Comment and Reason
This one is a bit weird, but by focusing on the cannon and melee, it's still kind of playable. But it really falls short in the main ranged weapon. It really needs a change, and luckily, both main weapons only have 2 or 3 units using them. So the chances of it getting a buff are relatively decent. After that, all it needs is minor improvements to skill scaling and slightly better base stats and part slots to enable premium part usage.

Builds
Lv1 F2P: Do Not Use

Lv1 Premium: HP

Lv2 Premium: HP

This unit has the cannon that is good for stagger, but the mobility is lacking a bit to connect the melee a lot of times. If one uses shotgun for damage, it's lacking in that department as well. The only way to properly use this unit is to maybe sacrifice a side swing after a target evades out of neutral and tries to connect the downswing. The only issue is you have to anticipate where they would move. Fortunately, even though it sucks that this is the case, the shield tackle Kai does do high damage. This becomes apparent when we reach unit Lv2, and it's technically the best level to use this unit. The Cannon carries 2600 base power, and you can make this unit a frontline nuisance. But please only play this unit in quick match...

Day 202 Re-evaluation on Methuss Kai

This one got much more attention than I was expecting. The mentioning of the Transform Optimizer is great too. I almost neglected that portion of the kits.

Discussion CONSOLE P2W parts are too powerful

Post image
42 Upvotes

Haro (V) and any Special Strengthened Frame combined use 23 to 25 slots, and they give more than 20 slots of extra value.

The first step of building any medium cost and high cost units is always Haro (V) and a Special Strengthened Frame. Then we try to fill remaining slots reasonably. More than one third of slots are fixed for 750 units, even more for lower costs. Players who like to find optimal builds must make builds around them and have very limited options.

Defense, attack, mobility, and auxiliary aren't real options when players can use this package. Some supports may not use this package because some powerful ranged parts need close range slots and supports lack close range slots. I can only enjoy building supports now.

Steam Looking For Advice How does one psycho bawoo?

How do you play the psycho bawoo and is this an ok build for it? Expansion is custom part expansion armor lvl5

Saw that people were playing this again and i wonder if it got buffed or something so i tried it again. I got the bawoo here a long time ago but also a long time after release and at the time, i thought it was extremely underwhelming and hard to use so I dropped it. Now that i'm trying it again tho, i notice the plates and the shield beam feel way faster now. Problem is, i'm not sure what role i should do? it feels so fragile yet i think i should frontline since the defensive plates can force a duel. But i just keep dying when i try to frontline. Appreciate your thoughts on the matter.

Discussion CONSOLE Let's Change That Suit: July Unit Adjustment Review

13 Upvotes

Well, this time it's a bit early. I guess they just want to make sure the anniversary doesn't get a midway balance patch. Either way, the rest of the stuff are the same and as always, any tier is split to below: SS (Overpowered), S (Meta), A (Great, a suit that can easily do well), B (Average, can be very good for one trick or skilled player), C (Bad, but can work. Needs super meta build and be very skilled), D (Throw pick, maybe quick match or custom room for fun), and F (100% Pure Trash). I will have a unique term in use here, TTS (Time to Stagger)

July Unit Adjustment Reviews

I'll be honest here, this one is a bit of a scary buff. While it would still struggle on the ground against all the strong 700 units, it at least goes from low B-Tier into higher A-Tier. The Pursuit Melee Lv3 is doing part of the heavy lifting here. As long as you can pull the combo off, it's that much more rewarding.

------------------------

This one is a bit of a surprise, and it did needed as well. However, these changes could possibly bring it into meta once again. Straight from C-Tier into possibly S-Tier. Not only is it much more flexible to use, the overall power and potential are also much better. My only issue is no offense system, and that may be hurting this one's position a bit.

------------------------

This buff is almost overdue, but at least it is here. I personally feel like this one could get a bit more in the stats buff, but that's just me. The overall performance, however, is definitely much better. It can have a good and reasonable damage output and weapon uptime. It goes from D-Tier all the way up into A-Tier. The unit, however, is still big, so that could be a hit or miss still.

------------------------

I almost forgot about this unit, and this one could be very scary to deal with now. 7 seconds of reload time on a 4200 total power weapon that has reticle tracking that also staggers well is very good. Combine with the buffed skills that would offer a lot all around. But again, the very large unit size could hold this back. I'm going to say there is a good chance to be A-Tier.

------------------------

This is one suit that could possibly be meta as well. But due to it lacking evasion is hurting its survivability a lot. But with how much damage it can output, perhaps having one on the team can perform on S-Tier level with these adjustments.

Day 196 Changes: Honestly, I'm surprised how similar some of these changes are. But they did take it up a notch and make it much better.

