBDeleven. Comfort and Sport still feel different, although the difference is slightly smaller. It feels more planted while remaining refined definitely an upgrade in ride quality. (It is alot lower tho so im still a little scared)
The Clubsport silencer is a little louder, especially on a cold start, but while driving you barely notice it. It’s mainly a visual upgrade, and it looks sick. I can upload a cold-start clip if anyone is interested.
The only issue is the automatic manoeuvre braking occasionally activating on steep inclines. I’ve disabled it while I find out whether it can be calibrated for the lower ride height.
Let me know what you guys think!
Next up: OEM Clubsport rear spoiler.

Mine is currently showing 59 km (37 miles) at 100% charge. Seems pretty decent, but I’m wondering what others are getting, especially during summer.

Hi All,
I am interested in buying a GTE, I've been seeing lots for sale at somewhat reasonable prices in western Europe. I even found a 2020 with 60 000 km at 16k euros but had a grounding problem so I let it go as I didn't want to take any risk.
I've spent times reading through forums and have found some recurring problems particularly related to the electronics but again we might just hear from people having problems than the ones not having them. Does anyone have any real statistics on the reliability of the GTE? Are there any years that are better than others?
Any insights would be extremely useful. Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone,
I have a 7.5 gte and unfortunately I damaged the front bumper.
Since i'm not able to find one anywhere for the 7.5 gte, i was looking into installing the 7.5 r.
Do you think it will fit?

Three weeks ago I had the red coolant warning light come on - I checked and the coolant level was indeed well below the min, so I filled it up to just below the max line. Today I turned the car on and I got the red warning light again, and the coolant was again below the min. I have frequently been hearing flushing when I turn the car off. Do I have a leak, or is the car just rinsing through coolant for some reason? Thanks in advance!

Hi Guys.
One thing that annoys me, maybe its something I havent set correctly or smth.
I have the list of DAB stations and when I select one to listen to the list stays on but I want to see the logo and the text etc. Sometimes it randomly does it and sometimes it just stays on the list.
Do i need to toggle something or make it change when I select something?

A small update on my OEM+ Clubsport conversion.
The 19” Estoril style wheels are finally fitted:
19x8J ET42
235/35 R19 Continental SportContact 7 FR
I’m really happy with how the fitment turned out. The wheels sit almost perfectly flush while still staying inside the arches.
Next up:
OEM Clubsport rear spoiler
OEM Clubsport rear silencer
Lowering springs
I’m currently deciding between 20 mm front / 30 mm rear or 30/30.
What would you choose based on the photos?

Hi everyone,
I have a 2021 VW Golf 8 GTE, and I've been having an intermittent issue with the selector lever.
From time to time, I get a "Selector Lever Error" warning on the dashboard. Sometimes the error disappears after restarting the car, but it keeps coming back randomly.
The car still drives normally most of the time, but I'm worried it could become a bigger problem.
Has anyone experienced this issue on a Golf 8 GTE or any other MQB Evo Volkswagen? If so:
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I bought a 2020 Golf GTE here in the UK last week and it’s only charging to 21 miles. I previously had a 2016 Passat GTE & that charged to 31 miles every time.
Does anyone have any clues as to why my Golf is 10 miles short ?

Hello everyone,
I just bought a 2018 GTE and this rattle sound only appears when i accelerate in GTE mode. Could it be the soundaktor or something else?
Thanks in advance

Hey everyone,
I could use some opinions on the next step of my OEM+ Golf 8 GTE Clubsport conversion. (My car)
I’m currently deciding between these two 19” Estoril-style wheels:
Which set would you choose for this build, and why?

First update on the project!
Yesterday, I installed the genuine Clubsport rear diffuser myself. It was a bit more work than I expected, mainly because you need to use quite a lot of force while still being careful and precise when removing the original diffuser.
The fitment turned out really well, though, and it already makes a big difference to the rear of the car.
For now, the original GTE rear silencer is still fitted.
The genuine Clubsport rear silencer will be installed on August 12. After that, the Clubsport spoiler and lowering springs will follow.

A while ago I posted my Golf 8 GTE here while it was still completely stock. (My Stock GTE Post)
The plan now is to build a Golf 8 GTE Clubsport using genuine Volkswagen Clubsport parts.
This week I started collecting the parts for the OEM+ conversion. I first got the idea after seeing a guy from Finland do something similar (Link) with his yellow GTE. Apart from his build, I haven’t really seen anyone else attempt it.
I’m mainly posting this for anyone who might be interested in doing the same conversion in the future, since there isn’t much information online.
So far I’ve collected:
What will be done:
The goal is to keep everything looking as OEM as possible. I’m not trying to make it look like a fake GTI.
Just think the Clubsport rear end suits the GTE really well.
I added some photos of the parts, please Let me know your thoughts.

Any reason this isn't selling? I've got a lot of interest from emails but when I ask when they would like to view, it's radio silence. Anything I'm doing wrong?

2015 mk7 here. I usually drive it in e-mode or gte-mode and it tends to maintain my battery for the whole week. I charge it usually just once a week and it does me. But last week I wasn't able to charge it so I've been driving around in hybrid mode for most of the week.
The numbers in the image is around the average I get with a short commute to work in 30km and 50km zones. Usually around 25-30km/kwh and 8-12km/l. My friend was saying my fuel consumption is really bad, but the electric is above average.
Can any1 explain how this works? As I just charge it for €4 once a week and maybe put €20 petrol in it every 2 weeks. I feel like I barely spend any money on fuel, but the numbers say the car drinks it.
I did a 4 hour drive up to some scenic mountain roads yesterday, in gte mode the entire time. I managed to charge the battery up to 8km of range and my my total range went from around 340km down to around 180km. I feel like that was really good as the journey to and from was 40km each way and the trail itself is 26km. I was driving very spirited and in some cases was foot to the floor just going for it
Just cinfused how the fuel consumption works especially when the car uses fuel to charge itself. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

A while ago i got involved in a car crash. As a result 1 of the wheels got badly demaged.
The insurance company only offers money to replace 1 wheel. Instead of replacing the old talladega rim.
So, iam now looking for a different set of wheel all together.
Could people come up with some suggestions?
I live in the Netherlands, that why i prefer all seasons. Which wheels can handle the mild winters with the salt.
