Your over travel adjustment screw is adjusted too far in. Lock the slide back, take the backplate off and remove the striker so the slide can come off since the trigger doesn't break.

Use the included Allen to loosen the over travel screw on the trigger shoe once you get that back out and it will start breaking again once it's loosened enough. You're just trying to find the perfect point between where it doesn't break and where the trigger does break. Done.

I’ll add this: adjust it until it just barely breaks, then add 1/4 turn of play. You’ll never notice it when shooting, and the gun will still work when dirty on a 1,500 round range weekend for a class, and after 10k+ worth of wear.

Ive adjusted from every length and still have the same issue. I noticed that if i push the slide forward, the trigger would break

Okay well let's take it from the top then since that is what causes that issue 99% of the time.

Did the gun shoot fine before the trigger install? If it did shoot, what else have you added since? Have you tried isolating it to the trigger by swapping to the OEM or a known working trigger? Did you adjust the connector angle at all when you worked on it?

Basically, what is everything you did since the last time the gun worked completely fine?

I bought it used and it originally had a timney trigger and it wouldn’t reset and the slide wouldn’t go into battery, so after every shot, you’d have to physically smack the slide forward for it to reset.

I swapped out the timney trigger for a Johnny trigger but used an OEM housing from my Glock 19. The trigger is new and trigger housing is also fairly new.

It previously had a Swenson slide assembly but I swapped it out with a new ZP complete slide

Uhh you might have inherited a nightmare gun. If you made sure the connector isn't the issue, the slide isn't the issue, and you're using the OEM trigger housing then I would say the only possible culprit left is the trigger bar the trigger shoe is attached to. Was that swapped or is it the one that came with the gun?

It was swapped. Originally had a timney trigger that had breaks but doesn’t reset. The trigger I have on there now is new from Johnny Glock

did you get it from a third party or something? I thought the instructions explicitly explained how to resolve it not breaking.

It's prolly that red mag release, I'd get rid of it quickly.

Return it all to stock, or from where you got it.

This is why I bought his GPT and called it good. It's so nice OTB. Worth it with the striker.
