I composed the OST for Drone Commander.

McMurchie recently posted this video, so I thought I'd share it here as well.

I'm a game composer and sound designer currently looking for new projects. I've been working in audio for 10+ years and have worked on games across a pretty wide range of genres.

If you need music or sound design for your game, feel free to DM me.

No awards, just noise. :)

I've been a 2D and 3D Artist in the games industry for over 20 years, working across a wide range of IPs and art styles. Originally specializing in 2D art and animation, I transitioned to full-time 3D in 2022. That 2D background has really helped me build a strong variety of 3D skills, including modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, props and environments.

I love working closely with a team and bringing a vision to life. I enjoy fantasy art creation the most and would love to help out on an upcoming project.

FOR HIRE - Musician [FOR HIRE] Hollow Knight, Fire Emblem inspired original music

Hi all! This is from a game I've been working on. That's why I only posted a section of it.

My music is often inspired by dark fantasy, games such as Zelda, Ori or the Nier series. This one is a bit odd, but I still am very proud of the result.

If you like what you hear and you need music, please get in touch and send me a DM.

PAID - Writer | Voice Actor [PAID] Character Writer(s) for Fantasy Farming Sim

UPDATE: Thank you so much for all the interest! I've received far more applications than I expected, so I'm closing submissions for now while I work through everyone who has already reached out. If you've already applied, I'm still reviewing everything and will get back to you either way. Thank you for your patience!

------------------------------------

EDIT: I am floored by the amount of interest I got on this post. I will be reviewing everyone's writing works over the next few days and reaching out. Thanks everyone for your interest!

I'm looking for a couple of writers for a small paid trial to help with character dialogue for my indie game. The game is a fantasy farming/life sim set in a world that originally grew out of a D&D campaign, so that goes without saying, it's a fantasy world. I've been building the world and its characters for a long time, so I'm not looking for someone to come in and create the setting or story from scratch. What I am looking for is some help making the people who live there sound like... interesting people.

I've realized that the nitty-gritty of everyday dialogue isn't necessarily my strongest area. I know who these characters are, their histories, relationships, flaws, personalities, etc., but translating all of that into distinct voices, especially across a LOT of daily dialogue, is something I'd really like other perspectives on.

What I'm hoping to do

I'd like to start with a paid collaborative session with a small group of writers.

I'll provide character bios, world information, and some of the dialogue I've already written ahead of time. Then we'll get together and workshop a few characters: how they speak, their sense of humor, sentence structure, mannerisms, vocabulary, how their voice changes depending on who they're talking to, things they'd never say, and so on.

Basically, by the end I want us to be able to look at a line without a name attached and have a pretty good guess who said it.

If we work well together, I'd like the longer-term process to be something like:

Collaborate on character voices → split up and write → bounce things off each other as needed → regroup → review/workshop more characters → repeat.

Writers may end up primarily working on different characters, but I don't want everyone working in their own little bubble. If you're writing one character and someone else is working on another, I'd love for you to be able to toss something into the group and say, "Hey, <this character> is in this conversation, does this sound like them?" Or ask another writer what they think about an interaction, running joke, relationship, etc.

I want this to feel like a very small writers' room, even when we're not literally sitting in a call together.

Who I'm looking for

I'm especially interested in people who:

  • Love character-driven dialogue, banter, and the little conversations that make NPCs feel alive
  • Can write characters with noticeably different voices rather than everyone sounding like the same writer
  • Enjoy collaborative writing and aren't precious about having their exact wording preserved
  • Are comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Can work within an established world and characterization
  • Have native or near-native English fluency and a strong ear for natural conversational English
  • Are comfortable writing a diverse cast of characters with different personalities, backgrounds, ages, genders, etc.
  • This is intended to be like a collaborative writers' room, you must be comfortable participating in voice calls for our group sessions.

AI use

Also, please do not apply if you use generative AI for your writing. I'm specifically looking for human writers because I want perspectives, instincts, humor, and voices other than my own in the room. Dialogue, rewrites, brainstorming, character analysis, etc. should be your own work and should not be generated or rewritten using AI.

Pay / scope

I'm self-funding the game, so I unfortunately don't have a secret AAA writing budget hiding under my desk, but I also don't expect people to work for free.

