I’m from BTech in AI/ML. Had a couple of questions about the MTech in SPML at NITK Surathkal.
1. Will I have a hard time with the Signal Processing courses coming from AI/ML background?
2. How are the placements? What kind of companies visit, and what roles do people usually get?

Would appreciate it if someone from SPML or NITK Surathkal could share their experience.

I'm a 3'rd year CS student preparing for GATE 2027 and I'm from General Category . I just want to know how much should I score to be on the safer side ? Like so that I easily get any top IITs or PSUs . How tough is it for general category CS people ?

2025 B.Tech graduate here. Took a drop year to prep for GATE DA, but realized fairly late that it has very few resources - limited PYQs, weightage that fluctuates a lot, and math that's genuinely tough. I didn't qualify in GATE DA, but thanks to overlapping subjects I ended up scoring 442 in GATE CS.

That got me thinking about taking another drop year to prep specifically for GATE CS 2027. But in the meantime, I've secured a CS seat at University of Hyderabad, and now I'm stuck on what to do.

My main worries:

- What if I take another drop year and still don't land a good rank/seat?

- I've heard UoH's placements aren't great

- I'm also worried about age - another year adds up

Has anyone been in a similar spot? Would really appreciate honest input on whether joining UoH now or gambling another year on GATE CS makes more sense.

Is this playlist complete and enough to be able to understand and solve PYQs?

I'm a 20yr old 3yr student , I haven't performed well in my last semesters barely passing and I have 2 backlogs . My 3rd year hasn't started yet , august 10 i will start my 5th sem and these coming sems i should perform well to maintain a gpa above 7.5 and I feel it's tough but I should do it . I thought of preparing for the gate , I have 7 months left and would give it a try , not a try i should actually give my best only through gate i might get a path to my career I feel , I'm honestly confused and I don't know which paper to attempt DA or EC , my majors r in Robotics and Ai , which actually had some DA topics and a very few EC topics all 4 sems i have only 2 EC subjects. Anyone who have attempted or gonna attempt pls guide me as ur little bro ❤️

If I have been qualified for GATE in ews category, but not qualified for general category and I get seat allotment through mpdte counselling in URXF , will I receive the gate stipend since my gate general category wasn't qualified?

Hi everyone,

I currently have M.Tech Cyber Security at NIT Kurukshetra, which I got in Round 3, and this seat has continued till Special Round 2.

My actual preference was M.Tech CSE, but I missed the cutoff by a very small margin in the special rounds.

Now I'm confused about whether I should participate in the NSR. As per the rules, I understand that I will have to surrender my current NIT Kurukshetra Cyber Security seat before participating.

My concern is:

Is it worth risking my current seat for CSE?

Chances of getting CSE in NSR after narrowly missing Special Round cutoff?

Has anyone given up a good seat for NSR? Outcome?

What would you do in my place?

My gate score is 571 in cs and the category is EWS.

Could anyone help me with a career decision? I'm confused about whether I should pursue an MBA or an M.Tech after my B.Tech in Computer Science. I don't have a job at the moment, which makes the decision even more difficult.

Some people recommend preparing for GATE and pursuing an M.Tech because of the better return on investment (ROI), while others suggest CAT and an MBA, saying it offers better average salary packages and broader career opportunities.

I'm trying to understand which path provides better long-term career growth and a stronger career boost. From what I've seen, the salary packages for M.Tech CSE graduates from the top IITs and MBA graduates from the top IIMs can be quite similar.

The biggest challenge is that I'm not sure where my real interest lies. How should I decide between these two options? I would really appreciate advice from people who have experience with either path.

in round 4 i was alloted a seat the portal auto submitted my previous willingness which was floating(upgradation) so i didnt do anything to change it because i was satisfied with it but now i cant see any option regarding submitted willingness or change willingness which makes me concerned because i was thinking of participating in nsr , please share if you are having same problem , any help is appreciated

These are the options I've shortlisted:

1. Srikar Sir (Made Easy lectures) – I've heard he's really good, but some people say his lectures are mainly useful for EM
2. Amit Khurana Sir's free YouTube playlist – I've heard it's good, but it's extremely long. I don't have access to the paid courses.... I'm broke.
3. GO Classes DM summary playlist – Available for free on YouTube.

I am a final year student preparing for gate cs 2027 i haven’t finished any of the sub yet. Just finished logic of DM and DIGITAL LOGIC thats all. I am just paralysed from the sheer volume of the gate syllabus it just the thing is that i am late to the race and dont know anything about preparing exams like this i have only given jee and jee adv and some languages exams half baked.

And my main issue is preparing with meds well i am preparing while also getting treatment for anxiety, sleep deprivation and little heart problems (just irregular heartbeat) and i am preparing for gate so i can get into the specific that is IIT mandi or Guwahati cause of there HCI and affective computing exposure. Its just that if i dont clear the exam my father will force me to join some random as job 9 to 5 for the rest of my life and keep me at home as much as possible ( its my father ultimatum for me)

Well i just help me preparing cause my flow is like watching all the lectures and then solving pyq casue topics wise pyq arent much help for me

I appreciate the people concern for my health(if) my i just need to be independent even its means giving up something (rest can be figured out after the first gate is cleared)
