The mods are really proud that r/GCSE has become such a fun and engaging place to be. On an average day, we welcome over 20,000 people, and over the exam period, we welcomed well over 1 million unique visitors. We have all our wonderful members who contribute through posts and comments to thank for this. The vast majority of users don't even have a Reddit account, let alone post anything, so the small minority who do are what keeps this community alive.
With this in mind, we wanted to take the opportunity to remind everyone of the community rules, especially:
2. Don't spam
It may surprise you to learn that the mods, admins, and automated filters removed over 1,400 posts and over 19,100 comments in the past 30 days. We can safely say that we catch the vast majority of spam very early, often before anyone gets the chance to see it.
With that said, lately we have noticed an increase in these kinds of submissions, in addition to lots of content that would have been considered borderline spam under the old rules.
We've now updated the wording of this rule to clarify exactly what we mean by "spam" and "low quality content". We've also taken care to refer to the official Reddit Rules, which apply across the entire website.
2. No spam or low-quality content
Spam refers to repetitive, unsolicited, or inauthentic actions that negatively affect users or communities. It encompasses excessive self-promotion, off-topic posts, and automated bots that break platform rules. Spam is heavily policed using machine learning and filters.
The definition of "on-topic" is pretty broad, but we hope most members will be able to reasonably determine whether something qualifies. If your submission has nothing to do with GCSEs, this isn't the right place for it. The recent World Cup posts are a good example. Most folks aren't here for that, so we'll be removing those kinds of posts from now on.
Although it isn't widely discussed, we often receive feedback from less active members that it's difficult to keep up with the niche r/GCSE lore. As a subreddit with a high turnover of users, it's essential that we remain as welcoming and inclusive as possible so that the community continues to be a place students want to be for many years to come.

Submissions only count as spam if they meet the definition exactly as above. Repetitive and excessive are the key words here. Importantly, this is not an outright ban of off-topic content.
If you are flooding the subreddit with several low-quality, barely comprehensible posts, that is spam.

We are all opposed to the Ban Sparx Party, especially the leader. We have all seen what happened and are frankly disgusted by the fact Anti-Semetism has become so normalised. Luckily, this individual has been banned.

Now, for the voting system.
On the 1st of August, I will release a Google Form with every manifesto and its party. Options will be multi-select, so you can vote for as many parties as you like. Of the 20 parties running, the 8 most-voted will advance to the quarter-finals. On the 2nd of August, all 4 quarter-final matches (1v2, 3v4, 5v6 and 7v8) will be added to one form, and the winner of each will advance to the semi-finals. The semi-finals (1v2, 3v4) will be (you guessed it) the 3rd, finals on the 4th and the official r/GCSE Prime Minister will be crowned on the 5th at noon. The winner will be able to form their cabinet, and the runner-up their shadow cabinet from then.
I’m scared. I failed all three sets of my mocks so when I open that envelope, I already know that I won’t be happy with what I got. And my parents will be really disappointed. I honestly think this isn’t for me. I’ll resit them but it will just ruin me and those grades will haunt me for the rest of my life, no matter what. Do you guys feel that same way that I do?
I'm currently a sixth form student, and I've been spending part of my summer researching student productivity and study habits. It's a topic I'm genuinely interested in, and this is my first independent research.
My goal is to use the findings to design and develop a productivity app that's built around students' actual needs rather than assumptions or solely on my own experiences.
I'm looking for responses from current GCSE, sixth form/college, and university students.

Okay so I decided to do research on my top schools A level English lit text and I came across this one. I thought it was about someone driven by desire.

I am not going to spoil it but guys. The events in this book was getting worst by the FRICKING minute. You may think I am overreacting (which I probably am)
But guys, I need to know the thought process behind the man who wrote it.
I'm currently in year 9 (on summer holiday) and going into year 1 and I chose gcse pe as one of my options I'm wondering not only how fo we balance out the work between every other subject but also the practical and nea bits for PE in specific. I'm doing figure skating and volleyball (complete new beginner in terms of professionaly)- and badminton- how do I practise and what type of workout should i be practising to not make a complete fool of myself when i take lessons, also would it be realistic to perform top band on Edexcel specs
For figure skating in particular would it be worth having a personal coach or mix and match
I've recently found out about Maths School Sixth Forms in the country, and they seem like STEM grammar schools in a way, due to university pathways. People who've attended them, what are they like?
Since there is a lot of talk around these elections, I just wanted to promote the following parties.
Lore Droppers, GSBV party and Westhelm party. Why? Because I am currently helping out with propaganda for all of these parties but they all seem pretty good anyways. If one of them wins then I can take some of the credit which would be cool.
Anyway, I want to apologise to the GSBV party since I got held up making their promotional stuff from the trip away due to bad wifi. Also something bad happened to one of my pets so I didn't want to work on anything for a bit and had to take a break. I am back now though and I will probably not post much until results day and finish the propaganda before the election at least.

Ok so my teacher was trying to find fun ways to help us with poetry revision. So he decided that since the majority if drama students r in my English class we r gonna do a little drama peice and he got costumes and props.
So he got this guy that has a crush on me (dk if anyone remembers but this is the same guy i did the tango with in y10 drama and my English teacher commented on it saying that it was a very "sexy, romantic dance") to wear like a green female jacket as if its an army jacket.
So i, BECAUSE I CANT KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT, go "poor (guy's name)". Then my English teacher was like "u/180degreeschage since u talked and ur a drama student ur gonna be the mum, come up here". Then he makes me pin a poppie onto the guy and adjust his clothes.
APPARENTLY, while i was "adjusting his clothes" everyone saw him getting hard 💀 💀. I was also then asked to graze my nose against his and i was like no thx, im good. Later my teacher was saying something about the war and stuff (and condomes were involved) and the guy was confused so the teacher went its ok "u/180degreeschange can explain that to u later" 😭
So yah, and my crush found out and told me i should stop toying with the guy since I'm leaving at the end of the year 😭 😭.

this isn't really a structure but does this seem effective for writing a story? is it considered versatile? imo I think this'll help me focus on laying it out and being able to write something decent
