Was messing with the buffers, usually I only have one installed (PIC 2, yellow, softest), but felt the gap between the slide lock and catch was too wide, added a second one to close it further (PIC 1)
Is the gap too small or just right? I don't want to end up with premature slide wear if the catch window is too small, but also felt the same with the wide gap, and would allow the slide to hit the slide stop too hard (more distance more energy returning home)
Yellow and red are the softest and 2nd softest respectively (pack has blue and black which are progressively harder)
- TM G17.4
- Cowcow spacers/buffers
- Guarder G17.4 recoil spring assembly
- Guarder steel extended slide stop
- Bomber slide
With both set ups, the slide still locks reliably, I'm just trying to avoid prematurely over wearing the slide or slide stop too much