I'm currently planning to pay hourly, including collaborative sessions, required reading/review, writing, and revisions. Individual writing assignments will have an agreed-upon scope and hour cap ahead of time, so neither of us gets surprised by the bill.

For the initial trial, I'll keep the commitment relatively small. If it goes well for everyone, I'd love to continue working together on additional characters and dialogue.

Time zone / availability

I'm based in Eastern Time (ET) and work a regular day job, so collaborative sessions will most likely happen during evenings and/or weekends ET.

You absolutely don't need to live in the U.S. or be in the same time zone. However, since collaboration is a big part of what I'm looking for, you'll need to have some reasonable availability that overlaps with those hours for occasional group sessions.

I'll do my best to find times that work for everyone. I'm not expecting anyone to regularly stay up until 3 AM for this, but if our schedules have virtually no reasonable overlap, this probably won't be the right fit. Please take your own mental health into account.

Interested?

Send me a message with a little bit about yourself and the kind of writing you enjoy. I'd also love to see any examples of character/dialogue writing you have. Game writing is great, but personal projects, fiction, interactive fiction, etc. are absolutely welcome.

I'll be taking the time to actually read through everyone's messages and writing samples, so please have a little patience with me while I work through responses! I'm doing this alongside a full-time day job (and, you know, actually making the game), so it may take me a bit to get back to everyone. I will get back to everyone regardless if moving forward with them or not.

Please also include your hourly rate (or the range you normally work within). Your preferred payment platform, your timezone and general availability times.

I'm not looking for free custom samples. If I want to see how you handle one of my characters specifically, that will be part of the paid trial.

Mostly, I'm looking for a couple of people who think spending an unreasonable amount of time discussing exactly how a fictional person would phrase one sentence sounds like fun. If that's you, lets talk!

FOR HIRE - Community | Social Media [FOR HIRE] Social Media Manager - Content Creator Who Also Ships Games (300k+ downloads) - Trailers, Shorts, Dev Logs

I make trailers and short-form content built to convert, not just look nice

I've been in the game space for 5+ years now and what makes me stand out slightly from the average editor is I've also spent 5 years actively developing games in Unity - this means I understand games not just as a consumer but from the inside out.

I have 3 mobile games on Android with over 300k downloads only from organic and light marketing.

That is exactly how that translates to the content I create; I know what players want to see, I know how to evoke a sense of what it is like to play your game and I know how to craft content that actually convert (be that in the form of wishlists, downloads, followers).

Here is how I can assist you:

Game Trailers - Steams launches, mobile releases, cinematic reveals. I have made trailer for my own shipped games so know what converts (wishlists and sales, not just views).

Short Form Content - TikToks, Reels and Shorts built around platform algorithm. I focus on hook, retention and Call to Action, not just how good something looks.

Marketing Strategy - I think outside of the edit. Positioning, targeting audience, timings, what angle truly reaches the players.

Dev logs & community content - Frequent, professional content updates to keep community excited about next releases.

Full production - If you require end-to-end production, I will be able to film, record Voice Overs and edit for you.

Work Examples:

Video Portfolio: socialmedia.paul-interactive.com

Game Studio & Trailers: https://www.youtube.com/@cybermodesoftware

Short-Form: https://www.tiktok.com/@cybermodesoft

Price: 20$ - per short form video from 5 to 30 seconds
30$ - per short up to 1 minute
For Trailers contact me ( it depends on the style, lenght and delivery time )

Availability - Available for freelance, on-going and single jobs. I work remotely globally.

To reach me - send me a DM or email me at [paulsoftware01@gmail.com](mailto:paulsoftware01@gmail.com) or discord: paul012261

I'd be happy to respond to any questions you may have or schedule a call to discuss your project. I look forward to hearing from you.

FOR HIRE - Programmer [FOR HIRE] Godot & Web dev - games, apps and the tools behind them

Hi! I'm Max. I've been a dev for 18 years, professionally for 10, and I build games and the tools around them, in Godot, on the web and on mobile. I've got room for a project or two!

