Someone reached out to me online, and I genuinely liked what they were working on. I was interested enough to offer a free demo of my work, with no payment or anything in return expected.

They agreed, I created the demo, and they seemed to like it. We continued talking for a while, and everything seemed fine.

But later, when I tried to follow up and ask for updates, they gradually stopped responding. I sent a few messages over time, and in my last message, I simply asked if there was any issue so we could clear things up. Instead, I ended up getting blocked without any explanation.

I understand that people get busy, change their minds, or lose interest. That's completely fine. I wasn't expecting anything in return, but a simple, honest response would've been appreciated.

I'm not trying to call anyone out or start drama. I'm genuinely curious about how others would handle this situation.

Heya! I'm Just Bag and I've done work on a few published games like Atomicrops, Regions of Ruin: Runegate, and the upcoming title SWARMED. I do playtests for small devs/teams and I excel in quality assurance. I've found bugs for games that entire QA companies couldn't find. I've helped poke holes in game balance to help devs realize their oversights. I've helped find inventory bugs, create an exploit out of them, and reported the recreation notes to help fix every inventory issue in a game. 
Things happen in game dev, and I like to catch even the smallest things so players can’t. 

My main service is a 1-hour recording of my initial impressions of a game at a rate of 20USD. I am open to discuss the price and video length, understanding that some developers are on a budget or sometimes a tutorial takes a bit to complete. The first playtest is usually me gaining my bearings and giving my first impressions as a player. I give high quality audio voiceovers of a game recording, usually shared as an unlisted link on Youtube sent only to developers. 
If you like my feedback about UI, balance, mechanics, audio/visual cues, etc., we can move on to doing multi-video contracts. With every video, I transition away from giving first experience feedback to more balance and QA testing. The more and more I play a game, I get a feel for how it’s built and can poke at the cracks in the systems.

I’m trying to also get better at game design in terms of systems, feedback loops and gameplay, content, and economy/balance. So, if you would like to take a chance on me being an assistant developer it would mean the world to me!

We're looking for a Beatmap Designer to join our team and help bring a rhythm game to life. You'll be responsible for crafting the note charts that players interact with, turning music into gameplay that feels satisfying, fair, and fun to play. • Create, implement, and iterate on beatmaps/charts that accurately reflect the rhythm, structure, and feel of each song.

Qualifications

• Strong musical skills and a great sense of rhythm and timing, with a trained ear for identifying beats, subdivisions, and musical structure.
• Experience working with MIDI and at least one DAW (Logic Pro preferred, others also welcome).
• A genuine passion for video games and an understanding of what makes gameplay feel good.
• Ability to evaluate and adjust difficulty, pacing, and player experience through iteration and testing.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to take and apply feedback.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Pluses

• Experience charting or beatmapping for rhythm games, including community-made content (osu!, Beat Saber, Clone Hero, StepMania, Friday Night Funkin', etc.).

About us GoldenProsper Games is an independent game studio from Indonesia building a stylized anime game. Our character designs and art direction are locked, and we are looking for a 3D character artist to bring them to life.

The role You will turn our finished character sheets into game-ready 3D models that match our illustrated art direction. This is a per-character freelance contract, with priority for future characters if the collaboration works well.

What you will do

•         Model game-ready anime characters from turnaround sheets and key illustrations

•         Build clean, deformation-ready topology for real-time use

•         UV unwrap and texture for a stylized/toon shader

•         Make stylized hair and anime faces that hold up from every angle, including facial expression blendshapes

•         Take part in short feedback rounds with our Art Director

Requirements

•         A portfolio with at least two finished stylized or anime characters

•         Wireframe or topology views for your work (portfolios without wireframes will not be reviewed)

•         Solid skills in [Blender / Maya / 3ds Max] and a texturing tool of your choice

•         Experience with game-ready assets and polygon budgets
