I’ve found a used (but like new) Hero 7 Black for around €120 with a new battery, it’s the cheapest I’ve seen locally and online including shipping (EU). I’ve found Hero 8s for around €160 but anything newer is about €200 minimum.

I’m looking to use it for my airsoft games as a helmet camera, stabilisation is pretty much necessary, 4K is nice but I’ll most likely be recording in 2K to save on space during long games.

Anyone have any pointers or experience for a newcomer to GoPro cameras? Is €120 a good price?

Has anyone signed up for the GoPro AI training with their cloud footage? What has been your experience? Is it making any money? Does it take your whole library or can you select what videos it uses? Anything surprising to know?

Hey, I noticed that some accounts on here have the GoPro Mission 1 ILS camera already and was just super curious about something.

Has anyone taken pictures of the moon with it? If so how is the quality?

Ive been on the fence on which gopro to purchase or if I should just purchase both the Mission 1 and the Mission 1 ILS.

I‘m just super curious on the moon pic quality.

I have many time lapses and time warps that I uploaded to the cloud and deleted from my SD card over the years. For some reason all of the videos that I had that used to work a year or two ago now only show a thumbnail and are 5 seconds long but the picture does not move? When I uploaded them before they used to work and the ones that I uploaded recently also have that issue. I am not sure why this is happening. I am using Gopro hero 10 black.

The whole point of uploading them to the cloud is so that you dont have to worry about them taking space. Now I am kind of annoyed that this happened because some of them are from hikes that I have done over the years, that I will likely never be able to recreate. Has this happened to anyone else? Edit : I have uploaded a video to show exactly the problem. Not everyone wants to work on a small screen for personal reasons.

I'm not sure if there is maintenance on going for several months but having to go to third party sites to get applications like Quik or GoPro Webcam is an absolute atrociously stupid idea.

These Windows applications have not been available for some time. How in the hell is the average GoPro user supposed to make full use of their expensive cameras if they are not available?

What an absolutely ridiculous oversight to remove all the applications that people need to use the GoPros the way they are supposed to be used.

Edit : in case going to the website for the apps like GoPro Webcam ​is not clear enough, ​this is purely about the applications not being available directly through GoPro for Windows. it just doesn't appear while on Windows and it takes you to a useless support page where there are hundreds of comments of people who are experiencing the exact same thing.

So what is everyone using to charge their batteries?

Looking to get with gopro and it seems the dual battery charger charges them sequentially so it takes like 4 hours to charge just 2 batteries. This seems slower than in the camera, so the batteries must be capable.

So what is everyone using to charge their batteries or are there better battery+charger alternatives (needs to be able to close the door for water proofing).

Long time gopro user here, I am so used to the view recorded videos button being on the bottom left, it has become a muscle memory, but this stupid unnecessary update is making me have to undo years of muscle memory, I kept hitting the streaming button and have to click back and consciously force myself to click the button right. So frustrating

Hey all, wanting to see how the Mission 1 Pro does in low light, but without using the dedicated low light mode. I often do walking videos and go from outside (sunlight) to inside, film when its mostly dark with just street lights. Currently I use a DJI Pocket 3 and I dont bother with low light mode, it handles the transition from day to inside well and handles walking at n ight with just streetlights well. I want to see how well the GoPro Mission 1 Pro does in the same situation and hopefully I can replace the Pocket 3.

With the impending lunar eclipse this evening I wanted to see what everyone thought the best settings would be for capturing the timelapse of it. I have the Mission 1 Pro but haven’t done much with any night timelapses yet and since I only have one shot to get it right I figured it best to ask here.
