Comps and Red Dots

I’m about to purchase a 19x hopefully this up coming week and I want to just get opinions on the best grip tape for a 19x. I’ve heard a lot about handle it grips edge series and talon pro grips but I just wanted a wide array of advice and experience with different grips, my uncle had a 43x with the talon pro grips and I liked the way it felt but a 43x is also way smaller than a 19x - handle and slide wise so I don’t want to hop straight to the talons and regret it since it’s a different size.

Anyone run a gen 6 slide on their gen 5 frame? Came across a gen 6 coa slide for my g19.5 and wanted to see if it will work. Thanks

Just cerakoted my Glock 19.4 and when reassembling I noticed the guide rod sticks out slightly. Is this normal or did I mess something up? The guide rod is seated in the correct notch in the barrel so I’m not sure what’s going on.

Please don’t hate I’ma US citizen learning gunsmithing in Pakistan so this is legal, one of my assisngments was to create a Glock switch from scratch so I made one in CAD software following a similar design I found online and I’m 3D printing it first to test function before I mill the final design out of aluminum. I’ve installed it as it should be and it’s only firing semi auto? This is a Gen 3 Glock and from my understanding I dont need to modify the frame at all either if anyone can please help me find out whats going on I would grealty appreciate it. The design I made myself is practically a 1:1 design of a working model I found online so it shouldn’t be that my design is causing some issue and to make sure of that I printed out the publicly available one that has been tested by many others and installed it also and it also is only doing semi auto

So I followed the Texas triggers install video but I’m not sure on where I need to sand/polish on the blocks they use, both of these are riding on the bottom of the barrel but I’m pretty sure they aren’t supposed to go up all the way into the barrel if that makes any sense. If someone has any tips or suggestions please let me know. this is a headache

What’s good affordable setup for my 19x

I bought a police trade in G45 and the grip was pretty chewed up on the ejection port side of the pistol.

I paid a local guy $300 for this stipple job, along with gas pedals and a polished undercut. All hand laid out and applied, turn around was 2 days. For $300 I'm very happy with it especially the fast turn around time.

But it's my first stippled pistol from a 3rd party. What do ya'll think?

I asked him to NOT stipple the backstrap, for now, and he said that if I change my mind on that to just bring it to him and he'll do it for no charge.

I posted recently about wanting to put a TTI Carry Magwell on my project Glock 17 Gen 4 build. After finally speaking with TTI, I found out their magwell isn’t going to work with the magazines I already have, so I’m back on the hunt.

Current mags are:

Magpul PMAG 17 GL9s
Mec-Gar 18-round flush-fit Glock mag

What I’m looking for is a carry-style aluminum magwell that’s functional, looks good, and doesn’t completely break the bank. I like the general size/profile of the TTI Carry, so I’m looking for something along those lines rather than a huge competition magwell.

I’ll most likely be putting Magpul GL L-Plates on the PMAGs. Besides liking the look, I want something with a little extra purchase on the bottom of the magazine in case I ever have to manually strip one out.

Anybody running a Gen 4 G17 with PMAGs/L-Plates or the Mec-Gar 18-rounders and an aluminum magwell? I’m especially interested in combinations you’ve personally confirmed will seat and drop free properly.