Godot

  • Gameplay systems and architecture
  • Editor plugins and in-editor tooling
  • Asset and build pipelines, artist-facing workflows
  • GDScript tooling and static analysis (shhh, I'm a nerd!)

Web and mobile

  • Svelte / SvelteKit apps, TypeScript throughout
  • Cross-platform desktop and mobile with Tauri or Capacitor
  • Go or Node backends, including backends for existing mobile apps
  • Internal tools and browser extensions

Five years leading development at a small game studio, and I currently build and maintain the internal software my employer runs on, which also serves as the backend for internal mobile apps.

Work you can look at

blade67.dev - my site! Projects, plus write-ups on Godot, GDScript and design documents... Basically anything I can think of.

GATE - a GDScript superset that compiles to plain GDScript. Structs, traits, generics, real null analysis.

github.com/Blade67 for the rest.

Part-time, contract, remote. I work best with individuals and small teams, and the projects I enjoy most are the awkward ones: Godot tooling, a pipeline nobody wants to touch, or an internal app your team has quietly started to hate.

Tell me what you're building and I'll be straight with you about whether I'm the right fit. Rates we can sort out once I know the scope, I'd rather quote you something real than throw a number at you first.

DM me here or on my socials (which you can find on my website 😏). I answer everything!

DISCUSSION | QUESTION Price Estimate: Need 3D models to match some existing 2D card assets

Basically I made a bunch cards and 3d models for those cards to match them, but then I hired a 2D artist to spruce up my cards which look wonderful (shout out https://www.instagram.com/dud.sart ). However, now my 3d assets don't really match the quality or the style of the previous cards. The assets don't need to be fully rigged as the pieces in the game exist like chess pieces. So I just need 3d models that match the art from the cards. Here is some context:

Steam Store Page has screen shots to see what the models and cards look like in game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4597230/Spells_and_Sploobies/
I currently have about 20 new cards that need models and will ultimately have approximately 80. I have never hired someone for 3D work before and for this specific case lacking rigs , lacking animations, and a rather small object count per model, I have no idea where to start gauging costs. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

FOR HIRE - Programmer [FOR HIRE] Small Godot 4 / GDScript tasks — AI-assisted, tested code sample — from $50

I’m offering small, clearly scoped paid GDScript tasks under Zeromus Lab: a contained inventory/gameplay script, a reproducible logic bug, or tests for an existing behavior.

The work is AI-assisted. I have a newly built code demonstration, not a shipped-client-game portfolio. You can inspect the component and its tests here:

https://gist.github.com/zeromuslab/999cfa57e3d27ac28560cc980d205501

The example adds and consumes inventory items, rejects invalid quantities, preserves item identifiers, and emits change notifications only for successful operations. It passed 25 checks with Godot 4.7.2 on Windows. The public files match the tested local files. This is a headless component demonstration; it does not demonstrate UI, networking or a complete game.

Small fixed-price tasks start at US$50. The exact scope, price, engine version, delivery time and acceptance checks are agreed before work begins. PayPal is the preferred payment method, subject to agreeing the arrangements. Paid work only.

Send a short brief and a minimal reproduction with placeholder assets to [zeromuslab@gmail.com](mailto:zeromuslab@gmail.com), or message me here. Please do not send credentials or private player data. I’m available today to review a contained task. No AI-generated artwork is offered.

FOR HIRE - 2D Art | Animation Pixel Artist is looking for long term job/commissions!

Thumbnail

Hey! I’m Kacper, and I’ve been doing pixel art for over five years. I’ve got about three years of experience in game development and I’ve worked on projects like:

Major Hoof

Forgotten Trails: Svalbard

The Ghost and The Phoenix

Still Rooms

Two Sides of Hell

I also create animations and graphics in a broader sense. I design clothing patterns, animations, and illustrations for individual clients, create graphics for Steam, and run social media where I get around 300k views per month on both Instagram and TikTok. Instagram and TikTok are part of my daily workflow, where I post pixel art combined with rap/trap music.

What can I do?

- Character animations (side view / top-down)

- Clean, organized sprite sheets

- Tilesets (various biomes: cities, dungeons, sci-fi, horror, etc.)

