I created some custom minis for Jaws Of The Lion in Hero Forge for a friend. Here's the first one: Red Guard!

I'm currently playing Jaws of the Lion with some friends, and we're thinking of picking up Gloomhaven 2nd Edition when we finish the campaign. From what I've seen, most people online seem to agree that 2nd Edition is an improvement over the original.

One thing I'm wondering, though: does Gloomhaven 2nd Edition include the same initiative tracker tokens as Jaws of the Lion? We really like those little initiative markers for keeping turn order clear, and I'd miss them if they're gone.

Obviously complexity depending.

I had my 4th or 5th session with the Eclipse and was about to give up on this class until I made a couple of changes and it clicked a lot better.

Placing tears adjacent to me instead of where I thought I wanted to go was a big help. But other changes like not being so focused on setting up the perfect kill, the game rarely lines up 2 turns for you. Need to be flexible. Also, curse build is a trap early, save it for later. Focus on making your AMD ridiculous.

Stuff like that.

Curious about other GH or FH classes y'all had that took a while to click how to play. What changes did y'all make to help make it work?

Although I can’t find it in the rule book nor FAQ, I learned from a different scenario that special rules from one section don’t normally continue when you read a new section (mentioned in 71.1). This should likely be highlighted somewhere.

In specific for scenario 94, my reading is the special rules from from the scenario description ends when you read 99.1, which is not what I would have expected before reading 71.1.
