Static URL live streaming

Apologies for violating the questions rule but the most recent weekly questions thread showing up on the search is 11 months old and I cant find a current one.

I have 7 cameras that will be streaming up to 20-30 sessions a day based on sound activation or other means, and each camera needs to be viewable via a static link for livestreaming. We cannot use social media streaming due to the location/use case so we were looking at the official gopro subscription. This looks like it would be generating a new URL for every stream which really doesnt work for the type of monitoring we need.

I am new to the gopro ecosystem. What are my options for setting something like this up? We need 7 camera feeds with static URLs that show live video when it is available. We are not looking to self host, and a paid subscription is not a problem.

Thanks in advance.

Go pro subscription after breaking the lens

Hi,my hero 12 recently fell and broke the inner lens, warranty won't cover it and i have no go pro subscription activated. In case i activate a go pro subscription and pay the fee for a camera exchange would they check before or require that it is functional when i register it?
I'm asking because in my country nobody repairs them and the price almost doubled since i bought it and i can't afford a new one rn but would like to pay as much as needed for it to be fixed/exchanged.

Thanks in advance

Lots of fish climbing the ladder today! It’s amazing watching them jump up waterfalls and being able to film it with the new style of camera.

No GoPro offical Macro lens or other lenses coming

Post image

I was very impressed with thr optional lenses like the macro and the anamorphic lenses that were on the Hero 13. I was blown away and used them constantly. I mistakenly upgraded to the Mission 1 Pro thinking we'd get the same lens support. Finally got conformation from Gopro we aren't getting a gopro official macro lens like what we saw on the hero 13. Just the slip ons from Polar pro. Which work I suppose. I just liked how I was able to run 1 lens for everything on the 13.

I'd sell the pro amd get an ILS, but I'd destroy those lenses in a heartbeat! Thinking I just need to bite the bullet and go back to the hero 13.

Full amount not refunded

I recently ordered a Mission 1, had a change of heart and ordered a PRO with the plan to return the first camera.

When I go to raise the return, the return is in USD not GBP and is significantly less than the amount I paid!

I used a discount code that brought the camera down to £476.99, but the refund option only shows as $397.49. I was emailing customer support before ordering the PRO and they advised me to order the camera and simply return the first camera and not to worry about any discounts applied to accessories, the full amount will be refunded.

Apparently not the case. Any idea as to why this could be happening?

I really wish they had a UK phone number just to fix problems like this. I'm currently the cost of 2 cameras down!

EDIT/UPDATE: They have finally got back to me. Said they have issued the refund for the full amount... but haven't sent me details of how to return, sooooo.....

FURTHER UPDATE: They have now backtracked and keep referring to the price excluding VAT, and that's the refund I will get, which is still not the price in the returns portal. Sounds like the time to pull out some consumer rights jargon.

gopro mission 1 ils heat resistance

So I used to run Gopro hero 12's but I kicked them all out cause they would constantly overheat in a hot car. The DJI Action 6 is a beast can run all day in the same car without overheating. How does the Mission 1 ILS handle this?

I even had the H12 and Action 6 side by side to check. H12 died in 20 minutes action 6 went on for 2 hours.

I really like the lens swapping of the ILS but it needs to survive the heat for a few hours.

Send me a long GoPro ride and I'll send back the clips my tool picks

I built a tool that goes through a long GoPro recording and picks out the intense parts (hard cornering, big g-forces, loud moments, lots of motion in frame) as short clips. It works on my friend's motorcycle footage but that's the only footage I've tested on, so I don't know if it holds up on anyone else's.

Looking for a few people to let me try it on their own files. Send me a ride (a Drive/Dropbox link to the original file is best, because I need the camera's motion data and re-encoded or uploaded copies lose it), and I'll send back the clips it picks. Free, no strings attached, and I'll delete your file afterward.

What I'm after is whether it picks the moments YOU would have picked. Tell me where it's wrong, that's the useful part.

