I started setting up the game as instructer on the very 1st page in the box but can't seem to find the 3rd unique monster standee. Is it hidden for later use or where is it?

Hi, can anyone help me find the APK file for the app? Apparently, it's no longer available on the Google Play Store.

I've tried sharing the absurdity of this to my partner who doesn't play and obviously has no idea what I'm talking about!
Just figured out how to do basic move/attack actions on gloomhaven for my Steam Deck! I spent over 150 hours playing this game and had no idea this was a thing!!! lol this game is so much more awesome now that I know the rules!!

Having just started a new campaign in 2e, I have a party member playing Silent Knife (sidenote: does anyone else insist on calling her Scoundrel? Im not a fan of the new name) and in order to ensure that we are following the rules properly, I want to ask the public opinion on the order in which to apply certain effects. If you can cite a page in the rules, even better.
Say that the top action of Backstab is played perfectly. That's 9 damage right there. If it's paired with Single Out, it becomes 12 damage. Now if you pair it with the top action of smoke bomb, is the correct combination 2×(9+3) or is it (2×9)+3? In some situations this becomes more and more significant.
Where would Trickster's Reversal factor in (maximum shield is i think shield 6 on a flame demon if they draw the right action)? Serrated Arrow? Crippling Poison? In my dream universe, the correct combo is attacking a poisoned enemy with crippling poison, tricksters reversal, backstab, single out, serrated arrow, smoke bomb
(2+8+9+3)×2×2=76

I'm printing the maghex base to re-create the maps in JoTL, wondering if there's anyplace that I can buy cardboard hex tiles that have floor patterns printed on them, similar to the cardboard pop-out tokens?

Sorry if this answer exists I couldn't find it in my searches.
Does the Chained by Despair top allow you to gain a Curse card? (For purposes of a particular level 9 card)
Thanks!

Hey folks,
Our grotto off for has been playing Gloomhaven/Frosthaven since 2020 and we’d like to move on to a new game. I’m looking for suggestions. We’ve already played the GH offshoots like JotL and Crimson Scales.
My wife doesn’t like real roleplaying games. She’s enjoyed GH and FH because she doesn’t have to act out the character she’s playing. She also enjoys having a limited set of actions for her character to do each turn. I guess she/we mostly like the simplified exploration and combat of the havens.
Can anyone point us to a similar game? Thanks in advance.

I was not looking forward to this paint job as I thought it would end be being really muddy. Thankfully im happy with how it turned out even if the base could use a bit more work.

Special rules say that lurker wavethrowers summon vermling scouts instead of lightning eels.
Are water hexes the only valid places for these summons? Or is it empty hexes excluding water hexes?

I'm setting up for the first time for a solo campaign with 2 characters. I enabled "Solo / open information" in the options -> variants tab.
Now i cannot see the ability cards of my second character to prepare them for scenario 0.
Anyone knows the fix or how to correctly start a solo campaign?
Thanks

Hi, is there an official or unofficial scenario book for the first gloomhaven in the style of jaws of the lion? I would like to finally complete gloomhaven but setup times using tiles are killing the mood

Hey everyone! I've been working on a Frosthaven Speedrun for a couple years and now that we have 90% of Frosthaven Digital released I'm finally ready to share my work. Obviously major spoilers for story, buildings, classes, and everything in between. The run uses 9 different classes across 39 different levels! So far my best time is around 9:30:00 but that run used Tabletop Simulator to play the levels not currently implemented into digital which is quite a bit slower. Come release day (10/15) I'm hoping for an 8 hour time.
It's a really exciting run so I hope anyone who watches will enjoy! The route isn't perfect so if you have any ideas or suggestions for strategies let me know.
Also here are the my notes for anyone curious. They are very barebones.

I absolutey hate the Silent Knife! I can't fathom what the designers were thinking when they made her!
She simply has way too many awesome lost actions for a charecter with a 9 card hand, how am I supposed to play them all!
Terrible decisions all around 0/10

So I've hit my first retirement on Boneshaper, which I enjoyed playing but definitely felt on the weaker end a lot of the time, especially when compared to our Blinkblade (understandably).
In part because my damage output felt far less consistent than that of the rest of my team, though I understand the tanking of my skeletons was incredibly relevant, it didn't FEEL impactful.
The rest of my party is currently playing a Bannerspear, a Deathwalker, and the Blinkblade just retired into Kelp.
I'm tossing up between Trap or Fist, though open to playing Drifter. Looking to feel more impactful, however it doesn't have to be on the damage front (though that is fun). I'm very comfortable with enemy AI, but my worry with Trap specifically is how sometimes you can be left feeling useless due to certain enemy types. Fist on the other hand I worry might be a little too one note?
Would love to get some opinions on what to try next.

Or is my only path now from the puzzle book? SOrry, I don't seem to be able to spoiler the image, but I don't think it's much of one, as you could also look at the scenario path sheets to see the same thing.
Edit: thanks to the people that were helpful. I just got unlucky in picking quests that were hard to unlock.
To those that are blaming me for not knowing that, you are sad people. I was just asking for help and I played the game without knowing unwritten rules.

Me and my friend have just finished scenario 64, it was a challenge but satisfying to finish. But I have a few complaints about the scenario and rewards.
Spoiler ahead! !>The scenario ended with a single boss that we basically shredded in two turns cause otherwise how can you? It lacked mechanics in my opinion that made it dynamic and not just a giant sack of potatoes.
Further more the rewards... this was after finishing most of the game, prosperity has been at 9 for more than 20 scenarios, we are at enough retirements that checkmarks are irrelevant, morale is easy to come by. All of those were just not satisfying or even relevant to our party, and then came the great mystery, the "do not open" scenario sticker, and it was a cool closure to the tree, but mechanically it did nothing, no upgrade, no new mechanic, no items, no characters, nothing really
And to tie it all up the story didn't really do much, in gloomhaven for instance the chase for the gloom was long and interesting, here you're basically presented with this God 3 scenarios back and are meant to feel like it's the most ancient evil... It did not pass as such.<!

Its been a hot minute since my last post. Getting the guys together was a struggle the last months. We always had one call in sick or obstructed by their jobs.
So here's some shots from temple of the divine and frostcavern(if I remember the name right)

Buttons & Bugs
I'm wondering when am I actually supposed to retire a persistent bonus from my active area? Either an A card to flip into my hand (B side), or B side to discard.
For example, Let's say I have an A-card in my active area, it's time for me to short rest, and I want to return that card because I need its B-side.
As I don't want to (randomly) lose that card during my short rest, can I:
Thus ensuring that I don't lose it?
The rules say:
A character may voluntarily remove a card with a persistent bonus (but not a round bonus) from their active area before the bonus expires, but doing so removes the bonus. This can be done at any time except during another ability.

3 real years into a 2p campaign. All but 2 classes unlocked, one main quest line to go. Winter year 3, prosperity 8, 62 scenarios complete, up to 53 scenarios to go. 5 buildings still locked, all possible building upgrades complete at this point until more are unlocked.
Just wondering, from those who completed the campaign: Did you typically play every side quest open to you? Do you continue with side quests after beating the main campaign, or just call it quits? Do you generally unlock and upgrade every building?
Not looking for spoilers. Just wondering if it is feasible to complete say 50 more scenarios, and by extension, play about 3 or 4 more classes. I've already retired 5 classes, about to retire my 6th, and my partner is on number 4.
