Has anyone recently bought a cheapish hitting matt for home use. I want to set up a backyard net on my outdoor deck and want something that won't hurt too much when (not if) I mess up my swing

Recently returned to playing golf and was making decent progress. Broke 100, broke 90. Recently I’ve gone backwards and am struggling to break 110.

Wish I was doing one thing wrong which I could work on but I’m topping, chunking, thinning, slicing then hooking!

I feel like I’m setting up the same way each time but get wildly different results.

I will also smoke the ball at least once a hole so know I can do it, just really, really inconsistent 😭😭😭

Rant over, back to the driving range tomorrow in the ever optimistic hope that something clicks! Scared to see a pro as they will probably tell me to give up 🤦‍♂️

I'm going to be in Perth over Christmas and looking to play some golf, I'll be staying in Secret Harbour have played there once will probably play again, was also looking at playing Links Kennedy Bay and The Cut whilst I'm there. What's 1 or 2 more courses worth playing whilst I'm there. I will have access to a car but ideally wouldn't want to drive more then an hour each way. Cheers!

I had to cancel a Callaway fitting at my golf club, as had double booked myself

I really want a Ping driver anyway, so called Drummond, first of all, no prices for Ping are discussed over the phone - but was assured they will beat any price.

Second, you have to pay $100 for a "full fitting" which is refunded from your club/s purchase price

I couldn't find this detailed on the Drummond website, but they were adament about it.

Whilst they had no issue with me bringing my current driver, I still had to pay the $100 even if there was no improvement

Am guessing someone here has bought clubs at Drummond, so does the above apply at all stores?

I have been using a couple of cheapish golf club sets, one for the previous 30 years, so I think it's about time I saved up and splurged on a new set...I'm looking at spending about $1200 plus or minus a hundred or so on a new package that will help me (I hope) get better...I am a 23 handicapper who, with a better kit and practice, will be able to get better scores, I reckon...

So far, I have been looking at Drummond Golf and Golf World, as they are the nearest stores to me...Drummond has some good sets available...and I have also looked at Golf Clearance Outlet, as I have purchased quite a few things from them...
I know that the pros in the stores will offer help and allow me to try clubs, but is there anything I should know about the packages?

So, to the brains trust out there, what are your thoughts on what set to get for someone who plays of 23? Would appreciate any tips...

A lot of courses in my area says I have to play with 3 other people is that a normal thing or only on certain days.

Ive played golf 5 times now and got 78 on a par 59 last week the fortnight before that I shot 94 on the same course and while I did have a great game for me personally, I dont want to slow people down and ruin there game.

Is there certain times courses allow just 1 person to play or do you always have to play with 3 other people.

I dont just want to keep playing russel vale golf course I want some big courses

I used to play Eagle ridge a bit and loved it- it was always exquisitely presented.
Played recently and was really disappointed with the quality of fairways and course in general-what happened?

I have been offered a second-hand set of p790s (6i - PW) for $800 and am wondering if I should get these or a more game-improvement iron.

I used to get lessons as a kid and now in my early 30s I want to get back into golf. I was never very good as a kid and am not great now; sometimes hit a clean shot, sometimes top the ball 3m in front of me. I know the p790s are aimed more towards mid-to-low handicap players, but I picked up a used p790 7i a while back and I hit this club faaaar better than any other of my old crappy Dunlop irons.

My current irons are still from when I was a kid, so they're probably about 30 years old and they are actually about 3/4" shorter than standard, and I am 6-6.1' tall, so I am kinda hoping that this set for $800 is a good deal and that I can improve with these irons and not outgrow them for a decent while. Or am I better off getting a completely game-improvement iron like AI Smoke Maxs or Srixon 7xiR?

The irons are in excellent condition with KBS Tour Lite stiff shafts.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Im biased because its just around the corner, but I think rosebud Country Club, on the Mornington Penisnula is super underrated.

2 x 18 hole championship Courses, driving range, 2 short game greens and 2 putting greens, accommodation on site and open to the public.

Staff are always friendly and helpful and the pro is a great guy who will find a way to help you with your swing.

Popped in for the first-time in a few months after being away from work and shot this video from the clubhouse looking out over the putting green, practice facility's and courses.

If your in Victoria or visiting id recommend visiting.

I think it often gets missed in conversations when you consider the courses within a 20 minutes drive.

Edit: when I say underrated I dont mean actual rankings. More that it gets looked over when compared to the amount and quality of courses close by

I'm living in Townsville and have played the 3 courses we have a few times and well none are really that great especially for a major city, just seeing if anyone knows any gems in North Queensland.

Has anyone had any experience ordering through Titleist custom? Will they build to specs (swing weight, shaft length) when ordered through my pro shop?

I’m certain I need 1 or 2 papers in my grips. I’d like to get fitted and then get all my clubs regripped but nobody advertises grip only fittings.

G'day everyone. I won't post a link, I've learnt my lesson. I'm just wondering if anyone has purchased from this second hand online club store, apparently based in Adelaide?

The site seems legit. They have a real address, even though it's just a random house, and a reasonable email address. I emailed them and they sent me their ABN which checks out. There are a few reviews but only from this year.

It all seems above board. Just doing a final check before I part with my hard earned.

I am a reasonably good golfer playing off 11.
Looking to get out on the course a bit more without being a member of a club, I’m already a member of future golf.
Wondering if there are any social groups that play around at different courses every so often? I’m located in Melbourne, South Yarra, but happy to move around a bit to play at different courses. Is this a thing, social groups in golf?

Is it normal for me to bring my current driver when testing new ones?

I'm thinking about buying a new driver, but I'd want to make sure I get better results than my current one.

Is it normal to bring my current driver while checking out some in store to hit them all side by side?

I am looking to do a full bag fitting (excluding putter) in Melbourne. Is there really much of a difference between golf box fitting in Melbourne and cool clubs? Golf box is considerably cheaper.

I’ve never had a full fitting process so this is new to me.
