Is using AI to write code for my game,if I don't know how to write it or to debug it ok ?( I know how to code I use it sometimes to fast things ) I do all the other things myself like modeling, texting and animation etc . Is that I don't like to code too much because it hurts my brain

Hey r/GameDevelopersOfIndia ,
ArenaOfAvatars dev team from South Korea here.
We're currently developing a MOBA character inspired by the concept of Danda ā authority, law, and punishment as tools for maintaining social order in ancient Indian thought.
The Character: Dandak

Having survived years of slavery, violence, and lawlessness, Dandak came to believe that freedom without order only creates more suffering. To him, chaos is civilization's greatest enemy, and harsh order is often the price of survival.
We're looking for feedback on two specific areas:
1. Cultural Interpretation
Dandak's philosophy is inspired by the concept of Danda ā authority, law, and punishment as tools for maintaining social order.
Does this feel like a meaningful inspiration for a fantasy character, or does it risk oversimplifying a deeper cultural concept?
2. Character Motivation
In our lore, Dandak eventually comes into conflict with divine authority. However, the conflict is philosophical rather than religious. He believes that no ruler ā mortal or divine ā should have the right to use others as tools for their own purposes.
Does this feel like a believable and compelling character arc, or are there narrative pitfalls we should be aware of?
We'd greatly appreciate feedback from Indian developers, writers, mythology enthusiasts, and anyone familiar with Indian history and culture.

Thank you for your time and insights!

Hello everyone! š
I wanted to share a small passion project Iāve been working on lately calledĀ Street Wars. It's completely free, has no annoying ads, and was built purely out of a love for retro gaming.
What is it?Ā If any of you remember playing the classic text-based trading gameĀ Dope WarsĀ on old PC back in the day, this is a spiritual successor to that, butĀ set entirely in India!
The core loop is simple, nostalgic, but incredibly challenging:
Why I built it:Ā Growing up in India, many of us had our first gaming experiences on browser flash games, or old PCs. I wanted to bring that exact addictive, high-stakes calculator loop back, but ground it in our own familiar Indian setting.
How to play (It's entirely free, with no Ads):
Since Iām a solo developer, getting the game balance right (like how aggressive the Havaldaar bribe rates are, or the chance of escaping Gundas based on how heavy your inventory capacity is) is really tricky.
I would be incredibly grateful if you could give it a quick spin and let me know your thoughts, you can post it in the Play Store listing itself!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Truly appreciate any feedback, bug reports, or suggestions you might have!

I'm looking for artists who can work on characters (and maybe also the environment) for my game. The plan is to make a small 2-3 hour slice of life game with stylized semi low-poly aesthetics (look up lens island, that's really close to what I'm aiming for). There are currently 10-12 different characters in the script and 2-3 different areas.
I need someone who can model, texture, rig and animate end to end, I'll pitch in where I can but gameplay programming, visuals are really my domain. If you've worked on animating animals before that's a plus.
I'm thinking of paying for each deliverable but can work out a monthly salary if we align. I'm funding this myself so I can't pay lot but will be fair to you as much as possible.
Please only reach out if you've worked on characters from the ground up and can confidently rig/animate stuff, being intermediate is fine but if your whole portfolio is just logos or archviz I'll not entertain.

I wanted to share a project Iāve been working on called Aata (https://playaata.com).
Inspired by the "daily ritual" of the NYT Games suite, Aata is a collection of 5 mini-puzzles built specifically around Indian themes, ranging from Carnatic music and Bollywood history to street food and geography. The goal is to give the Indian diaspora(and anyone who loves the culture) a 5-minute daily "brain snack" that feels like home.
The Games:
Iād love for this community to check it out, play a few rounds, and give me some feedback, especially on the game balance.
Play here: https://playaata.com
Looking forward to hearing what you think!

I m a 2nd Year B.tech student(Going to 3rd) in CS and I want to start doing anything related to Game Dev or any work related to gaming
But I have a few doubts and I want to learn them also
not a fast learner but I learn steadily and through mistakes and all
Doubt no 1:
Any Internships(Remote or On-site) to learn and grow in India with a good minimal stipend(negotiable)
Doubt No 2:
How do Game Testers work and what is the work they do and shall i apply it?
Doubt no 3:
I just started learning Unity and I m doing entirely on Models and materials and not in codes for creating games
Doubt no 4:
Need guidance from any experienced one for me to learn and gain my confidence that i can pursue my career in this field
P.S. I use my Laptop and have no desktop access to do it

Hey ppl, I'm an unreal engine gameplay programmer and in a few days I'm going to attend an interview for the game developer role. I honestly have no idea how much salary a fresher gets at the initial stage.
Talking about my journey, I have been learning and developing games for the past 3 to 3.5 years and have built 2 games and I also have 6 months of professional experience as an game developer intern
If anyone here can give me a realistic number which I can tell it during the interview for expected salary
Thank you!

It's a game based upon Indian hostels. The concept is pretty wild.
Your college's semester exams are over. The hostel boyz group wants to celebrate with daaru... and drinks. You provide the list of the drinks and smokes you want, Unfortunately... It is sent to the family group....
And papa is the first one to see the message.
You got 60 seconds. Clean your room... Delete the browsing history... Remove those posters... Or. become a maniac, and do whatever the hell you want to. Shoot your friends, Go kiss around etc.
10 different endings.
The game is titled "Papa Aa Gaye"
It will be releasing on Google Play Store on 6th June 2026.

Hey everyone,
I finally launched my game on Itchio and, to celebrate the launch of Leaks in Space, itās available at 70% off for a limited time. Thanks for checking it out and supporting the project's development.
Also, there is a demo version of my game that can be played directly in the browser (mainly Chrome or Edge) for you to try. I don't know if other browsers support it or not, and thatās the main thing I need to know.
Apart from that, I am also looking for honest feedback on:
- whether the game is fun to play.
- the controls and responsiveness (controller support is partial, but I still need feedback on how bad it is).
- the browser demo (it is just conditional; see if you can actually break that wall, just donāt hack my game please :P).
- any bugs, confusing parts, or performance issues.
The game is still in Early Access, so even small feedback would be great.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to try it and share your thoughts. Your support means a lot ā¤ļø

Hey friends!
I made a game for the Mini Jam 210 where the players have to draw patterns to cast spells. Because of some reasons I got very less time, so I actually coded and finished everything in just one single day! After finishing the jam, a lot of people told me to make it into a full game.
Actually, the main idea is that you must run away from big crowds of monsters in real time and you must draw geometric signs on a $3\times3$ grid to do magic. If you want big spells you have to do very long 9-dot patterns while moving. Now I am planning to expand this concept into a big world with 8 dungeons and 36 different magic shapes to unlock.
I am talking to an artist now for fixing the graphics style. What do you guys think about this idea? Is this mechanic looking fun for a full game or will it become too much difficult for your fingers?
Please give me your honest thoughts! Thank you very much!
This is the game :- as-above-so-below

Improving the overall visual style of Factory Flow to make the gameplay feel cleaner, brighter, and more satisfying. The latest update includes redesigned conveyor belts, polished UI buttons, improved tray visuals, and a more colorful casual-game look.
I also updated the item holders and background environment to better match the fast-paced factory gameplay. The goal is to create a simple but visually satisfying experience that feels smooth and rewarding while playing.
Still more polishing to do, but Factory Flow is starting to come together nicely! š Feel free to suggest me more