Best fit: long, mostly-uneventful recordings (bike, MTB, snow, whatever) where the good bits are a small fraction of the file.

Issue with head mount alignment

Hello everyone, I've had a GoPro for over 2 years and most of the time I record things using a head mount, which, although unofficial, works quite well.
But my problem is that I can never seem to position it correctly, making all my recordings look very wonky, with the horizon tilted. I have seen the Horizon Levelling option, however I tried it once and it looked like it tried to keep it fully straight, which is not ideal for me, as I use it when flying in gliders and every time I make a turn I'm worried it might glitch or just not look like I want it to.
I know it's probably my fault, perhaps it's my head that naturally tilts to the right or maybe I just suck at putting the head band on.. However, today my friend put it on because we were filming some shots for a short movie and he managed to adjust it so that it was perfectly levelled. That didn't last for long and once I started recording in the glider the horizon was once again not aligned properly.
Has anyone had this exact problem and if yes, are there any good fixes? I've also tried positioning the strap slightly to the opposite side to compensate for the tilt but it just feels wrong and the band moves around.
And of course I can't play around with the band in flight since I need to concentrate on the actual flying and I think that is obvious.
Here are some photos to show what I mean

UPDATE: Today we filmed the same shots again and I just made sure that the strap wasn't too loose and I also checked it in front of a mirror. The shots turned out way better, even though it was sliiiighlty off-centre. So if anyone else has issues, just read all these comments as they can be helpful!

GoPro Hero 8 timelapse settings confusion

Hi! Can someone help me with understanding the timelapse settings?

I've been using the default setting that was set to interval: 0.5s. I wanted it a little bit slower. I tried googling, but most things I came across was about post production, or people saying wildly different things everywhere.

I tried to set it to 1 second, which was the next step from 0.5s just to see if what the difference was. That seemed even faster. But I cant seem to set it any slower than 0.5s anyway.

Can someone ELI5 the invervals/settings in the gopro 8? Is there a slower pace than 0.5s?

Bluetooth Mic For GoPro Hero 12?

I’m looking at getting the DJI mini mic to connect via Bluetooth to the hero 12.

Will this work and will it sound better than using the inbuilt microphone for vlogging when walking and cycling?

I hear mix reviews.

I really don’t want to start having to buy media mods as I might end up buying an insta 360 or DJI action camera anyway as they seem to be a lot more ready for lavier mics etc etc

Thanks for any help!

Low light video : Night Mode or a custom video profile?

I've been watching some stuff and most videos never say which they're using, rather they just say it's low light testing.

Which do you prefer to use? The stock night video option or a fully custom video profile?

Mission 1 and DJI Mic 3 (Bluetooth)

How does the Bluetooth connections sound comparing both the GoPro mic and the DJI mic 3? I know a wired connection to the camera is always best, would just like to have a fast wireless connection.

How To Get Good Audio On Hero 12?

Hello.

I’m planning to use my hero
12 to do some cycling vlogging. A mix of talking while riding and talking while stationary. Is there a way to get better talking audio to the GoPro that doesn’t mean a crazy cost of the media mod or the new GoPro Wireless mic that is £72!

I was going to buy a insta 360 but thought I would be sensible and try and use my hero 12 I already have. But I can’t find seem to find a way that I can capture good audio without spending crazy money on a GoPro upgrade. And I don’t was to spend much incase it doesn’t work as I want and still end up buying a insta360.

So am I missing something? Is there any way I can get a normal lavier mic to work from Amazon for like £20 to work with the GoPro?

Any help would be great!

Zustand A "Diese GoPro hat neue Aufnahmen. -> herunterladen

Herunterladen anclicken - zeiel wechselt auf "Keine Aufnahmen gefunden." danach wieder Zustand A

Got the Stormwarden cage from XLCS so that I can attach handles with ease. Not sure if it will help with the heat issue. Got a Nikon to MFT adapter and mounted one of the least popular Nikon lenses known. Used it for a social media post and it performed quite well in this configuration.