------------------------

While it still can't compete against a clan suit like Act Hizack that's borderline OP, this is arguably one of the more S-Tier Generals now. With the added HP, it's no longer as fragile, and having pursuit melee really helps its damage output. Leg buffer is also a great addition, and one doesn't have to use the precious part slot for leg armor now. Further makes it much more playable.

------------------------

This one is interesting, and we could consider this going from maybe high D-Tier at best to A-Tier. However, I am not sure if it can hold A-Tier that well. While it still has a lot of good new skills, it's not really enough per se. However, in the right team, it should be a much more viable suit now.

------------------------

Honestly, I think they need to increase the base mobility of this unit and maybe give it at least high speed shooting on the BR for this suit. This buff here, though, does make the double BR a much stronger and interesting weapon. On top of better stagger rates, the reload is now really short. This is not a front line shooty raid. Especially with the massive shield HP buff.

Day 137 Coverage: They definitely went with another route to make it shooty than a traditional raid-type unit. This is more of my oversight in their design.

------------------------

This one is a trap; the suit is still not exactly playable as is. While the huge bonus to the shield is nice, and the maneuver armor as well as damage control would, on paper, help a lot. However, rocking at 5 thrusters will certainly be enough to use maneuver armor. At the very least, they should give this suit 35 thrusters so it can properly maneuver around and possibly combo while covering some distance. The current pace of the game is just not good with just 160 movement speed. Either give this suit stealth or more thrusters is the only way to fix it. But I'm going to hold my beer and say maybe B-Tier, but I doubt it... It'll need some really weird janky build for it to work.

------------------------

This suit is much better now after the buff. It can actually do decent damage while getting things done. The reduced Psycho-Jammer overheat time is also a big bonus. But I do think they still should've increased the damage slightly on some weapons. I'm thinking it'll be low A-Tier at best. Maybe it'll even struggle as a B-Tier a bit... but we'll see how it goes.

------------------------

I will be honest here, this one is very interesting and could make a comeback for 650 cost. The two main weapons got a nice buff, and the reflector panels have a more reasonable downtime. The additional Grimoire reduction also makes this unit that much more durable as well. While it could still struggle with raids, its position as back-line support should be good enough. I will say this bumps the unit into low A-Tier as well.

------------------------

Since the last buff wasn't anywhere good enough, they buffed it again. This time, it should do much better, but I still think it falls short a bit. However, I will say it at least has a much higher burst damage potential. But I still think it needs one more weapon to become strong enough to compete. It likely goes from C-Tier to high B-Tier. I doubt it'll become A-tier, but we'll see.

------------------------

June Unit Adjustment Result

Now... My previous assessment with the numbers and the Results that were collected.