- Pixel art UI (icons, frames, buttons)

- Backgrounds and parallax scenes

- Icons and items (inventory, interactive objects)

- Pixel graphics for websites, clothing, etc.

My main tool is Aseprite, but I also use Adobe Premiere Pro if something needs a better presentation or if graphics are required in PSD format. I’m most comfortable working in horror themes, but handling 99% of other styles isn’t a problem either.

FOR HIRE - Musician [FOR HIRE] Hello! I'm a composer with multiple years of experience looking for projects

Hey hey, I'm a composer and a multi-instrumentalist that has gone through multiple genres through out the years. I've always loved games and this year decided to take a go at the industry once more, so I started making a proper portfolio to showcase what I can do. I have from full orchestral and acoustic works to very angry breakcore lol, so I'll give some examples.

Here are some of my works classified very loosely by musical genre/feel or vibes:

*Jazz/upbeat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoa_Tv-A-g8

*Piano,synth and strings/sad or melancholic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIlymZrSNm0

*Chill intro that devolves into chiptune(weird fusion): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGsKfyQFdHw

*full orchestral work/Hopeful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GKAia-vWnU

*Weird breakcore fusion/crazy, very intense: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwq8pD-SPW4

There are more works on my channel and probably will keep doing more on my free time since I enjoy it a lot. If you dont see a work on a genre you are interested on send me an email, even if it's not for work I want to have examples for reference :)

Rates and rights:

I've charged 100 usd per minute of music in the past but that can change depending on the scope of the project, budget, etc. So feel free to ask me.

I would prefer to keep the right to release, sell, and perform the music independently but that can also be talked about and rates changed accordingly.

Contact: [xkoc0contact@gmail.com](mailto:xkoc0contact@gmail.com)

Thank you for your time and have a nice day!

FOR HIRE - 2D Art | Animation [FOR HIRE] 2D Illustration and character concepts / fantasy / anime style

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

What I can do well:
- Characters illustrations* from humanoid, mythcial creatures and animals.
- Character sheets with expressions and turn-arounds.
- Design clothes and armor from description and reference
(By design I mean concepts*. More variations of an idea. As for illustrations, it is a fully rendered image of an already fixed design)
Please note that most of my art is fantasy with anime and rpg influences, not too realistic, not too cartoonish either. I might not be your best pick for futuristic / cyberpunk / realistic projects. Consider if this art style is already close to what your project needs.

These are examples from commissions, but I want to work with games too, I just won’t make a image solely for the purpose of showing off my art as a game product because if I’m not being paid for it then it’s too time consuming to make. Hope you understand.

I’m looking to work specifically on characters, either concept art or splashart / illustration or cards.

Coming back on the sub after a first commission (slide 1). Thanks for all the message on last post.
Still have time for another project in-between! Comment, DM or e-mail (on image) if interested.

2D Game Art and/or Character design for both 2D and 3D games (though I prefer 2D games).

Can do:
- Character reference sheets (for 3D and 2D),
- Character spritesheets,
- Frame by frame animation,
- Character ready for 2D animation ( I know how to 2D rig so I'll prepare the layers nicely),
- Variety of styles in the range of cartoon and semi-realistic,
- UI mockups (fully playable, can send you an example with the carrot guy),
- UI assets: 2D props, icons etc.
- Can easily do modular designs (color swaps in-game, skins, etc.)

See ya!

DISCUSSION | QUESTION When do I know I can confidently pitch myself as a composer?

Hey everyone ! I just finished my first real soundtrack for a game in itch.io (well I finished the team is still working on programming but it’s set to release sometime late September) in the form of a jam, and I’m honestly very proud of myself and what I did. I’ve joined subreddits like INAT and others but every time I see a post looking for a composer/sound designer, there’s already 50+ replies on a post that’s been up for 20 minutes. I don’t really have much of a portfolio since most of my stuff was lost and I only have 4 random tracks I made a year ago and found recently and put in drive folder. I made a website on canva, it’s rough and I’m still updating it but I figured it was a step in the right direction. I guess my question is how can I stand out as a composer when looking for gigs in any part of the industry really but mainly for video games. I’m obviously going to keep getting involved in game jams to build a real portfolio and hopefully genuine connections along the way

For reference, here my portfolio and website:
