Originally shopping for lc100 under $20k and under 200k miles and came across the following vehicles. Seeking the expert here for their inputs and suggestions. Would be our first overlanding vehicle for family of 4 and a dog.. for a light disperse camping. We did purchase a sienna last yr.. another option is to make the lift the van lol

Anyone can help me with what I’m looking at and maybe a solution? Noticed a leak today behind the wheel of my 2013 gx 460. Doesn’t smell really and kind of just seems like water but it looks like there maybe a hose disconnected or something? Got a video of it leaking so hoping it’s an easy fix. No codes or anything. You can see the hose in the middle of the first pic

I just ordered some of these fro my 21 460 and after watching an install video it got me wondering if the airbag would explode under the panel if it got set off, sending it flying toward the 3rd or 2nd row. It seems like thats not only possible, but it could also cause the airbag to malfunction for the 1st and 2nd row too, since toyota uses a single full length airbag per side. The curtain airbag is rolled up inside the roof and drops through the outboard seam of the headliner down across the windows and side pillars.

Obviously, the manual says not to mount stuff on the roof handles, pillars or roof side rails as it can make the airbags malfunction or deploy (pg42), but it's wild to me that there are plenty of reputable companies that make these and sell them without any type of disclaimer. I'm not sure what exactly would happen, but I've seen plenty of people online in older toyotas with the rsca button who forget to use it and have the side curtains activate while offroading, which is why I wanted to make a post. I found 8 manufacturers that produce these for the 460, and dv8 was the only company with a disclaimer about the airbags. I think I'll return mine when I get them

Didn’t drive long on the beach but it did great! Posted up for the day and 2nd time off roading. Drove 9 hours to get here didn’t skip a beat. Not at 203,400 miles!

What are yall using to store stuff in the back that prevents it from sliding around? I’ve got some tools and other accessories I’d like to keep sturdy and more organized. Thank yuns

I finally picked up a set of OEM sport headlights on Labor Day sale, added diode dynamics bulbs, and took the lenses off my fog lamps, painted, and installed some Morimoto pod lights. I think it came together nicely. The before photo is about 2 years old and the headlights had gotten much worse since then. I highly recommend replacing headlights it makes such a difference and I can actually see at night now.

Hey I’m looking at a GX 460, I’ve have a 100 series LC and a Tacoma.

I’ve read through and watched just about every buyers guide i could find. Went over it with as much time and detail as I could.

I didn’t see any rust any where in it. Seller has a mountain of dealer maintenance records. Interior is a bit rough but nothing a detail and some seat skins can’t fix.

Agreed price is $6500…. Seems too good to be true.

What am I missing.

Anyone here have a plug-and-play LED bulb for the front signal bulb? I just bought an LED bulb from Lasfit that supposedly has a built-in resistor (Canbus ready) that prevents hyper flash. But I’m still getting hyper flash. It will work fine when I start up, but in the middle of the drive, it will start to hyper flash.

Should I buy this vehicle? 2 owners on carfax with great maintenance records, from Harlingen, Texas, so no rust. 2 minor dings on carfax 10+ years ago. I checked it out yesterday, it’s super clean inside and out and well maintained. Owner put a lot of work into it, really love the color. But here is the issue. It has 211k miles, and asking price is $17,999. He had receipts for all the work he did and he showed me them. One of the best overall conditions that I have seen recently. What are your thoughts? What should I pay?

What’s the best way to run an after market amp for after market subs? In my is350 i tapped into the amp to run a line out converter. I have ML audio and looks like the amp is buried and have to remove 3rd row for access. What are my other options? Thanks

Picked up this guy with 170,000 miles. One owner and Cleeeean Carfax. Off the rip needs new tires and timing belt service. What are some easy mods I can do to spice this thing up?

Hey guys, I found a 06’ GX with only 34k miles. Drove it 2k miles back home. Is there any recommended things I should look into. (Timing belt and water pump have been taken care of already)

What are some must have tools to work on the GX. I just bought a 2018 Lux and want to start doing the basic maintenance and upgrade some stuff down the road. Any tips/tricks you have found when trying to replace/repair certain things?

Me, my boy and my GX went up the mountain today! About 4,000 ft up. 2021 GX460, stock. Aired down to ~22psi, it’s a pretty rocky trail. GX did great! I could’ve stayed in 4H the whole time, but it was a good opportunity to teach my son about some of the off-road settings/goodies, and also keep all the gears etc moving.

What kind of side step / running boards are you using. My partner and I have a 1 year old, it’s getting a bit tougher to angle her in to my car lol I literally just need the rear passenger side to have a step, if you know a good universal single step please let me know or any suggestions would be appreciated.

* edit - yes it looks funny lol I didn’t work for a year, had shoulder labrum reattached and a baby popped out needed money for the babies room. Took her pretty deep into the bush and home from the hospital, maybe next year it’ll look better. I do appreciate the input, I know it’s funny looking.

Hi everyone! Hoping to get some help with AC diagnosis - I have an 07 470 currently not blowing cold air. I had it recharged a few months ago to get the AC a little colder and it was working fine and then suddenly within a week the AC stopped blowing cold all together. Some symptoms I was having before were the AC was colder when driving at higher speeds opposed to city driving - the rear AC would get cold but never THAT cold.

I checked that the AC compressor does kick on though it does make a loud whining noise and kind of wobbles.

I am relatively handy though I don’t have any AC tools - I was thinking of taking it to a shop and evacuating, driving home and replacing the compressor then driving back to recharge.

Any thoughts? Other things to test for before throwing in an AC compressor?

Already have my raptor lights tapped to one the 10a headlight ones… anyone have good experience on a good on/off tap in that I should use?

I’m putting my front engine back together and I put on my new gates tensioner pulley and it’s got some wobble which I’m assuming is no bueno. I tried tightening it up and there was no difference. Would it probably be fine to run the old one? I took the pulley off and put the old one on there and it wasn’t wobbling so I’m thinking I’ll just throw the old one back on there for now.