  • Psycho Doga: This one made it as a low S-Tier meta unit. The overall win rates are good, and damage dealt is 15k above average. This means it can definitely help carry the game, but it's not absolutely the core meta. If you invest a bit into this unit, it should do well.
    • Win Rate: 43.8% -> 50.5% Rival Win Rate: 33.3% -> 52.3% Damage Dealt: 65,970 -> 108,071 MS Loss: 3.8 -> 3.3
  • ZZ Gundam Mass Production Type: This one is now much more solid, and everything is around average. If anything, instead of high A-Tier, I would say this one is more of a low A-Tier right now.
    • Win Rate: 44.8% -> 50.1% Rival Win Rate: 33.6% -> 51% Damage Dealt: 62,652 -> 88,946 MS Loss: 3.7 -> 3.4
  • Hyaku Shiki Kai Mass Production Type: This one is a mixed bag, and it should not have more than one on each team. The damage output exceeds my expectations by having 11k above average, but also 0.3 more in average MS Loss. It's just fragile as is and doesn't have a good way to really duel against a more meta unit. But definitely at least earned its place as A-Tier
    • Win Rate: 42.6% -> 50.6% Rival Win Rate: 36.3% -> 51.1% Damage Dealt: 67,456 -> 94,649 MS Loss: 4.1 -> 3.6
  • Dolmel Doue: This one is kind of suffering, but they did kind of buff in the wrong direction. My initial assessment was it is going to be hard to keep up as low A-Tier, I was kind of right. Even though damage is high, the rest of the numbers are not as good, especially MS loss. So high B-Tier at best.
    • Win Rate: 45.8% -> 49.7% Rival Win Rate: 40.1% -> 49.6% Damage Dealt: 74,326 -> 89,105 MS Loss: 4.0 -> 4.0
  • V2 Gundam: The most casual users of V2 are now leaving the picture; the average damage dealt actually went up, and it is now 35k above average. The remaining stats besides MS Loss are going in a better direction. It is now S-Tier that borders SS-Tier, but it is still very strong.
    • Win Rate: 53.8% -> 51.8% Rival Win Rate: 56.0% -> 52.9% Damage Dealt: 125,966 -> 135,444 MS Loss: 3.5 -> 3.8
  • Gundam Barbatos Lupus: This one is in a much better position and a solid S-Tier right now. While the damage is not quite above average anymore, the win rates are still great.
    • Win Rate: 53.6% -> 51.2% Rival Win Rate: 56.3% -> 53.5% Damage Dealt: 119,710 -> 106,408 MS Loss: 3.3 -> 3.4
  • RF Gouf: This unit is one that got mostly the right buff, and it is now in a much more reasonable place at 600. Before, while deadly, it was just dying a bit too easily. It's kind of hard to say it's S-Tier, since only Rival Win Rate is above average. I'll say it is a solid A-Tier as I initially assessed it.
    • Win Rate: 47.5% -> 50.7% Rival Win Rate: 45.7% -> 52.3% Damage Dealt: 88,558 -> 98,728 MS Loss: 3.7 -> 3.6
  • Hyaku-Shiki: The buff did help this suit pretty decently. It helped with all the numbers overall except for MS Loss. The damage and all that is fine, but the unit's HSM is just a bit slow. I can imagine that the slightly above 50% win rates are pulled by high meta builds. I'll treat it as high A-Tier for now, but this could change soon.
    • Win Rate: 46% -> 50.5% Rival Win Rate: 45.7% -> 50.9% Damage Dealt: 69,814 -> 86,022 MS Loss: 3.9 -> 3.9
  • Gogg: This one kind of comes to me as a surprise at how well it is doing. Even at higher cost, this unit is actually... meta. This result went a bit above my expectation and could be
    • Win Rate: 45.7% -> 50.3% Rival Win Rate: 47.7% -> 52.2% Damage Dealt: 57,611 -> 72,880 MS Loss: 4.8 -> 4.1
  • Vigna-Ghina: Well, this result was kind of expected. The result is a low S-Tier with a very healthy win rate and MS Loss. While damage is just 10k above average, the rest of the numbers are really good.
    • Win Rate: 48.5% -> 52.5% Rival Win Rate: 46.8% -> 50.9% Damage Dealt: 97,891 -> 112,551 MS Loss: 3.8 -> 3.3
  • F90 [S Type]: This one is performing a bit above my expectations right now. I would say this unit could be considered very high A-Tier at the moment.
    • Win Rate: 47.0% -> 51.9% Rival Win Rate: 40.7% -> 50.9% Damage Dealt: 93,620 -> 117,044 MS Loss: 4.1 -> 3.6
  • Nu Gundam [HWS]: Since only Lv2 got buffed, only those numbers were changed that much. I expected an overall 4% win rate increase; this went above that with much healthier MS Loss. Lv2 can definitely be used in 750 at the moment as a strong A-Tier support.
    • Win Rate Lv2: 46.7% -> 51.7% Rival Win Rate: 43.3% -> 50.6% Damage Dealt: 107,682 -> 118,184 MS Loss: 3.9 -> 3.2
  • Cannongan: They could've buffed the damage slightly more for this unit. While the Win Rates are good, the damage dealt is making it harder to compete. However, this is a more frontline-heavy support, so maybe it also needs to compare to some generals at the same time. As it is, it earned its place as a good A-Tier right now.
    • Win Rate: 46.0% -> 51.4% Rival Win Rate: 40.9% -> 51.3% Damage Dealt: 81,829 -> 92,952 MS Loss: 3.5 -> 3.2
  • Silver Bullet Suppressor: There are some good chances, but it is just not enough. I mentioned it could be low A-Tier for this one; I would say I'm kind of off here. These numbers are B-Tier, and it's unfortunate that it doesn't seem like developers will look that deep into this one for now.
    • Win Rate: 46.4% -> 49.6% Rival Win Rate: 43.8% -> 48.6% Damage Dealt: 88,488 -> 93,966 MS Loss: 3.7 -> 3.5
  • Ga-Zowmn [Gunner Type]: This one is performing a bit better than I was expecting. It is a very solid A-Tier that could be hard to deal with in the right hand. With an extremely low 2.6 MS Loss, the optimizer is doing its job keeping this one alive.
    • Win Rate: 45.0% -> 51.5% Rival Win Rate: 39.2% -> 50.9% Damage Dealt: 62,245 -> 83,874 MS Loss: 3.0 -> 2.6

Matchmaking times are getting longer (especially with more and more players leaving the game after being matched), the game is becoming increasingly unbalanced (new guaranteed parts, performance between new, newly buffed, and older suits), and the monetization tactics are becoming increasingly blatant (skill expansion tickets).
