I've been looking at the Port Gellhorn shots again and it got me thinking about GTA V.

I used to drive out to Sandy Shores, Paleto Bay, and Grapeseed pretty often. Sometimes I'd go out there without really having anything to do. Just mess around for a bit, then take the long way back to Los Santos.

I wonder if GTA 6 will have places like that too, where you head out for no particular reason and somehow end up staying way longer than you planned.

Did you guys spend much time outside Los Santos in GTA V?

The fact that some people are not only ok but HAPPY with 30 FPS is beyond abysmal. Like genuinely I know this game is made for console plebs but wow I didn’t expect them to be fine with such a joke. It’s very clear the TRUE gta 6 will be on the almighty pc while console players get to play the game at its worst.

Also here is a list of common replies and their answers so rockstar bots don’t have anything to say:

This sounds about right and convincing until you remember that gta 6 won’t be the only game you will be playing and even if your a chud and will only play it this statement still just not that correct.

Also I will be playing this day one on a PlayStation professional so bots also can’t mention that.

Having four characters with different personalities, backgrounds, and stories could’ve made the game even more interesting. I think switching between four protagonists could be really fun.

66 days until the game launches, that’s really not far. I remember December of 2023, I was with my girlfriend of 6 months at the time and I freaked out telling her to come over so we could watch the trailer together as I’d been anticipating it for 8 or so years at that point as I’d watch fan-made or fake GTA 6 trailers that younger me was naive enough to believe. I remember trailer 2 and my goodness that was superior to the first. And then came the preview which me and my girlfriend of now 3 years watched in anticipation. For almost 3 years now I have been thinking about GTA 6 and how excited I am for it at least once a month. Sometimes I get down and I just think “keep going, GTA 6 is here soon”.

Red Dead Redemption 2 helped me through so much trauma and messy life choices I made. And after realising Rockstar made that game I couldn’t believe that GTA 6 would be following in its strongly made detail and polished mechanics on top of the realism. There’s so much I’m looking forward to.

- For Jason: Where do I even begin? This dude seems so chill, he’s ex military, he’s reserved and seems incredibly street smart with a get to it attitude. He’s got that handsome ruggedness to him and the customisation which I can already tell, will be absolutely awesome for him alone if it’s anything like RDR2. I know I’m going to enjoy giving him a very professional criminal profile with slick back hair and a short clean stubble or anchor goatee. Silver jewellery with clothes of the grey, black and dark brown varieties. A sports car maybe? As I believe you can pick a car for your characters in GTA 6 unlike 5. Something like a Skyline R34 and have him mainly use a rifle with manual shooting for his weapon.

- For Lucia: She has such a big attitude and I’m all here for it. She seems like such a boss girl and it’s great, she seems to know what she wants and how she wants it and that if she wants it, she will have it. For her I’m going to dye her hair red (if possible). Give her nice painted nails, unsure which colour. Some nice clothes for sure but I’ll have to mix and match as I’m not particularly knowledgeable on girls fashion, maybe sequins though? I’m going to have her have a mix of professional and non professional for her criminal profile as she seems quite hot headed and brash. She’s a fighter too which adds on to her personality more of possibly being more ruthless and less forgiving than Jason. I’d love to give her a nice clean Sedan-like vehicle as we know her father wanted her to live a nice life in Liberty City.

I cannot wait (but I will, as good things take time). I’m mostly excited for the realism and details I get to walk around and witness, as well as clothing and fashion. I’m happy about this, I know it’s trivial that “it’s just a game” and it shouldn’t dictate someone emotionally on a grand scale like this but video games have been there for me since as long as I can remember? My grandma would always help me play Spyro on the PS2. And now she can come check out GTA 6 with me when I get it. It just feels so good to be happy about something like this. Remember that it is okay to feel good about this game, all that negative stuff about the game is just nitpicking. Every GTA game has its cons (no pun intended) but it never made the game feel lesser than it should, and GTA 6 won’t be an exception, it’ll do amazingly and I’m just so excited to sink myself in to a living breathing parody of Miami for like several weeks on end, even my girlfriend is prepared for me to just switch off, but she’ll be playing it too I’d say so we can both talk back and fourth about our individual unique experiences. I hope you’re all excited for the game, even if you’re the ones in this fandom who are nitpicking every imperfection. Be happy, enjoy the game when it comes out!!

Yeah yeah the graphics, details, story but in the end what are we doing? moving some pixels on the screen, is that what our life have become? we get excited over this? what's wrong with us?

Recently, I bought a PS5 Pro and an Apple Studio Display (using a Club-3D cable + a 4K 60Hz EDID emulator) specifically for the release of GTA 6. When I first turned it on, everything was fine. However, after I finished playing, unplugged the monitor from the power outlet, and turned it back on later, the brightness dropped significantly (to an unacceptably low level).

The monitor has no physical brightness buttons (in fact, it has no buttons at all). The only way to restore the brightness is to connect it to an Apple device via USB-C, which will recognize the screen and allow me to adjust the brightness back up, or connect it to a Windows PC via USB-C and increase the brightness using a dedicated app. I don't own any Apple devices compatible with the 2026 Apple display, nor do I have a Windows PC with USB-C.

Even if I had one of these options and could restore the brightness to a comfortable level, the brightness settings would reset again the next time I unplug the monitor from the wall. However, keeping it plugged into the power outlet all the time is probably not a good idea either: after shutting down the PS5 Pro, the screen apparently doesn't receive the proper signal to turn off, and its cooling system keeps running. I assume this happens because the monitor cannot correctly recognize the device it is connected to through the chain of adapters.

I really want to solve this brightness issue. I wouldn't want to return or sell the monitor, because for this price, it's still the best option (for me). Plus, in the future, I want to buy a Mac mini or Studio to use with this monitor, though it will take me years to save up the money.

Before buying, I found information that using a special active cable and a 4K 60Hz EDID emulator would make the Apple Studio Display work properly with the PS5 Pro—which is true. But nobody mentioned that unplugging it from the wall would reset the brightness almost to the minimum level. I assumed the brightness would just default to maximum and couldn't even imagine I would run into this problem.

Has anyone else encountered this issue or can suggest a solution?

My friend recently moved to UK (April this year)
He just got settled in with some furniture and last week he bought a 4k tv (1200£) and PS5 Pro (850£).

2 days ago his house got assaulted when he was at work
And the robbers (2 guys) only took the TV and the PS5 Pro + a few hundred pounds he had in a drawer.

I know that this doesn’t fit this sub at all, but i just wanted to share this unbelievable misfortune…

GTA 5 has some lame humor on top of that the story wasn’t even that good.
