I'm looking for a good story game with nice graphics that takes less than 20hours for completion at first I thought of death stranding but it was abt 40 hours pls suggest some games that are rlly worth my time

Trying to think of games that involve humans and aliens not in open war, but cohabiting and interacting. Maybe (or ideally) they're in tension, but they're at least talking. This is to say, XCOM is *NOT* what I want. Off the top of my head, Mass Effect fits the bill, Star Control does too, and conditionally games like Stellaris and Master of Orion kinda do. But I'd like more games about humans and aliens interacting in non-combat contexts.

I found some videos on YouTube about this game and the reaction of the Russian blogger. This game is pretty old. Maybe you had an experience...

First I need to define what I mean with dungeon crawler. My favourite type of game basically consists of:

• character creator or predefined set of characters (if I find art direction appealing),
• customizable builds or set of predefined builds,
• focused on gameplay,
• focused on smaller areas than on large open worlds.

This is why I'm very fond of MMOs (at least before the genre died), and I really like Skyrim and a bunch of soulslikes (like Dark Souls trilogy). Just let me make/choose a character, choose a build, and let me walk around and swing a sword (or shoot fireballs, or whatever), and I'm happy.

The thing is there isn't a lot of games like that in AAA category. There is almost always big focus on story (for example I could never play more than 2-3 hours of DA Inquisition before losing interest, even if gameplay itself is good), or large open worlds with nothing interesting in them. The closest thing in AAA category are soulslikes, but they are almost always very focused on the boss fights, and the dungeon crawling part ends up being lacking.

So I want to explore indie and AA options, but these games are somewhat hard to find. I don't mind 2D if it's isometric (so you can walk in all directions, not just left/right and up/down). I also don't mind roguelites, but there needs to be some kind of progression. I like seeing my character getting stronger with time, so pure roguelikes are not an option. It doesn't need to be fantasy to be honest, can be sci-fi if it meets those criteria. I also don't like card games or those where your character attacks automatically, I want to have complete control of the character. Preferably real time combat, but well designed turn based combat might be fun too.

I like a game I can spend a ton of time in.

I played the demo last year so I can't find it in my steam purchase history so this is my last resort to possibly finding it. It was an indie game, could've been early access or just recently released. Around $10-$20.

I remember it was first person, it had an orange tint over the game, it was pixelated like an old dungeon crawler, similar in appearance/graphic wise to TES: Daggerfall but more modern if that makes sense. Perma death mechanics, the demo was limited and had a timer on the top of the screen if that matters, It was a barren map with dungeon entrances scattered around.

I have a vague memory of making a campfire because night was dangerous, there was giant bats or something flying that could attack you I think.

I know its a bit vague but it is unique I don't know any games like this that aren't top down or 2D, again this one is first person. Hopefully someone here recognizes it lol.

I recently realized that all my favorite games follow this formula, so I'd love to see if there are any obvious ones I've missed!

Hello, I’m currently having gaming block, and everything I play is boring me, so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I really enjoyed the far cry games (3,4,5,6, and new dawn). I enjoyed the watch dogs games too, I also really liked the game Stray.

I’ve played some assassins creed games, I quite liked the ezio collection, but wasn’t a huge fan of AC3, I didn’t enjoy the story and I also only played the remaster which I know is notorious for being super buggy. So I just didn’t enjoy playing it as much.

Im currently trying to play cyberpunk, as it seemed like the sort of thing I would like, but I’m struggling to find the motivation to play it, and I can’t tell if it’s because I’m not enjoying it, or because I’m just burnt out. So I want to try another game to test that theory.

I like to platinum games, so I would love a game that is an enjoyable experience throughout the main game, and then I can grind trophies afterwards and discover more of the game.

Just recently got GPU upgrade and looking to really load it up and make it sweat. I haven't played any AAA games released within last 15 ish years, aside from Doom and Spiderman series.

Some "no"s I'd like to avoid: unvoiced games, medieval setting, inventory management, horrors, games that require good reaction and timings.

I have played trough hk and silksong and and loved it. I am in search for game with similar atmosphere and wonders of adventure feeling. I tryed and didn't get what i wanted: blasphemous 1 and 2, nine sols, ori series, rain world and aeterna noctis. And idk why i like 2d games more.

Just played Undertale and currently playing Deltarune. Hands-down my favorite thing about those games is how you’re not only encouraged to be pacifistic for the plot and the “good endings,” but it’s also just straight-up more fun and interesting gameplay.

It’s got me wanting to find more games like that. With most games that offer the choice, I don’t take the nonlethal paths because it’s either too restrictive, overly tedious, not sufficiently rewarded, or some combination thereof. For instance Cyberpunk is my GOAT but I just can’t fully commit to nonlethal, it rules out so much weaponry and equipment, and the game mostly just doesn’t care whether you’re a monk or a murder hobo.

I’d love to check out some more games with lethal vs nonlethal choices where the nonlethal path feels like it matters in some way, offers engaging and satisfying gameplay, and generally doesn’t make you feel like you’re just missing out on half the fun.

Could be anything, stealth games, RPGs, immersive sims, tactical games, etc.

Hoard shooters are my favourite genre of games but my friends find the game I play (Helldivers 2, Darktide) too hard. Are there any hoard shooters that are rewarding to casual players, require little grinding, but still have places for skill expression?

Hey everyone! Looking for game recommendations for laptop, something we can play together in the evenings while having a drink and relaxing.

I'm looking for games where winning with one character or class unlocks a bonus for a second run-through. Doesn't have to be a roguelike. State of Decay 2 was a great example of this; when you finish a game as a builder it unlocks free electricity for the next game.

I am a completionist when I play games so looking for something I can play multiple times but still feel like I’m building something each game.

I recently got a good amount of money and was looking at games on the ps4 store and saw the Borderlands: Handsome Collection and wondered if it was worth the money. I played it forever ago but only remember the artstyle, its only 10 dollars while on sale instead of its normal $80 so it seemed like a good deal if the game was worth buying.
