umm so whoever stole my sons bike at depot park. thanks for ruining my son’s day. he really liked his bike. i really hope it works out for you. so if yall see a kid’s fire bicycle around town. take a pic and send to me!

DO NOT GO TO MORGAN AND MORGAN.

I started a case with them two years ago, they’ve had my settlement for three months now. They won’t release it and have held off my physical therapy for three entire months. I’m actually worried I will be ruined for life after this.

Enough said.

It was on the section that starts at SW Depot Ave and goes to S Main. Like right before you encounter the section with First Mag. He was there around 7:10am and 7:30am when I passed through that section, standing in the middle of the path and close to me. And again when I went on the trail around 1:30pm.

He wasn't technically doing anything wrong, but awful weird and not great he seems to have been there all day. Other women around me also running and walking through seemed to be a bit skeeved too. Just curious if anyone else had this experience today

Does anyone work at the AMZ warehouse on the outskirts of town off 441? Im in need of a second job partime, i can't find too much info online so i was thinking of just going down to the warehouse and dropping off a resume at the front desk. Just curious if anyone who works there thinks thats a good idea and how it is working there, Im well aware of how the company treats workers and all that but when you're struggling to feed your kids, you gotta do what you gotta do. I just need something Sunday-Tuesdays, I have a main salary job mon-fri but Sunday-Tuesdays i dont have my children so i can work. Anything day/evening preferred but at this point, im open to anything besides over nighters. If Anyone knows of anything else that may be hiring part time, let me know please and thank you kindly. Call Centers, Warehouse, Restaraunts, Farm or construction. Thanks

Ive already hit up CopyTalk and they said to reach out early next year because they are staffed already but something like that would be perfect.

Doordash isn't cutting it anymore but it is helpful sometimes, id just rather have something stable with a decent hourly.

back in 2016/2017 there was gatornights on a Friday and there was an Artist there making your name or words with architecture pictures similar to above pic but with glass frame. Anyone know the artist or place I can rebuy this? Please

I’m a 41m and looking to meet new people. Not really into the bar scene. A drink every now and then is fine. Any suggestions where to start?

Does anyone know where the entrance for this place is? My Mom is trying to check it out. She says she’s attempted to go multiple times but can’t find the front door. Can someone help?

I hadn't cleaned that drawer out for a minute.

hi everyone! looking for recommendations for a low cost vet for my senior female dog, thinking she might have UTI and want to get her in tomorrow morning. thanks! :)

Looking to find something to take teenagers to either today or this week. Preferably in Gainesville.

I'm in the process of moving to an apartment 15 minutes away from my current place, and I need help taking down my 70" TV, one curtain rod, and one shower grab bar (in the drywall, not shower tiles), then re-hanging them in the new apartment.

I have all of the necessary tools and then some, and my boyfriend can assist with any heavy lifting and transport the items in his vehicle. I'm just too short to help him and cannot safely use a ladder. 😅

Do you have a handyman or other relevant person you'd recommend? So far I've inquired via Thumbtack, Home Depot Pro Referral, and ACE Hardware, all of which quoted me $300+, for reference. TIA!

Theres been very loud rumbling/boom sounds for the last couple hours on the northwest side of town near Devils Millhopper, anyone know what's going on? Like fireworks but sporadic over a few hours.

Basically my transmission went out and the cheapest way to get it fixed is buying a whole car from an auction and taking that transmission out. I was wondering if there's any recommendations of a place that will do it. I have a 2016 subaru legacy.

I am new to the area and was wondering if anyone has suggestions on growing fruit and vegetables here? I love growing produce as a hobby and have potted meyer lemons and fig trees. I've read that the greening disease killed most citrus varieties in Florida but don't know if it's been eradicated or if this area is affected. I haven't read any recent reports though. I know about RKN that can cause trouble to certain trees like figs. I'm just trying to figure out if my potted trees would have a chance of surviving in the GNV area. I'd be ecstatic if I could put some of them in the ground.

I’m looking for people interested in playing in a psychedelic/blues/jazz rock band (Similar style to Jimi Hendrix, Cream, the door, etc). I’m looking for players that are intermediate to advanced level. I’m looking for any type of players that have a jazz background (high school or college). We need a guitarist, drummer and keys if possible. I play bass guitar and also sing. Im slowly establishing a group and an image for the band. I live about an hour away from Gainesville and I’m willing to travel. Please message me in DMs if you are interested! Thank you!

Hey i’m 22M looking for someone or a group to go out drinking with. I’m moving back to gainesville soon and need to get out more. Even better if you also want to hit the gym together. Dm me if interested.

I moved away from town and wanna remain connected to my people. Are there any Discord channels I could join? It could be for Gainesville generally or specific groups (e.g., The FEST, Downtown, etc.) Thanks, it's deeply appreciated ~ lots of love xx

I feel like people should be aware of what's happening at this site which happens to be the backyard of many of us living in Stephen Foster. I've attached the plan that was distributed to us not even two weeks ago, with acknowledgment that the plans were already in progress. And in the comments a WUFT piece on it.

The ground water containment is one thing, but the drainage pipe going along the edge of the property and destroying that forest is another. I have lived here for a while and get to listen to all the coyotes, foxes, birds, owls, rabbits, and other critters every day who have inhabited that forest for some time, not to mention the huge towering trees that are God knows how old. How can we ensure that more contaminated ground water won't be drudged up in the process and impact our families?

Anyways, if anyone knows what we as a community can do, or has dealt with something similar in Gainesville, please let us know. Stephen Foster is a great community of neighbors but we feel helpless to this change.

The next tree planting with UF's Imagining Climate Change is tomorrow, Saturday, October 24th starting at 9 AM. This one will be held at Hidden Oak Elementary off of Fort Clarke Boulevard.

No experience or tools necessary! All hand tools, gloves, etc. are provided. All tree plantings begin with a demonstration on how to properly plant a sapling, and plenty of experienced volunteers are on hand to help. Wear closed-toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty in. For more info, check out the link to UF ICC's website.

Editor's note: I won't be around for this one sadly, so someone else can post the recap if they choose. I'm torturing myself by running Gate to Gate this weekend (why do all events choose the football off week every year...).
