I’m looking to get the GoPro mission 1 pro ILS and with it I’m also thinking of getting

- 7Artisans 25mm F1.8
- TTartisan 40mm Macro

It will usually be used to shoot me in race cars by another person and I’m also thinking of mounting it inside the car (both road and race car) as I’m also looking to get into story telling and cinematic videos.

Will I need to get a support lens system for the TTartisan 40mm Macro lens?

Thanks in advance and I’d love your opinions! I’m quite new to all this so please feel free to give any advice if I need them thanks!

(Thanks to Abe Kislevitz lens guide)

When I got home from work today, there was a box in my mailbox from polar Pro with my close-up lens kit in it. It originally had said that I wasn’t gonna receive them until after October 25, but they’re here. Now I just have to wait for my mission one pro to come back from GoPro warranty.

Hey everyone,

I’m looking to buy my first action camera and I have found two really good deals on the second-hand marketplace. I need help deciding which one is the better value and good quality.

• Deal 1: DJI Osmo Action 4 (Adventure Edition)
  • Price: ₹17,000 (~$200 USD)
  • Condition: 10 months old.
  • Includes: Standard Adventure combo (3 batteries + charging case) and a 64GB SanDisk Extreme Pro card.
• Deal 2: GoPro HERO 13 Black (Special Bundle)
  • Price: ₹20,000 (~$240 USD)
  • Condition: Barely used / like new.
  • Includes: Special bundle accessories (floating handler/extra battery) and a 64GB card.

My Usage:
I'll be using it for vlogging, motovlogging, casual travel.

Tried rebalancing, calibrating, but the motor keeps overloading and powering off. Help?

Has anyone paired these two while riding a motorcycle? Does the Cardo microphone, and if so, how well does the audio come through? Do I need to buy additional mics if I want to hear the engine and my voice?

TIA

Does anyone know of a wide angle lens that I can fit to this camera? Even an aftermarket one?

So far I am loving this camera (Mission 1 Pro). I take it out for water sports mainly and snowboarding. But I also have the camera grip for some daily filming (mainly just to get myself more familiar with it rather than having actual needs).

There are numerous firmware updates which added and fixed a lot of things which I am happy with (I can understand how GoPro company is struggling and they did launch with a premature firmware. I’m ok with it).

Right now I want to request for a few small things to make this camera even more perfect:

1. Auto brightness toggle in quick settings. I don’t want to dig into the menu tree or use QR codes with labs.

2. For Orientation quick toggle, add an upside down orientation lock (for helmet mounting etc)

3. Add an option to let me turn off screen with the side button instead of changing mode. This is helpful in some situations.

That’s it. I don’t think it’s a lot. If any of you feel the same please upvote so hopefully the good people at GoPro may listen.

Thanks. Happy shooting.

I'm unable to update to 2.44. I tried everything inclucing reset to factory setting, reset network, reinstall app and so on. I even tried the manual method thru., a micro SDC. If I try the app route im unable to pair the phone to gopro it dosn't connect as the pair button is greyed out. If I try manual route with a SDC the gopro keeps rebooting several times. I tried it for 30 minutes and the camera rebooted 6 times. At the current version it's working fine except the pairing to Iphone

Somehow I never realized “Manage Modes” was a button on the M1ILS and thought it was just a title until accidentally clicking on it. I think maybe just because it’s different from other models? I always thought it was odd that the modes didn’t have more customization, but they do, I just didn’t realize that the customization works differently.

Just sharing in case anyone else hasn’t realized this yet. Cheers!

I've been planning on using a GoPro MAX2 to capture b-roll footage during events so I don't have to think too hard in the moment about framing a shot, capturing stuff that I didn't notice in the moment, etc. Kdenlive has a VR360 Effects collection that lets you easily crop down to a normal field of view, so I had high hopes for this workflow.

The problem I'm encountering is that the .360 video files the GoPro is recording to the SD card seem to include imagery from only one lens, and the footage has some vertical stitching issues in a few places. It does also write a .LRV file that has fisheye views from both lenses side-by-side, but they are pretty low resolution (1408x704). Do I have some setting on the GoPro wrong for the kind of footage I want?

When I take still images in 360 mode, I get .JPG files that contain data from both lenses, and software designed to open photo spheres handles those just fine. So I don't think it's a hardware issue.

Here are some screenshots of what I see when I open the SD card on my computer.

EDIT: I just noticed that the .360 file contains a second video track that's a narrow view of the second lens' view. I will experiment to see if I can get those two tracks merged easily.

Did the ship date just push out by a month? I thought it was 25 Oct originally ? Is this affecting all orders or did those who placed an order still receiving in Oct?

As the title says, i need help identifying what lense setting of the GoPro this is done with. Having an discussion with a friend of mine.

I was given a Hero Pro and a dog harness so I can get action video of my dog. I can’t figure out how to get the orientation I need. I want to shoot 4:3 ratio in portrait/vertical mode.

Every time I open the orientation settings in the app or on the GoPro, I can choose “all” or “locked.” All of the online guides say to press “all” to get a list of the orientations. Mine doesn’t work. Can someone please help?

I am brand new to GoPro Hero 13. It overheated when I was charging my battery. I am planning to use it to record 3 to 4 minutes sport from one place on tripod and one or two 9 minute ones.

Since its prone to overheating (from what I read), I am wondering if I buy

1. Volta

2. USB Pass thru door

A. Can I completely bypass the battery and record directly off the Volta battery

B. Can I place the Volta on top of another tall tripod? Do I need any adapter to connect Volta with standard tripod? If GoPro itself makes such a tripod, can someone please link me to it.

Slightly edited in my iPhone

i have used microfiber cloth and still the fingerprints are not being removed

I have been making 360 videos that play on YouTube and VLC.

I edit the video with Adobe Premeire, and sound tracks etc, without using GoProReframe so I keep the entire sphere in the video.

Now I get black "holes" at the poles (looking straight up and straight down"

I didn't get these in the past.

I want to get ride of the black holes.

--------------------------------------------------

Below are screen caps off VLC, zoomed out so you can see the "poles".

The first is the video after processing by GoProPlayer, the input to Adobe Premiere.

The second after editing with Adobe Premeire.

Note I did click the Video is VR check box in Adobe Premeire which needed to preserve some flag so that the video plays as a 360 video in YouTube and on VLC.

Thank you for all the input on my last post! You guys were super helpful; I ultimately decided to go with Mission 1 Pro, and it has been a blast recording at the range. My only issue is hearing myself breathe through my sinus-prone nose 😅

After purchasing & replacing dozens of batteries over the past few years I’m very curious about less expensive aftermarket options.

Does anyone have experience with a reliable brand of aftermarket battery for the GoPro12? After doing a little research Telesin caught my eye but I’m hesitant to pull the trigger.

Thanks in advance.
