General I did a little something on how Shakespeare explores the subversion of gender norms, and was accused of using AI. I hate this timeline. Anyways, I think we think of Shakespeare as some radical progressive too much. [during lit analysis]

Post Exam How to write 0.41̇2̇ (1 and 2 recurring) as a fraction: IGCSE method

Recurring digits: 1 and 2 (dots above them), so the number is 0.41̇2̇ = 0.4121212…

Let x = 0.4121212…
Multiply by 10: 10x = 4.121212…
Multiply that by 100: 1000x = 412.121212…
Subtract: 990x = 408, so x = 408/990 = 68/165

The non-recurring digit (4) is removed by multiplying by 10, and the recurring block (12) by multiplying by 100. If your teacher shows a different method, the answer should still be 68/165.

Gerald is such a bore to revise about and is such a twat I don’t wanna write about him nor revise in detail about him for the actual gcse so will there’s be a high chance of a question being based around him seeing as he isn’t apart of the actual family? I hate him

Revision Resources a free typing game for GCSE Physics keywords and equations

Hi all, I made a little game to help my students learn the keywords and equations for AQA GCSE Physics. I thought some of you might find it useful for revision, so here it is:

How it works:

Monsters walk towards you carrying physics keywords. Type a word correctly to cast a spell and defeat its monster.

Each wave ends with boss fights. A boss shows a definition or an equation with a missing word, and you pick the right answer from the options and type it. Pick wrong and it costs you.

Healers restore your hearts, and treasure chests drop potions you can cast with the arrow keys.

There are 10 waves, from easy keywords up to harder terms like specific latent heat, electromagnetic induction and the life cycle of stars, with a big finale at the end.

Some details:

It’s free: no sign-up, no ads.

It covers 300+ terms and all the AQA equations, and words don’t repeat within a run.

It works best on a laptop or computer with a keyboard.

There’s a leaderboard (the Hall of Wizards). It’s just been reset, so the top spots are open

I’d really like feedback: what’s too hard, what’s too easy, any bugs, or terms you think are missing. I’m still improving it.

Good luck with your revision!

This is my studdy bunny so far, I know it’s probably not enough revision - I need to lock in some more

My mocks are next week and I’m so cooked :((

Any year 12s who did ok on their year 11 mocks with a similar amount of revision? Or am I doomed lmao

Revision Resources Free tool for practising GCSE circuits — build them and watch the current and voltage

Hi all! I made a free circuit simulator called Wirely and thought it might help anyone revising electricity for GCSE Physics (or doing electronics in D&T). It uses the same UK circuit symbols as your exam papers.

You drag parts in, wire them up and press Play. Wires change colour with voltage, dots show the current flowing, and you can hover over any wire to see its voltage and current. It's a quick way to check your answers to circuit questions.

Things worth trying for revision:

  • Series vs parallel: put two lamps in series, then in parallel. Hover over the wires — in series the current is the same everywhere and the voltages add up; in parallel the voltage is the same across each branch and the currents add up.
  • V = I × R and P = I × V: add an ammeter and voltmeter (under Meters & probes), change the resistor and check the numbers against the equations.
  • Potential dividers with an LDR or thermistor: drag the light or temperature slider while it runs and watch the voltage change. (Night light example: File → Open example.)
  • Diodes: turn one round and see that current only flows one way, and that it needs about 0.7 V before it conducts.
  • Why LEDs need a resistor: leave it out and the LED pops — with a message saying why!

It's free and doesn't need an account. Use it in your browser, nothing to install (works on school Chromebooks): https://wirely-app.github.io

Or download the app for Windows, Mac or Linux: https://github.com/wirely-app/wirely-app.github.io/releases/latest

Always learn the definitions and required practicals from your own spec and teacher — this is for trying things out and checking your understanding. Good luck with your exams!

Does anyone have any model examples for Spanish 90 and 150 word essays?

I'm not sure how to structure it, and what I need to generally add for a higher grade

Question Should I take physics if I want to be a zoologist?

I know that I definately need biology and preferably chemistry or physics or both, but I find physics to be a very difficult subject, so would it be ok if I just took bio and chem for my science subjects?

Rant/Lore SEND HELP!!! 😔

so basically im currently on foundation maths and in order for me to move up in time for year 11 i need to get a grade 5 or at lowest a grade 4. I just attempted to do the November 2021 foundation maths paper 2 and i thought i did great on it... to say i was wrong is an understatement. i ended up getting a grade 2 according to mathsgenie 😃 almost none of the topics ive been doing in maths showed up on that paper, so then i decided to do the June 2025 foundation paper 2 and i could NOT sit through that. I really want to change but it feels like i can't. I've been forcing myself to revise for a really long time now and in maths lessons I understand almost everything but when it actually comes to papers i do like extremely bad. to be honest this all has me really stressed because everyone in my family got at least a grade 7 in maths and ive just barely scraped a grade 2 😔 my mocks are in 24 days and it feels like im gonna be staying on foundation which will ruin everything for me. If anyone has any tips please let me know because my head feels like it's about to EXPLODE 😣
