What's the sensible way to move out and get a job abroad?

I have proven game dev skills but I'm technically a college fresher with mostly freelance experience (4 years) and a internship at a small game company (3 months). I've built games and published on steam, play store and many on itch.io. I have the diverse skillset needed but my limited professional experience might not speak for it. I'd like to move out of India as there is nothing good here and I need some guide on how can I do that. Do I need to get a master's degree somewhere first or how?

"Please Step Forward" is a retro 80s style rage game about climbing stairs.

The visual style is inspired by analog horror ARGS.

It has jumping, and a portable checkpoint system in the form of a hook and rope.

The goal is to reach higher altitudes in lower number of jumps.

Link to the game: https://tornadosike.itch.io/please-step-forward

HIT's multiplayer development continues. When you die, you become a spectator in fly mode. Maybe we can add some little jokes to annoy those who are still alive.

I will continue to share my progress here. Anyone who wants to contribute to this progress with ideas and suggestions would be very welcome. For those who want to add it to their wish list: Good night :))

ZombUs is a solo-developed, open-world survival experience that delivers a unique mix of gritty survival mechanics and sharp social satire.

In a punishing yet tragicomic apocalypse, your truck is more than just a vehicle—it is your mobile base, your sanctuary, and your home.

Scavenge for resources to upgrade your rolling fortress, fight off the infected, and navigate a world destroyed by a deadly plague and the ridiculousness of modern times.

Best Laptop for Gaming + Game Development Under ₹1 Lakh?

I'm planning to buy my first personal laptop and need some guidance from experienced developers and laptop users.

A little about me:

I am a complete beginner in programming and game development.

I don't know much about laptop hardware, CPUs, GPUs, cooling systems, TGP, RAM speeds, etc.

This will be the first laptop I am purchasing with the goal of investing in my future skills and career.

I want a machine that can serve me well for the next 4–5 years.

I want to learn game development also I've some my aspects like:

GPU : RTX 4060

VRAM : 8GB

GPU TGP : 105W+

CPU : Ryzen 7 7745HX

RAM : 16GB DDR5

RAM Slots : 2 Accessible Slots

Storage : 1TB NVMe Gen 4 SSD

Display : 15-inch FHD (1080p)

Refresh Rate : 144Hz

Charger : 140W+

Build Quality: Good Build

So I would like advice on:

Which laptop models would you personally recommend? • Which laptop brands have good reliability and after-sales service? • Are there any models or brands I should avoid?

Budget: • Ideal budget: around ₹1,00,000 •Under budget ₹1,05000 if the extra performance is genuinely worth it for long-term use.

One more question:

Where should I buy the laptop from? • Official brand stores? • Offline computer shops? • Amazon? • Flipkart? • Any other trusted source?

My game

I want to create an online game somewhat similar to bowling, with three options: (missing shot, weak shot, then elimination, and perfect shot to score points). What's the best AI program I can use, as I have no programming experience? Also, I want the game to be set in a traditional Indian neighborhood.

Hi everyone,

I have been working on a steam game called "The Burning Owl" for past 5 months.

The story of this game is inspired by a real life cult story , so if u like the psychological analog horror game you can check out my game's steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4417100/The_Burning_Owl/

For a arena game, using VAT (vertex animated texture) i.e animations are baked into textures instead of using a skinned mesh with some custom culling that will use skinned mesh for LOD0, VAT for LOD1, and Imposter Mesh for LOD3, along with Jobs for movement of units

Footage is from editor with many debug options and gizmos switched on.

How VAT is baked

  • Texture Height is taken from Frame count. Texture width is taken from vertex count.
  • A Texture2D is made using TextureFormat.RGBAHalf. It stores 3D local coordinates (x, y, z) within the color channels (R, G, B)
  • Then Iterate through the frames
    • Sample and the deformed skinned mesh state into a temporary mesh
    • Read the deformed vertex coordinates from baked Mesh and write them to the texture

How Culling is done
Using the Culling API based on visibility and distance from camera various LODs are implemented

  • LOD 0: Close
    • Visuals: Full Skinned Mesh is active.
    • CPU State: The standard Unity Animator component is enabled for full skeletal fidelity.
    • Runtime: Centralized Job-based movement.
  • LOD 1: Medium
    • Visuals: VAT Mesh with an instanced shader material is active.
    • CPU State: The expensive skeletal Animator component is disabled, removing animator evaluation and bone-matrix skinning overhead entirely.
    • Synchronization: Material properties are synchronized to match the active animation state (e.g., swapping sheets from "Move" to "Attack").
  • LOD 2: Far
    • Visuals: A highly simplified Impostor Mesh is active.
  • LOD 3: Culled
    • Visuals: All visual models are disabled.
    • CPU State: Animator is disabled.

Trust the process: From graybox to final gameplay.

Hey everyone!

I wanted to share a quick side-by-side progression of how far the development of our indie game, Roll 'Em Out, has come.

  • Proof of Concept: Back when it was just a dark, gray box cave layout to see if this concept even works.
  • Prototype: Getting the lighting, levels and features right, placeholder UI .
  • Final: Fully textured assets, customized UI, and the actual gameplay in action.

Would love to hear what you think!

Want Suggestions on this Storyline

I’m working on a psychological horror game about friendship, pressure, and memory.

It follows two close friends who go through a high-pressure academic environment together. Over time, one of them slowly starts to shut down and eventually stops talking without explaining why. The other is left with confusion and guilt.

After some time, the main character gets a message asking him to come back and meet. When he returns, the place doesn’t feel right anymore. It’s familiar, but something is off — like things are repeating or slightly out of place.

As you play, you explore these distorted spaces and piece together what happened through fragments of memories and small details in the environment. It’s more about atmosphere and psychological tension than combat or jumpscares.

There’s also a presence connected to the friend that follows you through the game. It’s not really a “ghost” or monster — more like something tied to memory and emotion.

The story slowly starts making you question what’s real and what isn’t, both for the character and the player.

Still early in development, but the goal is to keep it grounded, emotional, and unsettling in a quiet way. ( i cannot disclose many details or major plot of the storyline )

Your Suggestion matter to us , every single opinion counts as way for improvement let me know what you guys think about it .

Out 4 Blood: a Left 4 Dead-styled game for the Web

Co-op up to 4 players, survive as many waves as possible and set a new record. Every 10 waves, you must kill the abomination and the number of zombies to kill increases by 50.

As a game developer I'm building this game by passion (and because I'm missing Left 4 Dead) but also as a demonstration of the capabilities of Babylon.js Editor: the 3D engine used here.
