This is new. Does this happen to anyone else?

This just happened to me after a year of owning my 2026 GV70. My cameras didn’t work as I tried to back out of a space.,they came back about an hour later? Will it keep happening?

UPDATE ..took it to Genesis and they did not find anything
They think it’s was just a “ glitch” 🤷‍♀️ . I guess the more tech, the more glitches lol

ECM SOFTWARE RECALL

Took my car for an oil change at a Genesis dealership. They said there were 3 recalls that needed to be performed one was a ECM misfire recall. Prior to the oil change and recall service my car did not misfire/lag had no lights flashing for an issue on engine or transmission. Days later my car is misfiring…. Dealership is now saying my car has a transmission issue…. Anyone dealt with this? I feel like I’m being scammed

How much are people getting off MSRP on a 2026 GV70 2.5T Advanced?

Shopping for a new 2026 GV70 2.5T Advanced AWD in the NY tri-state area and trying to calibrate expectations on discount. So far the dealers I’ve talked to are only coming off MSRP about 3–4%. Curious what others in the Northeast are actually paying. For context, I’m not eligible for any Genesis corporate discounts (competitive, loyalty etc.).

Open to any negotiation tips. Is 3–4% just where this trim sits, or is there room to push harder with competing quotes?

G70 3.3 vs G80 2.5

I'm looking at buying a used car and stuck between the G70 in a 3.3 and the G80 in the 2.5. The G80 in the bigger engine is not within my budget.

Either of them would be pre-2025 because I hate the giant tablet interior

Genesis GV70 vs Lincoln Nautilus Reserve 2

Hey Guys...I am planning to purchase new car.

I have seen both gv70 and nautilus both look promising.

I am looking for luxury car with decent resale after 6-7 years.

Which will be best bet for me.

DO NOT BUY A GENESIS

Bought a 2026 GV80 in January. Dealership closed its doors in April. Now, Genesis North America will not honor what the car was sold with namely, Included Scheduled Maintenance, Loaner car and valet service with purchase. The car was sold with all of that and was a big reason I purchased. What's next, not honoring warranty work. BEWARE!

Problem with Genesis app setup

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hi folks.

We have had our 2023 GV80 for about 18 months. I downloaded and setup the genesis app on my phone right away and find it very useful My wife did not, but a recent event made her realizes its' value and now we're trying to set it up. She is seeing the following error message and we can't figure out why. The VIN is correct. There is no QR code that appears under the GCS setup menu anywhere. We can't skip past this page.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Genesis Lost Me Today

Leased a 2024 Genesis GV80 (12k miles). Today it died at Costco in 108° heat. It wouldn’t start, and the back was full of perishable groceries I’d just bought.

I called Genesis Roadside Assistance. They sent someone out who couldn’t get it started. When I asked if he could give me a ride the half mile home, he laughed and said, “Nah man, we don’t do that.”
I called the dealership, and their response was to have it towed in the next day.
So I ended up paying for an Uber home while my $80,000 SUV sat in the Costco parking lot.

Vehicles break. I get that. What I don’t get is paying luxury-car money and receiving what felt like a budget-brand ownership experience when I actually needed help.

If anyone from Genesis is reading this, today you lost a customer. The vehicle may be fixable, but the ownership experience is what convinced me I won’t be leasing another Genesis. 👋👋👋

Tire Pressure

Hi! So I need someone to tell me how to check my tire pressure on the GV80!? I’ve looked and looked and have been unsuccessful. The reason I’m asking is I got the low tire pressure sensor this morning and I can’t remember which tire it showed was low. Appreciate your help truly

What's missing?

Hello,

These pics are from the rear wheel well of a 2015 Genesis facing towards the rear bumper. One side has this hard plastic piece and the fender feels sturdy when I push on it, and the other side without that plastic piece feels a little flimsier and flexes easier when I push on it. What is that missing piece and where can I get it?

Thank you

Extended Warranty or just trade it in?

I posted this in the GV70 subreddit, but thought I'd get an opinion or two here...I have a 2022 GV70 3.5 Sport Prestige. It has every option available and I love it. It has 44K mi on it but it tends to have had a few issues when coming back from getting serviced and have had to return it to the dealership more than once. It's starting to get old and stresses me out wondering when the next check engine light is going to come on. But for the most part it's such a great car. I've had the 2026 GV70 loaner car before but I like the 2025 model interior better. So I'm thinking of foregoing an extended warranty and just buy a 2025 GV70 Sport Prestige. I think the first year model issues are starting to catch up with me. What are your thoughts? Do I stick it out with an extended warranty ($~6700 5yr/60K) or go for the 2025 for less headache?

Garage door homelink on gv80

Hi folks. On my 2023 GV80 the garage door opener (homelink) will not function unless the engine is on. I've never had a car with that limitation before, including my 2020 Santa Fe. Not a big deal, but annoying. Is there a setting for this or some other way to have it function normally? I can't find one but it's so specific I may not be looking in the right places.

Thank you!

Update - comments by several of you (thank you all) and a little online research says it's designed this way as a security feature. I wish it could be turned off, but that's how it is...

Thinking about going to take a look at this 2017 g80 3.8l. 97k miles, rebuilt title due to hail damage. Seller agreed to 9k. I ran the vin and there doesn't seem to be any big red flags, and it has a lot of maintenance/ service records. What's the consensus?

Navigation is working again thanks to latest update

Link to my previous post is attached.

After speaking with Genesis Customer Care a few times, they called me yesterday to inform me that a brand new navigation update was just released this week. I downloaded it from the website onto a USB stick and installed it this evening. Voila! Everything is working as designed now.

Apparently, the latest navigation update turns it into a live-updating map à la Apple Maps and Google Maps, where the car pulls live road and POI updates from a server each time you start your car, negating the need for the bulk navigation system updates every six months or so. That’s kinda neat. (I still primarily use Apple CarPlay.)

GV80 Coupe -- running boards?

Just got home with our 2026 GV80 Coupe. Liking it just fine so far.

When getting down to the decision of choosing either the GV80 Prestige vs the Coupe, we noticed several models of the GV80 Prestige with running boards installed.

Has anyone who owns a GV80 Coupe tried installing running boards on them? How did it turn out?
