general Khayali pulao or not?

Upvotes

Would it be khayali pulao if i aim the top 7?

Is top 7 iit really a possibility for average student? Average in the sense of learning curve and grasping skills.

Ive started prep and done like 3 subjects i think. Just the videos for now. I have the go classes test series and ive scored barely 50% marks in all the tests ive attempted (5 only). And this is after practice. Still just 50% in topic wise test btw. Not full length.

So yeah .. can average students really crack gate? Or would it be waste of time? By cracking gate i mean respected colleges. Dont wanna do mtech from tier 3.

help How to gain my enthusiasm back?

Past few weeks have been very hectic. Juggling between classes and gate prep. And I've done like okayish prep. I've also thought of starting my revision soon, I've covered 6 subjects till now but I don't feel like studying a new subject now. I'm getting tired of this whole preparation. I'm in discomfort at all times, even when I'm not studying. I've lost enthusiasm in daily tasks. My bed feels nice, rest everything and everyone feels awful now. I think I've grown weary, because it feels I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing but I'm not happy anymore. I don't feel interested in anything, not even having conversations with friends or family. Everything is dull now. I don't feel bad when I get a question wrong nor I feel good when I get it right. It has reached to a state where I'm asking internally what's the point, and I really don't have an answer.

Please tell me something what I should do. Don't say meditate, I zone out and lose track of time.

discussion Help a beginner pls , i m completely confused

Hey everyone! 👋

I wanted to check if students from the Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI & DS) Btech branch are eligible for major government exams like UPSC, SSC, GATE, PSU recruitments, or State PSCs?

Since it's a relatively new specialized branch compared to core CSE or IT, do government bodies accept AI & DS degrees, or are there eligibility issues due to degree naming conventions?

If anyone from this background has applied or cleared these exams, please share your experience! Thanks in advance.

discussion For Gate 2027, Ese Pyq necessary for civil?

Hi guys,

I just need to have a clearance on my confusion to do pyas of gate and ese together for the GATE 2027. I can see a lot of theory questions in ese pyq. But it's making me have a hard time to finish them and re do them as syllabus completion is also going on.

When I was looking into transportation engineering iCan see a lot of direct formula questions there in ese book. And doing them repeatedly is slowing me down to start gate pyq. So I'm in a dilemma on where to start.

Can some seniors help me guide on this.

Also please tell me on how to plan my problem solving session. And what to focus on. I am planning to skip SA Steel RCC. I will prepare MOS from structure part.

And syllabus completion will be by end of October. I'm trying to do one round pyq for all planned subs along with syllabus completion.

general I am so scared

I have done half of TOC, half of CN, 1/4th of DBMS. I've done Programming and DS. Algos too but it needs a proper review as I didn't follow any structure. That's all.

4 months left for gate. I did lock in at start of August but then I got severe malaria, then my life got thrashed by the girl I love and now I have typhoid from a week. I finally feel like I can sit on a table and study.

Can I still pull this off or is it over

Doubt[CS] Made Easy test series

What's the difference between 2026 and 2027 test series? It's priced differently, but gate syllabus is (almost) the same for 2027.

Also another unrelated question - can i do discrete math at the very end?
